Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Aside from that, there's video of him being literally toured and escorted throughout the building by security.
The only good thing to come out of all that J6 stuff is that anyone using the word "insurrection" has automatically identified themselves as a Cloud People wannabee.
"And all the stars that never were, are parking cars and pumping gas.*" * baristas in the 21st century One of Zach-bots favorite topics. Expect an onslaught. Let’s try and start the new year right and not feed the troll.
Good reminder:) I hate it when I see that there are an unusual number of comments, knowing it is the bot expounding its propaganda. I scroll past them to get to the good stuff, but it's irritating:(
QUOTE: Hidden from Public: Q Shaman Stands Outside Doors of US Capitol and Tells Everyone to Go Home – Reads Trump Tweet to Stay Peaceful and Go Home #Insurrection Trump didn't issue that statement until after 4 PM just before reinforcements arrived to clear the building. The video has been available on YouTube for months at least. Maniac: Aside from that, there's video of him being literally toured and escorted throughout the building by security. The police repeatedly ordered Chansley to leave, and he didn't until much later. The video was available to the defense but is not exculpatory. He and others entered the Capitol for the express purpose of stopping the counting of the electoral votes, "Stop the Steal". QUOTE: "I have said that any man who attempted by force or unparliamentary disorder to obstruct or interfere with the lawful count of the electoral vote for President and Vice President should be lashed to the muzzle of a 12-pounder and fired out of a window of the Capitol." — General Winfield Scott, 1861 Ah, the hypocrisy.
But butt, cry the Quibble-DickZ! The troll bot is just like a bad penny. It always turns up. lol
"Whoever came up with the term "insurrection" for a protest was a good propagandizer."
One doesn't have to be good at it; one doesn't even need to write the first sentence, when one has the Fourth Estate in their pocket. It's political symbiosis. Neither the Progressive Democratic Party nor the Legacy Mainstream Media would survive without the other propping it up. This was classic left wing/communist propaganda for a set up false flag event. The Democrats planned this. There are videos of busses full of BLM and Antifa activists dressed as Trump supporters but wearing black masks so they couldn't be identified. Other video of two busloads of FBI and police instigators dressed as Trump supporters who were there to cause trouble. The plan was to create an event that would distract attention from the massive and obvious stolen election. Thanks to the media and corrupt DC swamp it was all blown up into far more than they could hope for. But it was never an insurrection and would have been 100% peaceful without the BLM, Antifa and government instigators. This was a disgraceful act by the Fascist Democrats very similar to the Nazi's burning the Reichstag. It has set up the nation for civil war especially since the Fascist Democrats have decided to accelerate the great replacement. The next move by the Democrats will be war! It must be big and it must be before the election. They will find some way to put our military at risk like what happened at Pearl Harbor. OR another 9/11 attack on the homeland. Be ready, it's coming. Their (Obama and his minions) treachery knows no bounds. He intends to destroy America and he is succeeding.
OneGuy: This was classic left wing/communist propaganda for a set up false flag event. The Democrats planned this.
Turns out that the storming of the Capitol was caught on camera. The people have been identified. They were Trump supporters attempting to stop the certification of the electoral college. Over a thousand have been charged with federal crimes, hundreds already convicted. "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam"
Barack Obama An American 'insurrection' where nobody even thought to bring along a gun?...ok.
Lord Heathen: An American 'insurrection' where nobody even thought to bring along a gun?
Well, that's not true. Others had firearms nearby, including on the Capitol grounds. There were many other weapons, as well, including stun guns, chemical spray, tomahawk, ice pick, knives, baseball bats, and even an American flagpole used as a club to assault a police officer lying on the ground. Regardless of the weapons used, the fact is that people there on January 6, "attempted by force or unparliamentary disorder to obstruct or interfere with the lawful count of the electoral vote for President and Vice President". The rioters successfully stormed the Capitol and the Congress was forced to flee. "Others had firearms nearby, including on the Capitol grounds."
A blatant lie. Show me a single example of a Trump supporter there at the capitol with a gun who broke a gun law. There isn't even one example of this and that is why you are forced to doublespeak and outright lie about it. OneGuy: Show me a single example of a Trump supporter there at the capitol with a gun who broke a gun law.
Gee whiz. We just did. Guy Reffitt wore body armor, and carried a handgun, flexi-cuffs, and a radio for communications. Then he threatened his own children to keep quiet. Christopher Michael Alberts carried a 9-millimeter pistol loaded with hollow point bullets and extra ammunition onto the Capitol grounds. He yelled at the police, that he was doing his “duty to overthrow the government and reinstate a new government for the people,” and “Y’all wanted the war. You asked for it. Y’all got it.” Alberts was sentenced to seven years.
He was a protestor. He was legally armed. He was arrested outside the capitol as he was leaving the protest. He never brandished his weapon. The arresting officer was forced to change his statement since his original statement made his search and seizure illegal. He was convicted in a DC court where any innocent white person will also be convicted. He did not attend the Trump rally. He lived nearby and went there on a whim and never thought he needed to leave his licensed gun at home. It's not as though he shot someone illegally like Michael Byrd did.
OneGuy: He was a protestor. He was legally armed.
Neither Reffitt nor Alberts were legally armed. It is illegal to carry a firearm onto Capitol grounds. They were convicted of, among other things, "entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a firearm". Regardless, that contradicts Lord Heathen's comment about "An American 'insurrection' where nobody even thought to bring along a gun". Meanwhile, Lonnie Leroy Coffman pleaded guilty to possessing, in the vicinity of the Capitol on January 6, a pistol, rifle, and "hundreds of rounds of ammunition, several large-capacity ammunition feeding devices, a crossbow with bolts, machetes, camouflage smoke devices, a stun gun and 11 Molotov cocktails." Coffman was sentenced to about four years for violating both federal and DC law. "that contradicts Lord Heathen's comment about "An American 'insurrection' where nobody even thought to bring along a gun"
So is it your position that he and he alone was an insurrectionist? And he had a legal gun but had no intent to use it?? "Shall not be infringed" Means that the federal and state government cannot prevent you from bearing arms!! You are indeed responsible for what you do with a gun under law but it is 100% constitutional to carry it openly or concealed. But of course if the government exceeds their authority and makes an unconstitutional law it is literally impossible for the common man to fight it and prevail in court because of the expense and bureaucracy. IMHO when a congress person or a legislator votes for an unconstitutional law they themselves should be charged with a crime and go to jail. The common man should not be forced to endure unconstitutional infringements on their rights. OneGuy: So is it your position that he and he alone was an insurrectionist?
The people who stormed the Capitol on January 6, "attempted by force or unparliamentary disorder to obstruct or interfere with the lawful count of the electoral vote for President and Vice President". The rioters successfully stormed the Capitol and the Congress was forced to flee. Hundreds have already been convicted under the law, including some for seditious conspiracy. OneGuy: Means that the federal and state government cannot prevent you from bearing arms!! No rights are without limitations. The Supreme Court has always recognized that firearms can be limited in government buildings, or near the Vice President, among other places. In addition, Reffitt and Alberts were carrying firearms while in the commission of other crimes. Regardless, they were convicted under laws valid in the United States, and that answers your challenge to "Show me a single example of a Trump supporter there at the capitol with a gun who broke a gun law." "No rights are without limitations." Said the fascist. The limitations are that you are responsible for your actions. You have absolute freedom of speech, absolute! But if you yell fire in a crowded theater THEN you will pay a price for your actions. But your right of free speech remains unlimited.
You have a right to keep and bear arms. It was intended that this right not be infringed by government. They didn't mean it could be infringed if we got a majority in congress or the Supreme Court. They meant it could not be infringed. YES! It IS infringed because they got a majority in congress AND because they stacked the courts. The correct interpretation of the 2nd amendment is simply that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed by politicians or courts!! If you abuse this right and do something wrong then you suffer the consequences. YOUR government has indeed infringed on your rights AND they full intend to keep infringing on them until you are nothing but a slave to a fascist state. To do this they MUST take away all 2nd amendment rights and that and only that is what this infringement is all about. Because they cannot constitutionally take the rest of your rights if you are armed. Simple as that. OneGuy: But if you yell fire in a crowded theater THEN you will pay a price for your actions.
If government can punish you for falsely yelling fire in a crowded theater, then that is, by definition, a restriction on speech. OneGuy: You have a right to keep and bear arms. It was intended that this right not be infringed by government. So, the government can’t stop a dozen or a hundred or a thousand people armed with semi-automatic weapons from approaching the president, indeed, can’t restrict sharpshooters from taking up positions surrounding the president? It can only take action after they open fire, is that right? "If government can punish you for falsely yelling fire in a crowded theater, then that is, by definition, a restriction on speech."
Wrong again. The government can't constitutionally punish you for it. But anyone harmed by it could choose to sue you. The government isn't and shouldn't be Prosecutor, judge and jury. "So, the government can’t stop a dozen or a hundred or a thousand people armed with semi-automatic weapons from approaching the president" It happens every time the president goes out in public. BUT they are concealed. So yes if the president goes out into the public and walks around more than likely there are armed civilians around him. But if they act in an aggressive way with open display then they can be confronted. The bottom line is the government cannot legally/constitutionally infringe upon the citizens right to keep and bear arms. Is this a great constitution or what?? In fact the government has a duty and responsibility to protect prisoners from being stabbed with sharpened toothbrushes. But the government is specifically prohibited from infringing on the right of law abiding people to bear arms. They have their priorities all wrong.
OneGuy: The government can't constitutionally punish you for it.
Perhaps you are thinking of a different country than the United States and a different constitution than the U.S. Constitution. In the United States, speech which creates an imminent danger to others can be restricted. OneGuy: It happens every time the president goes out in public. BUT they are concealed.
If you have a right to bear arms, then they don't have to be concealed. Here are two examples of the government banning guns in restricted areas: Guns are banned during Trump's upcoming speech at the NRA conference. Guy Reffitt was convicted for carrying a gun onto Capitol grounds on January 6, 2021. "In free countries governments don't lie about protests as a pretext to gain more power for themselves. They don't selectively edit video for propaganda services, and then lie about them in fake hearings and show trials. But that is EXACTLY what happened."
