Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. The left/communists are desperate. They will once again resort to calling up their brown/black shirts to riot and mayhem. But the J6 trap worked so well that they will again have FBI and CIA operatives out there trying to get the right to demonstrate so they can blame the violence on them. Stay away from crowds. Stay away from blue cities and states. They are desperate to entrap you so they can push their anti-MAGA and anti-white agenda. Let them burn down their cities but stay away. This is going to be way worse than 2020.
OneGuy: But the J6 trap worked so well that they will again have FBI and CIA operatives out there trying to get the right to demonstrate so they can blame the violence on them.
Hundreds of Trump supporters have been convicted for the riots on January 6. There is copious images and video of their criminal acts, including attacks on the police. OneGuy: "But the J6 trap worked so well..."
Zach-bot: "Hundreds of Trump supporters have been convicted for the riots on January 6." So I see that you agree. It did, in fact, work so well. There were also Trump supporters who were imprisoned after being escorted peacefully throughout the capital by police as well as people who were not in Washington DC at all. And let’s not mention how people were put on a TSA hassle list for traveling to the DC area for any reason during late December 2020 to early January 2021.
mudbug: There were also Trump supporters who were imprisoned after being escorted peacefully throughout the capital by police as well as people who were not in Washington DC at all.
Instead of waving your hands in the general direction, perhaps you could provide a specific example.

Um, how about "The Shaman"? There's ample video of him literally being escorted through the building by police and even being shown to a door into the chamber:

Maniac: Um, how about "The Shaman"?
Jacob Chansley pleaded guilty to obstructing an official proceeding. He said he thought Trump had called him to the Capitol, so he joined in the civil disorder. He used a bullhorn to rile up the crowd. He demanded that lawmakers be brought out before the mob. He refused direct orders to leave the Capitol building. (The officer you see "escorting" Chansley had ordered him to leave the building.) He left a threatening note for Pence whom he had called a traitor. He gloated that lawmakers were forced to evacuate. He later claimed to the FBI that Pence was a "a child-trafficking traitor." Chansley was denied bail because he said he was going to return to the U.S. Capitol for Biden's inauguration, so the judge didn't believe he would meet the terms of pretrial release.

Right there you have exposed the crux of the problem with a corrupt DA, judge and/or jury. The defendant has numerous charges piled against him, his lawyer tells him the sad truth that the corrupt DA and 6th grade education jury will convict and the bought and paid for judge will give him the maximum sentence. Unless... you plead guilty and makeup/say whatever they want you to say to support their agenda and make it possible for them to take cover in the fact that you pleaded guilty. THAT is exactly what we have in the DOJ today, in the Biased left wing judges in DC and the literally stupid AND racist juries in DC. You could literally convict a ham sandwich in DC AND if it was made with white bread you don't even need to present evidence the jury will convict because it's white. The DC juries are the juries of your fears!! Not your peers.

Actually the videos show peaceful protest where only the FBI embedded and some black blocked Antifa and BLM infiltrators were violent. UNTIL the capitol and DC police began using violence and firing explosives at the protestors. Even then the violence consisted of pushback. The J6 protestors shouldn't have allowed themselves to be goaded into violence. But it wouldn't have mattered, they would have still been arrested and tried in corrupt DC courts because that was always Pelosi's plan to divert attention from the massive voter fraud.
OneGuy: Actually the videos show peaceful protest where only the FBI embedded and some black blocked Antifa and BLM infiltrators were violent.
Let's look at cases, shall we? Peter Francis Stager, the guy who beat a cop with an American flag pole as others pulled the victim further into the crowd, was a Trump supporter. Let's look at the Jan6 committee. Where is the witness testimony tapes/records? Did they destroy the evidence? Would it have been embarrassing to the Jan6 committee? Will they be held accountable for the missing evidence?
Subpoena the entire committee to find out where the evidence is or who destroyed the evidence.

Convicted in DC with DC juries. Given harsher sentences than anyone else similarly situated. After being imprisoned in barbaric conditions for long periods of time without bail.
Which is all you need to know. ruralcounsel: Convicted in DC with DC juries.
It wasn't just that they were convicted, but that there is substantial evidence of their criminal behavior. Two examples have been provided: Peter Francis Stager used an American flag pole to beat a police officer prone on the ground. Jacob Chansley was an instigator who carried a spear into the Capitol and who threatened to return to the Capitol when Biden was inaugurated. ruralcounsel: After being imprisoned in barbaric conditions for long periods of time without bail. Most defendants were granted pretrial release. Federal law presumes pretrial release. To hold someone before trial, the government has to show probable cause that the person is a flight risk, will undermine the judicial process, or is a continuing danger to society. As for "barbaric conditions," conditions were better than for most people held in the DC jail system. It's always interesting when people suddenly discover the poor conditions of jail when middle-class white people are caught up in the system. However, the jail generally meets minimum requirements under law. And, again, most defendants were granted pretrial release. ruralcounsel: Given harsher sentences than anyone else similarly situated. Most received probation. You can hate what happened on Jan6th, I see it as nothing more than a protest that got out of hand (and those folks should have been treated accordingly), but if you don’t think the way a majority of those people were hunted down and treated was an affront to justice in America then there really is no way to bridge the divide in this country. Kangaroo courts have more legitimacy.
Hoss: I see it as nothing more than a protest that got out of hand
Certainly some people were just along for the ride, but others went there with the explicit goal of storming the Capitol to stop the electoral process. The former, if they didn’t engage in violence, were generally given probation. Those that committed acts of violence, or who were conspiring to obstruct the lawful transfer of presidential power, were given much harsher sentences. QUOTE: The Left’s fear of fascism under Trump is the ultimate example of projection . . . This is the same Biden administration that has actually brought criminal charges against its political enemies. Trump never did so, even though he had ample opportunity and justification against Hillary Clinton. Criminal prosecution is not supposed to be at the whim of the president. If Clinton engaged in criminal behavior, Trump's Justice Department had an obligation to bring charges. QUOTE: For maybe the first time in the history of this nation, the FBI raided a political opponent’s attorney’s office to collect attorney-client privileged documents. The raids were pursuant to a legal warrant issued by a judge based on probable cause. Attorney-client privilege is not absolute and does not protect an attorney who is involved in criminal behavior. QUOTE: It arrested Trump's former allies Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro for simply giving advice Chesebro pleaded guilty to conspiracy to file false documents, while Powell pleaded guilty to conspiracy to interfere in the election—not for simply giving advice. QUOTE: the charges against them were so weak that no jail time or license suspension was issued. There was no jail time because they are cooperating witnesses in the conspiracy. QUOTE: And how is there not an element of fascism in the Biden government’s collusion with private entities, from Stanford University professors to social media giants, to stifle the speech of their conservative political enemies? The government is not allowed to coerce private entities to stifle free speech; however, the government has the right and duty to speak out on issues of public concern. QUOTE: How about Biden’s DOJ labeling concerned parents who spoke out at local school board meetings as possible domestic terrorists? That is incorrect. The Justice Department was investigating threats against members of school boards. QUOTE: Or Biden’s FBI raiding the home of a pro-life demonstrator and arresting him in front of his children at 6 a.m. only to have the charges tossed by a jury? Taking a case to court, and then the jury tossing charges is not fascism. QUOTE: Well, Trump was in office for four years. Trump has said he wants to "terminate the Constitution," execute retired military officers, tagged the media as "enemies of the people," and tapped into classic fascism by calling his political enemies "vermin." "and tapped into classic fascism by calling his political enemies "vermin."
Is that sorta like calling your political enemies 'deplorables?' And they are still doing it thanks to Merrick Garland..
https://www.independentsentinel.com/air-marshals-mission-follow-unconvicted-people-who-were-in-dc-jan-21/ Don't know what you mean by NPR being "educational" unless you're implying it's non-stop left-wing agitprop.
I used to listen to NPR while driving across the country and uneducated as to the real world. After hearing NPR tell listeners that Bill Clinton was basically a saint I never turned it on again.
QUOTE: Another Lie! Joe Biden Claims He “Taught at the University of Pennsylvania For Four Years” Biden was the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Professor of Practice at the University of Pennsylvania from 2017-2021. He didn't teach regular classes, but participated in lectures and roundtable discussions. I see…so a participation trophy…you wouldn't happen to have any transcripts of his contributions would you?
I was at Penn during that period. I'm not saying he was never there, and it's a big campus, but I don't recall any time the school was disrupted for the sitting VP attending a lecture/roundtable.
"Biden was the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Professor of Practice at the University of Pennsylvania from 2017-2021."
This is incorrect. He gave up the position in 2019 to run for president. HockeyDad: I'm not saying he was never there, and it's a big campus, but I don't recall any time the school was disrupted for the sitting VP attending a lecture/roundtable.
Lecture on logistical challenges to helping patients access cancer research. As a bonus, here is Biden at Widener University Delaware Law School when he was an adjunct professor. "Lecture on logistical challenges to helping patients access cancer research."
Ah yes. Part of the "Cancer Moonshot program to “end cancer as we know it" that Joe Biden was in charge of. I wonder how that went? As long as it is told by the right person or group, there is no lie Zach-bot will not defend. Biden's exact words were: "For four years, I was a full professor at the University of Pennsylvania"
RJP: Biden's exact words were: "For four years, I was a full professor at the University of Pennsylvania"
That is not the quote at issue. (Your accusation would consequently be a straw man.) We were responding to the quote in the original post that Biden said he “Taught at the University of Pennsylvania For Four Years”. That statement is not completely accurate as Biden took a leave of absence in 2019, though he retained the title until 2021. As for his claim of being a "full professor", that is not a formal title. His actual title was "practice professor," which is someone who provides special expertise for professional instruction. Returning to the cited article. The article claimed that "Joe Biden once again falsely claimed he taught at the University of Pennsylvania," but that itself is inaccurate. Biden did, in fact, teach at the University of Pennsylvania, holding the title of Practice Professor. He had also been an adjunct professor at Widener University Delaware Law School. LOL, just stop. Everyone knows he is a prolific liar. Your 'defense' is useless.
As expected, Zach-bot ignores the bald-faced lie staring us all in the face and instead, as always, focusses on meaningless semantic minutiae to divert from the real issue.
RJP: focusses on meaningless semantic minutiae to divert from the real issue.
The "real issue" is that the article falsely claimed that Biden never taught at the University of Pennsylvania. Chronic Absenteeism in DC Schools Was at 43% This Year (Where Are The Parents?)
Given the deplorable state of instruction in most public schools, this might be a good thing. There is a court battle going on in Gerogia that you likely haven't heard about. It has been going on since early 2021 after it was discovered that 150,000 "mail in" ballots were counted in the 2020 election but these ballots were never mailed out or maild back. All 150,000 of them are pristine. That is they were never folded to be stuffed in envelopes and they all have a vote for Biden that is marked identically, described as a perfect oval in the area where the voter is supposed to fill in the oval. It appears that all 150,000 of these ballots were printed already marked for Biden. The reason these mistakes (not folded, printed pre-marked) were made is simple; late on election night it became obvious that Biden was going to lose by about 150,000 votes and the quickest way to cheat was to quickly print off 150,000 identical ballots all marked for Biden.
This is pretty cut and dried. Just examine the 150,000 ballots and decide if they were in fact faked. So why the long delay? The state/county is fighting it. They have lawyers who have dragged this through courts in front of sympathetic judges who prevaricate and argue over process and delay and confound. But now they have almost run out of options, no more legal roadblocks that can be ruled in the governments favor. So the left has resorted to their last trick which is that all of the government lawyers intend to resign. That means the case will be put on hold until the government hires new lawyers and they can get up to speed on the case. Neat delay tactic, almost like pulling a fire alarm. But the investigators who opened the case think that in fact all of the 150,000 ballots have long ago been destroyed and all of this delaying tactics is just to hide that fact. That means even if the right wins this case and gets the go ahead to examine these ballots that they don't exist and nothing can be proved. Meanwhile Trump is still on trial for claiming that the election in Gerogia was stolen. Is this a great country or what? Re NPR, I used to be an regular listener, to the extent of contributing to my local station(s) every year. Always a bit "leftie," it's devolved into an ardent propaganda mouthpiece for the Progressive cause and spouts disinfo/misinfo as a matter of course. Even their "news" is opinion journalism. Every now and then I'll tune in but invariably move on in disgust, as seemingly every other story celebrates LGBTQ+ and/or decries the "fascist" right/"far right." Completely unlistenable and a wast of time, IMHO.
To those who never listen to NPR in car or wherever: Try it for a week or so. Educational...
NO! NPR = Proggie PROPAGANDA..... I used to listen to NPR and could put up with the arrogant unprincipled stupidity and their 100% reference to everyone to the right of Lenin as a "far right reactionary" for a few years but it grew so repetitive and stupid that I finally gave up last year and now I just listen to audio books.
RE: NPR
I used to listen to NPR; but it was during the Rodney King riots in LA that turned me off them. I was in DC and the show put together a group of professors and others from Howard University to discuss what was happening. Well, one woman on the panel said that the truck driver (Reginald Denny) MUST have said something because "Black people do not riot, nor beat people senseless they way they did to that truck driver so he must have said something to provoke them" - everyone one else on the panel agreed, the host of the show also agree. The truck driver must have said something racist. So, a white truck driver was nearly beaten to death by a black mob - and it was, without any evidence given, the white truck driver's fault!? NPR was never called out for this libel, and they never apologized for such blatant ignorance and anti-white racism. NPR is nothing more than a waste of tax payers money! Listen to NPR? Been there, done that. I don't care to repeat the experience.
NPR's biased reporting was a factor turning me from Independent voter who had once been Democrat, into a yellow dog Republican. Before I concluded that many Democrats were smug, sneering, condescending and self-righteous, I had already concluded that the tone of NPR reporting was smug, sneering, condescending and self-righteous. |
