Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Once Israel leaves Gaza then the best organized and funded terror group will take over. So most likely an Iranian proxy, but perhaps Israel will finance its own terror group - a plan that has never backfired before - in order to have a long power struggle confined to Gaza itself.
Of course Conor McGregor must be silenced. He has said the quiet part outloud. There is an invasion of the West by Islam and they are using our own tolerance against us. That was the purpose of hate laws all along, Right t this moment they are searching for some woman to accuse Conor McGregor of rape. They are investigating his finances to see if he ever over valuated his properties to get a loan. Checking to see if he ever accused the other party of cheating on elections. Watch as Conor McGregor's life spirals out of control ending up with him in jail, broke from lawyers costs and eventually stabbed by a fellow inmate. And while this is all happening the media will focus on his "crimes" and ignore the fact that they are all "Trump"ed up. The frosting on this cake would be a 5 AM swatting with him trotted out in handcuffs in his underware.
If self-awareness was a thing among politicians, we would have no politicians.
As for Feinstein, I suspect her story is not all that uncommon among the top officials in our government. Par for the course at the D C grifting club. Hillary would be ahead of her but Pelosi only slightly behind in the grift grab.
Once Ukraine repelled the siege of Kiev, an end to the war should have been negotiated. Instead, corrupt Western elites pushed forever war at the cost of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian lives and hundreds of billions of other people’s dollars.
I'm still fairly agnostic about what the US and Europe's policy regarding the war ought to be. That said your position has a few obvious problems. First, it would reward Russian aggression and signal weakness. The Russians would have undoubtably taken the message that they could simply take time to recover then resume the war from a superior position. Keep in mind, the Chinese would undoubtably take a lesson from the west failing to or backing away from supporting Ukraine. And they have almost certainly taken a lesson from the resolve the west has shown thus far. Further, it ignores the likelihood that Russia has no intention of stopping with the Ukraine, as per their public statements, the fact that they have already occupied large parts of Moldovia and Georgia, and their current stragetic position.
Russia was ready to end the war and withdraw its troops in exchange for Ukrainian neutrality just a few months after the invasion began and was refused partly because of ex-British PM Boris Johnson, who pressured Kyiv into continuing the fight, David Arahamiya, the leader of Ukraine’s ruling party confirmed in a recent interview, published on Friday, November 24th.
https://europeanconservative.com/articles/news/official-johnson-forced-kyiv-to-refuse-russian-peace-deal/ It sucks to be a little country with a GDP that's 10% of the attacking country, but when you have a corrupt political class, and you're feeding an international corrupt political class that's having a field day romping through your economy, I guess it's really not your call. Too bad for Ukraine. But I have a feeling their political class has been doing just fine, thank you. Once the money and arms stop flowing, all this ridiculous propping-up and posturing will stop. The passionate, patriotic dialog supporting our Ukrainian brothers will silence so fast it'll make your head spin - you may actually hear an echo. British Steel to shut down blast furnaces at Scunthorpe plant
QUOTE: The decision is set to leave the country without an industrial grade steel manufacturing capability. That is because India's Tata Steel plans to close down its two blast furnaces at the sprawling Port Talbot works in south Wales, risking up to 3,000 jobs, through its own decarbonisation and cost-cutting plan. https://news.sky.com/story/british-steel-to-shut-down-blast-furnace-at-scunthorpe-plant-leaving-2-000-jobs-at-risk-13001946 Deindustrialization in the UK is Almost Complete QUOTE: Without a blast furnace, all you can do is recycle scrap iron. You cannot fight wars at scale if all you have is scrap iron. You cannot be an industrial hub off of just scrap iron. If you are a nation of any size, you then become economically and security vulnerable at an existential level. I don’t care how much science fiction you get nakid and roll in; wars are won by steel, ungodly amounts of steel. Where do you get the steel to build your warships? Your tanks? Your factories? Your buildings? Your factories? If you can only use scrap, then you are simply a scavenger living off the hard work of previous generations. Eventually you run out. https://cdrsalamander.substack.com/p/deindustrialization-in-the-uk-is But, but, but... decarbonization has costs? Say it ain't so.
Paul Cole, the ‘Mystery Man’ on the Cover of The Beatles’ Famous “Abbey Road” Album

QUOTE: A newborn island that recently emerged from the Pacific Ocean after an underwater volcanic eruption is now visible from space, images from the European Space Agency (ESA) reveal. The satellite images show the new landmass sitting around 0.6 mile (1 kilometer) off the coast off Japan's Iwo Jima island. https://www.livescience.com/planet-earth/volcanos/new-island-that-emerged-from-the-ocean-off-japan-is-now-visible-from-space Ireland officials quickly moved to excuse the murderer and accuse those who were angry about the murder as hate criminals. Since Conor McGregor was quite vocal he had to be accused as well. But they may have stepped on their dicks. If they had been more sympathetic to the citizens and more angry at the criminal this all could have passed quietly. But they wanted their "new world order" plans to be respected and they threw it in everyone's face. Essentially saying this is how it's gonna be from now on sit down and shut up or go to jail. This has made Conor McGregor a hero!! Right now Conor McGregor could declare political war on the entire Irish government and win. Make no mistake this is entirely up to Conor McGregor now. If he decides to back up what he said and go balls to the wall we could see an entirely new conservative Irish government. Watch Conor McGregor and see what he does and watch the Irish leaders as they try to "Trump" him.
They will try to treat him like the UK's Tommy. The upside is that Europe is slowly but surely replacing the moral degenerates currently running the place.
Stop following this common piece of career and life advice, says behavior expert: It’s not ‘the solution to everything’
Ah, the old Fake-It-'Til-You-Make-It Ploy. In a world of dunces, this actually works pretty well (nobody needs to know you stayed up all night swotting out that presentation). The only downside is Imposter Syndrome--some competent manager (ha! find one) could unmask you at any moment, and you know it. I had a few close calls, but pretty much pulled it off right up to retirement. "How Islamism destroyed the Palestinian movement - Hamas has killed off any prospect of self-determination."
In throwing in their lot with Hamas, the Palestinians have once again done what they have so persistently done since 1948: proving themselves extremely adept at seizing the wrong opportunity at the wrong moment. "Biden to invoke cold war era law"
Hmmm! so you read some more and down in the tird paragraph is this nugget: "The areas of investment also include "medical countermeasures," which include supplies that diagnose, prevent, or treat diseases related to chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear attacks." So we are supposed to think Biden just woke up from a nap and decided wouldn't it be nice to invoke that old cold war era law??? I doubt it. Someone, CIA, DOJ, told him that there is a real risk of a CBRN attack either as a result of the two ongoing wars or maybe even in our homeland since we are letting terrorists cross our borders by the tens of thousands. WTF is our government doing? Who is in charge and what is their end game? What do they know that they aren't telling us? What was the end game of the French aristocrats? They wanted power, they didn't care about the peasants.
We are seeing the political 'elite' working hard to recreate that situation. Aristos at the top, with everything they want. Peasants at the bottom, grateful for what the Aristos let them have. (Or they damned well better be, the ungrateful sots.) Remember how the 'elite' wannabes were griping so hard about Walmart, because it was taking away from the 'picturesque' small town shops? (Which couldn't ever have the same inventory even a small Walmart could have.) The peasants could have all the Good Stuff! The foods, the goods that should rightfully be limited to the elite. The peasants need to be put back into their place. The stabber was an Algerian immigrant with mental health issues of an unspecified type who eventually became a citizen.
I am entirely in favor of self-awareness. Even mere politeness often depends on it, unless it is some aspect learned by rote. But she is right that it is not necessary to "success" in many senses of that word. I know a few who have had brilliant careers - money, status, publications - who have little self-awareness. The "Radical Left" is what the Right has always said it was...it's just removed the mask because they think they've won. And Official Conservatism doesn't want to address core issues because they are just more grifters who only want to use it to raise money.
