We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Pheasants in Montana


Pheasants are an invasive species from China, but they are not very invasive like Burmese Pythons and Iguanas in Florida. In fact, they do not really thrive anywhere in the USA, but they make for good sport and good dog-training where they are found. Friend sent me this pic from a Pheasant hunt in northern Montana a couple of weeks ago (it would have been full of bison and grouse in past years):

This is where the Democrats are trying to build "affordable housing". They have plans for as many as 1400 units in some developments across the state. The university's ag department has some "indoctrination" gals out in the rural area "helping the locals to feel good about their hometowns and welcome newcomers". It's just more rhetoric "see how lucky you are to have such a lovely little town, you are attracting such wonderful new residents to help with taxes, schools, etc."

Montana is in the process of being blue stated. The population is so small it will only take a few thousands of welfare dependent Democrat voting people to guarantee two Democrat Senators and two Democrat reps forever.

Yes, you are absolutely right!
The Republican party has come apart in several of the more populated counties. One segment of that divide is eager to "compromise with the dems" (very liberal universities).
