Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Take the average spent per pupil and triple it for the immigrant children. Taking in an entire underclass of low-skilled, no education, no English immigrants is not a winner for America.

Was listening to a reporter from the Darien Gap where there's a glut of illegals making their way through en route to America. He was talking about the vaccine resistant strain of tuberculosis (also zoonotic and has been affecting cattle) mixed in with the populace of illegals Biden and Harris have thrown the front door open for. Awesome. Let's import diseases America rid themselves of 80 years ago.

And I'm really surprised corporations looked at what they were spending on the DEI-industry and quietly started backing out. DEI offers absolutely nothing to anything short of feel-goods.

The Minneapolis police dept has been destroyed by the city and state politicians. The time is close approaching when the crime rate will overwhelm both the city and police. It is no help that the Star Tribune along with its two main radio stations, WCCO and KSTP, do not lead in confronting the political system but instead help hide the decline in the Twin Cities. There will be a reconning, but will it go the route of Detroit by that time.

Everyone of those 7-8 million illegals that crossed the border since Biden stole the election will stay here. We will spend billions perhaps in excess of a trillion to subsidize them. They will make your schools even more inferior than they are now. They will double or triple your crime and homicide rates. They will take your jobs and your children's jobs. They will be a prime factor in the continued and accelerating decline of the U.S. And there is NOTHING you can do to stop it. By the time Biden leaves office the number will exceed 10 million freeloaders/criminals. It is likely that even the next president will do little to stop this new reality. Eventually it will all collapse into a free for all. Police and the justice system will be less and less effective and will likely actually turn against you and favor the replacement voters/workers over your rights. Bif sanctuary cities will continue to claim to be sanctuary cities but will shove off these immigrants into rural areas and small towns. Your taxes will skyrocket to support these replacement citizens and inflation will steal the rest of your income. You and your children will live in poverty while watching a new class of "Americans" getting everything for free. If you object you will be ostracized and called names. Your only choice will be to watch as your once great country is invaded and turned against you.

Darwin is a perfect example of a little knowledge being a dangerous thing. From his observations that species adapt through natural selection, he made the leap, without any evidence, that a species can change from one kind to another. We still suffer today from his error.

The nested hierarchy supports branching descent from common ancestors, and more particularly, branching descent leads to specific empirical predictions that have been repeatedly verified.

Such a shame people don't understand science anymore. If multiple hypotheses can explain a phenomena, some people will just pick one they like and find a fact that might explain it. Correlation is causation as far as they are concerned; no proof necessary. The science is settled on evolution, climate change, etc.

It’s certainly possible for more than one hypothesis to be consistent with the evidence. When that happens, one should look for observations that distinguish between the hypotheses. For instance, relativity is largely consistent with Newtonian mechanics, but makes distinguishing predictions when objects are in strong gravitational fields. Observations have repeatedly confirmed relativity.

In the case of common descent, you didn’t provide an alternative hypothesis to explain the observed nested hierarchy or the geological succession. Nor have any such hypotheses survived scientific scrutiny.

A recent example is the discovery of a "fishapod" in geological strata associated with the transition of vertebrates from sea to land, Tiktaalik. Compare a scientist who mounts an expedition to the Arctic to search in the rocks for a fossil creature exhibiting features intermediate between fish and land vertebrates who then finds such a fossil, to someone who says "Is not!" or "Not so!" Who makes the more credible claim?

You could try to respond to case provided. Was the scientist, Neil Shubin, just lucky? It would have been luckier if he could have stumbled on Tiktaalik in Chicago, rather than having to mount an expedition to an Arctic wasteland. But the strata which formed when the transition occurred are relatively rare.

Another example is the prediction and discovery of intermediates between land vertebrates and whales—whales with legs. It sure would have been great to have found these fossils in Michigan, but those darn strata again.

Too many immigrants, illegal and otherwise, settle in enclaves where they never have to learn English or assimilate in any way. They then become resentful second-class citizens who blame the larger society for their own lack of success. Bring back the World’s Fair

A look back, particularly at the New York World's Fair.

The author looks at the event through rose colored glasses and longs for another world's fair created in that same vein. However, if there was another world's fair, I fear it would be a celebration of "DIE", "climate change" and other wokeness that would make attending insufferable.
