We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
There are NO institutions in this country that are not corrupted. The leadership in every institution is corrupt or insane and possibly both. We have had it too good for too long and along the way we have abandoned GOD.
If your newborn is withstanding bedtime, you can play lullabies to put them to sleep. Children like to have fun with the things around them, and lullabies help them go to sleep quicker. The very best part is that these tunes are totally free! Lullaby for Children To Go To Sleep will be over in less than 2 minutes. Attempt our soothing music to help your baby go asleep. The soft music lets you and your kid relax and go to sleep. https://youtu.be/-XknjNPa6Wk
That was an excellent lecture. The questions from the audience were very good.
He mentioned that our institutions are overall good, but that bad people have taken them over. So much truth to that. The FBI and CIA, are just two examples of institutions that have been terrible for so long, that there is no reform for them. They need to go. The FBI and CIA seem to be a magnet for bad characters. What useful purposes do they serve anyway? The list of failures of just the FBI, is very long. The list is compelling evidence for their dismantling. I would venture to say that the evidence in favor of their dismantling is beyond reasonable doubt.
The rest of country’s institutions may not need much reform, however the people that now occupy them are very dangerous to the concept that is America. I agree with Glen Reynolds, in that the number of congressional representatives needs to increase. A larger number of congressional representatives would go a long way in decreasing the amount of corruption that a handful of people can create. It would also go along way in reducing the bureaucracy. The question of how we get better people into the Halls of government might be mitigated. One thing seems clear, we need to limit the number of terms that our existing representatives can serve.
