Well, no. Scientists are those people who study the natural world, and then publish their findings before their peers: including those who launch satellites to observe the Earth; or mount expeditions to the polar regions to collect ice core data; or deploy advanced robotic buoys to measure the chemical and thermal properties of the oceans; or float radiosondes to collect atmospheric data; all of which to be published before their scientific peers.

The first thing that the faux climate scientists did was alter the historical data so that the current temperatures looked worse than they are. IF that is science then I have a bridge to sell you. It would appear that not only do our children and young adults not learn reading writing and arithmetic in schools they also don't learn how a grift works. The evidence of the grift is there for all to see. The evidence of man caused climate change is missing and must be fabricated. Simple as that.

Independent reanalysis of the raw surface temperature data has confirmed the warming trend. See et al. Rohde et al., A New Estimate of the Average Earth Surface Land Temperature, Geoinformatics & Geostatistics 2013. Observations by satellites also independently confirm the warming trend. See here.

Absolutely there is a warming trend. That is what happens after a mini ice age ends. It was predicted and is happening but so far a little slower than estimated. If all goes well we should reach "normal" temperatures soon. And that's a good thing. Global cooling, which is cyclical too and will happen sooner or later, and is very unfriendly to human life and much worse than the cyclical global warming that allows us to grow more food and live a better life. So I'll take and enjoy the cyclical warming trend.

We reach our positions from the consideration of facts. The evidence strongly supports anthropogenic global warming.

The issue is how best to respond to the problem. Draconian measures that overly inhibit economic growth will be ineffective and doomed to failure. Economic development is essential to affording the transition and for the technological innovation that will be required. On the other hand, the industrial infrastructure gets replaced every generation or so. Upgrading as this occurs has many benefits. Humans built the current infrastructure. There is every reason to believe they can rebuild it.

From the sun. 100% of the heat comes from the sun. Sometimes earth is further from the sun and receives less heat, sometimes it is closer and receives more. Sometimes the sun emits more heat/energy, sometimes less. These and other factors are all know cyclical events that allow heating and cooling of earth. Man and his works are less than a pimple on the universe in their effect on our climate. it is 100% the Milankovitch cycles that control our climate and temperatures.

The intent is to say that Ukraine by defending itself has angered the Russians so badly that now they will invade other countries. Well, duh! Wasn't that the original concern that the Russians invading Ukraine was just the first step in them invading other countries that they used to have control over? But those opposed to Ukraine defending themselves denied that belief that Russia was the aggressor. All they wanted was to free the majority Russian areas or Ukraine from those mean Ukrainians. So what now? Let them take Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia? Then after that perhaps Poland and Finland.

Russia looks at the Ukraine the same way it looked at East Germany, as more trouble than it is worth. Far better to trade with them than to occupy them. Drone warfare seems to be on the rise so I rather expect that is any of the Baltic states become launching grounds for drones that it will not be long before their cities resemble Mariupol. The Russians want to protect the Russian speaking Kraines and it would behoove all involved to respect that motive. The Ukraine leadership did not just as the CIA and State dept and NATO did not... that has had consequences that were totally avoidable. Stay off their borders or accept that they can re-establish Cuba or even make overtures to Puerto Rico.or Mexico. Stupidity runs deep in D.C.

The Russians are occupying the parts of Ukraine where the Russian speaking natives live. The Ukraines will not get those parts back. Ukraine will survive only if it becomes neutral.
They could use you in one of their front line brigades whether you are a nazi or not. They don't seem to be fussy about volunteers. And I'm sure Nuland and company would have no objections.

I am offended by the burning of American flags and the disrespect of the flag and the anthem at sporting events. I have mixed feeling about the Supreme Court decision awhile back that determined burning the flag as a protest was free speech. It bothers me even more that since then we have made the burning of the pride flag a hate crime punishable by jail time, whey isn't that free speech too. But now with the burning of the Quran typically causing riots where people are killed I am more concerned that free speech is not clearly a right but is now being used to punish some but excuse others. What is the right thing to do? Should hate laws apply to burning the American flag? If not why not? Should hate laws even be a thing? After all if you commit and actual crime you can be tried for the crime why would you need hate laws that seem to ONLY be applied to suit a political agenda?

Sad fact about STEM majors at my former university: biology majors outnumber majors in all the other sciences because there are very few mathematics prerequisites. And their aptitude exam scores confirm it.

Thank goodness nursing and med schools weed most of these doofusses out. Otherwise getting a medical injection would be a (bigger) hazard to your health.

In the past couple of years employment for American born workers has declined to a record low while at the same time employment for immigrants, legal and illegal, has increased dramatically. This is largely due to Democrat polices most notably Biden's open borders. What is happening is the neo-slavery era of the Democrats. Technically they are free but in fact they are economic slaves brought here to displace Americans and provide cheap labor to the new plantations. Short term this means a lot of profit and a lot of new billionaires. Long term it means a lot of Americans out of work and poor. How will this play out this time?
