Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

re VDH: Who Will Say No More to the Current Madness? We need an American Leo Amery to stand up
VDH says QUOTE: Most know what must be done, but few will tell the truth: Balance the budget. Return to legal only immigration. Restore a well-funded, but unwoke Pentagon. Insist on racial unity. Curb the overweening administrative state. Enforce the rule of law. Produce more gas and oil. Reestablish civic education. Insist universities protect free speech and due process—and stop proselytizing. In other words, restore what until recently made America the strongest, most prosperous, and freest nation in the world. Of course he is right, but the question is; is it too late? re Confidence Crisis Emerges As Biden's EPA Pushes "Unproven Technologies" To Decarbonize Grid, Power Sector Warns
QUOTE: Why would Biden's EPA introduce power sector requirements that EEI labels as "unproven technologies"? It raises genuine concerns about the Biden administration's intentions regarding the stability of the power grid. But don't worry because if you dare question this, you are labeled a 'climate denier.' Yep. In Marxworld the science is always settled.

I believed him then, and now more and more evidence shows he was telling the truth. If they did all the fake ballots in Michigan, why would they not have done this in every state? Eighty-one million votes for Joe Biden? Come on man!
The implications of this large scale fraud, is just too much for most people to believe. They don’t want to believe. If they believe it, they’ll have to start thinking about what should be done about it. They might start weighing the costs of such actions. They see what the current government is capable of doing to people, and that ends their thoughts. It’s easier just to go along. How bad could it get? History shows, but very few know anything about history. They have this naive belief that humans have changed; man is perfectible. The old ways are the wrong ways. The elite says so. It’s those silly conservatives, the bitter clingers that hold fast to their bibles and guns. The deplorables. The irredeemables. The pandemic showed that an awful lot of people would not be bothered rounding up the troublemakers, those that question the narrative, throwing them in jail, or worse. They seem to be giddy, itching to eliminate those that don’t worship the ‘science’. They are so ignorant of history that they can’t see that they are the bad guys. David Brooks opened his eyes for a few moments, he was shouted down with over 7,000 comments. He won’t make that mistake again. B. The think big article on anomie is pushing it from a collectivist angle. What the article calls "social norms" is really nothing more that politeness.
A sane society is a polite society. Went to the glorious peoples republic if MI multiple times in 2020 when gas $2 and there was only one Brandon/Cackler sign outside a Marxist EDU indoctrination center or state school.

He seems capable of wielding a firearm. He made threats of violence against government officials. Obviously, that is going to bring law enforcement to his door, which he reportedly resisted violently. Of course, it should and will be investigated to verify initial reports and to determine whether the actions of law enforcement were justified. Your original comment suggested he couldn’t be a threat because of his age, but that simply isn’t a valid claim.

QUOTE: "Significantly Worse Outcomes" - Scottish COVID Inquiry Savages Lockdowns And Vaccines From the report: "Any opinion expressed in this report reflects the personal view of the author at the time of writing and does not constitute official UK or Scottish government policy." In other words, it is not yet the official determination. The master of deflection. There were 51 intelligence experts, all government employee experts, some still in government. Was there an official government response to the Post article on the laptop or on the expert opinion of the 51. We sure could use an official response. Its been weeks, months, years.

We've tried to humor you. We really have. To have a productive discussion doesn't mean we have to agree with each other, but it does mean we have to listen to one another. We try very hard to listen to you, and we respond to your claims, even about your belief in geocentrism. But that's not the problem we had and have had every time we have a discussion. It's that you don't listen. We could say that the sky is blue in response to an original post about the color of the sky, and you would respond, "But Hunter Biden's laptop!" Sure, some meandering in a discussion is normal and expected. But the topic raised in the original post, to which we commented, was the Scottish COVID Inquiry. To which you responded, "But Hunter Biden's laptop!" Let us know if you ever want to have an actual discussion, one where we listen to one another.

Disney Keeps Hanging on to DEI... But Why? An Exclusive Leak on What Stops the Course Correct!
20 minute video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jJkArf9i-M QUOTE: The Fake Climate Consensus There are always outliers. For instance, some evolutionary biologists still won't accept the origin of birds within the dinosaur clade. That doesn't mean the outliers are incorrect, just that it is not unexpected that there will be a few, even with a strong consensus. That, in and of itself, isn't evidence against the consensus. Heh, wouldn't doubt that some scientists actually still support geocentrism. As for funding skewing results, contrarians often get inordinate attention, as here, even when they haven't published the data necessary to undermine the consensus. There is more than ample funding for the collection of observational data, which can support or contradict the consensus. Contrarians, when they keep within the bounds of the evidence, can have an important role. In physics, Einstein's doubts about quantum weirdness led to the EPR paradox, and that led to tests of Bell's Inequality, proving quantum weirdness is a facet of the universe. "Wrong again, Albert." — Stephen Hawking, Star Trek: The Next Generation Unfortunately for climate contrarians, the data is against their views, or contradicts their alternative hypotheses to explain the observations. More generally, it's unlikely someone will get funding for geocentrism research. Geocentrists, of course, will say this is unfair. And what would the heliocentrists say? What it really gets down to is what does the public think of funding either theory. I would support a thumbs down, it is scientists arguing a position. It is the engineering that counts as it is useful to all. Now look at the SCIENCE article posted above at 2.1.
It rather shows the unintended consequences of policy by the unelected 'expert' class that is always sure, somewhat sure, or partially sure of their political expertise. And again a UN organization that is as aware as the IPCC, another political organization of 'experts'. indyjonesouthere: And what would the heliocentrists say?
Well, there's precious few of those around any longer. The Sun is just of one of billions of stars in the Milky Way, and the Milky Way is just one of billions of galaxies in the observable universe. You evaded the unintended consequences of the UN expert class mandating law. And look at the results.
Z: "Any opinion expressed in this report reflects the personal view of the author at the time of writing and does not constitute official UK or Scottish government policy." In other words, it is not yet the official determination.
Not yet official UK or Scottish policy!! UK or Scottish (or US, Canadian, German, French, Italian, or Australian for that matter) are such a gold standards for pandemic policy! From squelching free speech even if it was quoted from the CDC or FDA but considered to promote vaccine hesitancy, telling us that the vaccines stopped transmission, promoting remdesivir was an effective treatment while saying that hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin were dangerous and not promoting vitamin D or Zinc, putting people in concentration camps or denying their ability to earn a living if they didn't get vaccinated (and that's just a short list), Western countries' policies sure have been great! mudbug: Not yet official UK or Scottish policy!! UK or Scottish (or US, Canadian, German, French, Italian, or Australian for that matter) are such a gold standards for pandemic policy!
The headline improperly implied that the report was the conclusion of the Scottish COVID Inquiry. However, the inquiry is ongoing. Not sure what the CDC and FDA have to do with Scotland. Antifa Destroys Reporter’s Car, as Alleged Jury Intimidation Clears Antifa Thugs in Andy Ngo Assault Trial
QUOTE: Over the course of trial, Ngo presented an overwhelming amount of physical evidence and testimony to support his case, which accused the alleged Antifa members of assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The case included evidence of Antifa “doxxes” identifying Ngo, which led to a well-documented series of physical beatings on May 28, 2021. The jury on Tuesday shocked legal pundits and analysts when it found the defendants not liable in the civil case brought against them. After the defendants’ attorney “admitted that the ‘black clad people’ that had physically beaten Ngo were, in fact, ‘terrorists,'” she proudly declared, “I am Antifa” and told the jurors that she would remember each of their faces, Post Millennial reported. . . . “It’s truly remarkable the amount of evidence that the jury must have discounted,” attorney Eric Sell told Fox News. “It really leads to the conclusion that jury intimidation was a factor here.” The intimidation reportedly extended beyond the courtroom. Katie Daviscourt, the reporter who was covering the Ngo, returned to her car after attending the court session to find it vandalized by the far-left thugs. https://headlineusa.com/antifa-destroys-reporters-car-as-alleged-jury-intimidation-clears-antifa-thugs-in-andy-ngo-assault-trial/ QUOTE: Over the course of trial, Ngo presented an overwhelming amount of physical evidence and testimony to support his case There was no evidence the defendants assaulted Ngo. Not sure why he thought they were liable. Yeah Andy lied about those bruises and there was no intimidation by antifa agitators. NONE! And Daviscourt lied about her car being vandalized. Thanks for clearing that up, Quibble-DickZ.
Today, we’ve abandoned the “wandering womb” theory, but doctors still perceive women as hysterical.
You can't always trust doctors, especially young ones, though they're the ones who are supposed to have the up-to-date knowledge. I visited three different doctors trying to diagnose the abdominal pain and nausea I'd been experiencing. All three suggested it might be all in my head. It took my mother's 60-year-old doctor who suggested gall bladder disease over the phone (I was 22, and the other doctors must have thought I was too young to have that condition). He was right, and I had to have surgery to remove my gall bladder because it had become so packed with gall stones it had ceased to function. If not for him, I probably would have died eventually of sepsis. re Walking and heart disease: Agreed with your assessment-- without these correlation studies it seems the media would have so little to write about that they'd have to start making things up... Oh wait...
Same goes for that stupid "sugary drinks increase risk of liver cancer" report from earlier this week. |
