Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Brandon's handlers will have to scramble to please their useful idiots, this is good for the rest of us.
Justine Castro's smoke is a construct of the white male patriarchy (honk!), almost had to bust out a face panty obedience muzzle the other day. Visited a Pineland buddy and he had to delay fire pit work until it cleared up. Fwance shows what is coming to all other nations regarding the public transportation. Fabulous sporty rainbow Klaus and the FEW order it and they own almost all governments, Vlad the Putinator says NYET even if he is a member. Maybe the KGB colonel for life wanted to know what enemies are planning by sitting in. Homelessness and other problems are not for solving as the CPUSA/Grand Old Politburo Uniparty would be out of business. Shovel more money is the when it is other people's money. I tried to look at that quartrans article. The use of plural pronouns for an individual is an offense against God, Nature, and the English language. Trying to read that crap is like getting a mouthful of fish halfway swallowed before finding a bone at the back of your throat.
JWM " We told him not to come to the wedding, but we still wanted his money" The conservative uncle should totally distance himself from his sister and her family and make sure all are not included in his will. We recently did a will revision and eliminated a few people from our list and we don't have the money the uncle seems to have. The mother and daughters behavior was inexcusable.
I saw that Miss Amy story the other day and was reminded of it when I saw this piece on Meghan and harry and came to this part:
QUOTE: There was the couple’s first royal tour in Africa, where, instead of focusing on the actual people they were there to meet and help, they made the trip all about themselves. A tearful Meghan claimed: "Not many people have asked if I’m okay.” This she said just feet from people whose average salary is $17,000 a year—the cost of her average outfit. Narcissism and entitlement are two very ugly qualities to posses. https://www.thefp.com/p/the-fall-of-meghan-and-harry-inc Quarantrans’: How the pandemic hatched a new generation of transgender people
The Tide Is Turning On Transgender Tolerance Dual links. The activists are out trying to excite the base over the SCOTUS ruling that the president does not have constitutional power to forgive $400 billion in loans. Protestors were shouting for more free stuff. An equally large protest is ongoing over the SCOTUS ruling to end racial discrimination in college admission and a protest movement is formed to demand more racial discrimination. Boston U law students need counseling to deal with constitutional realities.
The left is hard at work to become the party of dead babies more racism and more free stuff. The scary part is how many on the left actually embrace all of this. Some of my rude acquaintances call these protesters The Free Sh*t Army.
I think that the student loan debts should be treated exactly like the child support debts. Take away their drivers license, fishing and hunting licenses, attach their wages and take their tax refunds. Equality!!
We are fortunate in that we live in a city which has a decent - though not "first class" university as well as a polytech. So our offsprings, from a very early age, were told four things: you will graduate from high school; you will go on to postsecondary education to give you a marketable degree/diploma; you will be paying for some of this yourselves, so figure out how; we will provide room and board at the institute of our choice, and it will be here.
Need I say that all offsprings have graduated - some with great distinction - and are doing very well in their careers. One did have to leave town - program not offered here - and had to take out student loans - but thoroughly those years away (eastern Europe) and ended up by topping the class. Those student loans? As soon as offsping got a job back home, payment of said loans became a priority. There was never in offspring's mind that one could disown this debt for whatever reason; the loans had enabled the kid to pursue the much-wanted degree and now honour demanded the debt be repaid. Homelessness up 10% in LA despite because of a flood of money for programs.
You get more of what you subsidize. And the 'non-profit' groups involved with the homelessness racket - boy, do they profit off of it! Excactly right Jerryskids.
You subsidize something, you get more of it. Plus. A sizeable percentage of that money goes as salaries to democrats that administer the programs. Now you have the homeless industrial complex where those salaried dems can now "advocate" for the homeless. And you can bet they don't want the problem solved. At the end of the day the dem pols step back and pick their noses as they look at the homeless problem and wonder why nothing changes? Exactly. My work location sees no few homeless regulars. Those who are not hard addicts and/or mentally ill like their lives as they are. They know what they are doing and prefer it to the alternative. Subsidizing them brings more onto the street. The other homeless types never should have been de-institutionalized.
The Worse It Gets in France, the Less American Corporate Media Is Covering It and We Know Why
QUOTE: What happened? It’s obvious. Open borders and forced multiculturalism have been exposed for their inevitable outcomes and American corporate media doesn’t want us to see what’s in our future. https://thelibertydaily.com/the-worse-it-gets-in-france-the-less-american-corporate-media-is-covering-it-and-we-know-why/ Makes me ashamed of Boston University. I did my LLM there. Can't say I'm any fonder of where I got my JD. Law schools have lost their way in a race to virtue signal.
These kids better learn to toughen up and realize that the law is not something to be bent to their personal preferences. France deploys armoured military vehicles ... too late, they should have sunk the boats.
And if I might ask, which of these finely-tuned, perfumed chariots is your cruiser?
In breaking news the rioters in France have graduated from just burning their part of town to shooting police, politicians and citizens. The police have said that some of the guns in the hands of the rioters are military grade weapons that were originally sent to Ukraine. This riot may have begun spontaneously but it now appears to be directed from a higher level.
The best opening paragraph in American Literature IMHO is there in Charles Portis' 'Dog of the South'
