If the piece was re-titled, D-Day the Day That Saved Western Europe, I would agree.

The invasion didn't matter to most of the world. It had no effect on the people of China, India, South America, Africa, or even Japan.

The Germans were beaten and the Nazis were not going to rule the world.Germany was no longer capable of turning the tide and during the summer of 1944 much of the German army was annihilated in Russia. If we hadn't invaded the USSR would likely have won and occupied all of Germany and perhaps made satellites of the Low Countries and France, but that would have been Europe's problem, not the world's.

The D-Day landing was a remarkable achievement and did undoubtedly shorten the war.

Don't display your ignorance so openly. The Red Army was fed, clothed and mechanized by the West. Had the million odd troops stationed in the West been available to the Germans, the Russians would have been fighting somewhere east of the Urals.

I propose that the under 30 crowd is very dysfunctional. Maybe they shouldn’t be allowed to vote, until they can explain why we should go back to the stone ages of governance. Types of governance the founders studied and rejected. I guess they have grown up putting their lives on Facebook, so why shouldn’t the rest of us live under the microscope?

Why would they want cameras in every home. Oh wait, almost every electronic device connected to the internet already has a camera. Am I being paranoid by putting tape over the camera on my devices?

The Ukrainian war gets weirder every month. Except for agreeing that Putin had no right to invade, I really don’t know who the good guys are. It appears that there is a lot of corruption in Ukraine, which draws US politicians like vultures to a dead carcass. Joe Biden was caught on camera admitting his part in the corruption, but there must be a huge number of US politicians and deep staters making bucks there. If it was only Joe, they would have prosecuted him by now. Definitely more going on there than we know.

Is it some sort of weird psychological impulse that is driving corporate America? They are all so debauched, that they want to push the rest of us off the cliff? Why do I keep thinking about 2 Timothy 3? I saw it quoted on PJ Media a few days ago, after someone on this board mentioned it. Coincidence? Some say that there are no coincidences. Well, we are not the first generation to believe we are living in the End Times.

At the onset of the war, one of the objectives Putin stated as rationale was to drive the Nazis out of Ukraine. It was a callback to the partially true, partially manufactured story that the Soviets virtually single-handedly defeated the German army and drove them out of the territory, reuniting the Russian homeland.

Much of the imagery seems to be an ironic callback to this, since they are the ones fighting to repel and remove the Russians from the territory.

I will allow there is still antisemitic ideology within Ukraine, but this applies more or less equally on both sides of the conflict.

"Follow your passion"

The world is full of good advice and bad advice. Most people don't follow either except by accident.

Between the age of 18-35 my advice is to fall in love and marry and have children. Yes that's not work advice or the best choice for the rest of your life but totally appropriate for that age.

But also become more aware of the world and opportunities and your future. Regardless of age and my previous advice I would advise everyone to wake up every day and write down three goals for the day. Let me back up a little. I would also advise people to set life goals, five year goals, and one year goals and update these regularly. Now when you get up in the morning your three goals should reflect these major goals. Spend everyday furthering your goals. I did not say don't do anything else in life and don't enjoy life but in addition to living your best life work on your life goals. These things are mutually compatible.

Re-evaluate your goals and progress. Expect things to change, your goals will change, your reasons will change, the world will change, be open to change. Expect failures, embrace failure as a challenge, but learn from failure and grow smarter.

Live your life like you are going to die someday. Live your best life, enjoy life, be nice to everyone but be ready for those occasions where others are not nice to you.

Read the article and with all due respect, the tag should read "Gender madness in IDAHO public school administrators". The people of Idaho described in the article seem to have acted perfectly rationally.

It's a good example of some really poor reporting, and lazy journalism, designed simply to inflame without informing. There are a few additional facts to help paint the picture:

1. The student at the bottom of this, Travis Lohr, was looking forward to an intern forest fire-fighting position this summer. That invitation has been rescinded at the last minute by the US Forest Service official in that district, the Incident Management Team Lead, John Heyn, who - guess what? - is married to a teacher at Kellogg High School.

2. The Sheriff weighted in after the initial protests over the cancellation of graduation ceremonies, stating that she could not 'guarantee the safety' of the attendees and that unnamed unspecified groups were coming in from 'out of county' and there were 'threats of violence'. The Sheriff, Holly Lindsey, is the first female Sheriff in that county. The first female lesbian Sheriff, who - guess what? - is married to a teacher at Kellogg High School.

With the the cancellation of Lohr (banned from attending graduation), the subsequent protest, firing of a bus driver, and cancellation of graduation altogether - the parents' upset is understandable in my view. Especially when considering, in today's world, the routine tendency toward cancellation and the utilization of state power to advance 'Woke' agendas. I no longer indulge in the idea of coincidences when these things start to go haywire, as this 5-minute look into the story has reinforced. Yet again.

Publicize the crap out of this no interference shoplifting policy. Let criminals know it's open season on businesses. They can take whatever they want, no repercussions or questions asked. Maybe interview a few shoplifters who'll testify to the no threat, easy pickings environment.

When things get so bad that stores shut down or prices go way up, maybe enough outrage will be generated to make woke policy idiots wish they never heard of woke.
