Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Glen Filthie posted a picture of a botched sex change surgery recently. Very unpleasant.
Re: pregnant man. I watched What is a Women? over the weekend, on Twitter. Very good. Amazing the number of people that refuse to answer such a straightforward question. Except the dinosaur - if you’ve seen the documentary, you’ll get the reference - in the gift store. The tribesmen in Africa had the answer, and they think we are insane. Yes, yes we are.
Believe Matt Walsh asked his wife the question and she kinda gave him the "look" and replied, "An adult female".
Cracked me up. An interesting paper was published about a year ago that examined environmental CO2, the supposed boogey man of modern Climate-Terror theory.
The paper used methodology utilizing analysis that is able to discriminate between natural CO2 release (biological) and fossil-fuel derived release into the atmosphere. From this, the paper determined that, since 1750 AD - the start of the Industrial Revolution- the amount of CO2 that has been released into the atmosphere from fossil fuels is around 12% of the total amount. Even if all of this were assumed to have been released by man (i.e. anthropogenic), the amount is not sufficient to correspond to the presumed cause of climate change. https://journals.lww.com/health-physics/Fulltext/2022/02000/World_Atmospheric_CO2,_Its_14C_Specific_Activity,.2.aspx "An article on Glacial-Interglacial Cycles (NOAA) suggests that recent increases in CO2 and temperatures are due primarily to cyclic changes of solar radiation associated with Earth’s orbit about the sun. The annual change, DCNF(t), in the non-fossil component has positive increasing values in Table 2 (https://links.lww.com/HP/A210) after 1764. It will eventually become negative in the next glacial period when average temperatures decrease again as they have done over all of the previous glacial-interglacial cycles. The assumption that the increase in CO2 since 1800 is dominated by or equal to the increase in the anthropogenic component is not settled science. Unsupported conclusions of the dominance of the anthropogenic fossil component of CO2 and concerns of its effect on climate change and global warming have severe potential societal implications that press the need for very costly remedial actions that may be misdirected, presently unnecessary, and ineffective in curbing global warming." Aggie: The paper used methodology utilizing analysis that is able to discriminate between natural CO2 release (biological) and fossil-fuel derived release into the atmosphere.
The methodology is flawed. While it is true that anthropogenic CO2 can be distinguished from natural CO2, the problem occurs when they fail to account for the mechanisms involved. First of all, not all the net CO2 stays in the atmosphere, only about half, the rest being absorbed by natural sinks. In addition, atmospheric CO2 molecules are in constant exchange with the the biosphere and hydrosphere. Consequently, we expect the measured anthropogenic CO2 in the atmosphere to be less than the overall net increase in atmospheric CO2 due to human emissions. Listen up everybody!
We should all implicitly believe this guy who uses a fake name to provide valuable critiques of others, instead of the three scientists who have published this scientific paper (and others), because this guy definitely knows a lot more about just about anything, almost everything in fact, so much that he doesn't even need to put out citations or make coherent arguments backed up by evidence! That is all. re I think you’ll enjoy this.

The whole purpose of AGW is to provide another avenue for grifting by the elite and for another grasp onto the authoritarian brass ring.

No. You should listen to the argument. Feel free to point out the errors. The paper also fails to properly cite the current state of the science. Aggie: he doesn't even need to put out citations See this article from the NOAA's Global Monitoring Laboratory. Attention, Everyone, Attention !

QUOTE: While it is true that anthropogenic CO2 can be distinguished from natural CO2 You sure about that? You better do some more skimming. This is an example of the half-truths, or in this case, one-third truth, that you so often emit. And here we have another monitoring group.
Ice core samples reveal that UN IPCC climate models picked the 8,000 year low of global temperatures on which to base their absurd "anthropogenic global warming" (AGW) cult May 20,2023 from Peter Halligan https://peterhalligan.substack.com/p/ice-core-samples-reveal-that-un-ipcc B. Hammer: You sure about that?
Atmospheric CO2 has a higher C14 content due to exposure to cosmic rays than CO2 from the burning of fossil fuels. The C14 content of the atmosphere has been decreasing consistent with anthropogenic emissions of CO2 from fossil fuels. Furthermore, humans have emitted about twice the observed increase in atmospheric CO2 during the industrial age. And the process is ongoing, so it is not as if we don't have direct observations. The Department of Homeland Security is using high tech security cameras and intelligence information to see where Texas National Guard and Texas police are protecting the border and giving that information to Mexico so they can tell border crossers where they can safely cross into America and avoid being captured. The UN and US taxpayers are funding the bus rides from Panama. Plenty of information at WRSA articles.
Is the US losing control of the Ukraine? We should have never had control of the Ukraine. That was a State dept, CIA, and Victoria Nuland operation.
And we're back in Kosovo, a creation of the US empire builders, trying to keep peace with more troops and bombers flying overhead. How is Sudan going? Sudan and Russia had an agreement for a new navy base and all of a sudden we have a brand new civil war going on. It has that "Ukraine" touch to it. The US is sending troops to Peru to train the coup masters in civil control. More permits being given for lithium mining. Couldn't possibly be a connection? |
