We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. It is intentional. Ted Kennedy and the left started this back in the 60's. They laid the groundwork by passing immigration laws that were exceptionally lenient exactly so illiterate and dangerous people could be brought in. The left spent 40 years stacking the court exactly so that mass immigration once started couldn't be stopped... legally. They have to destroy the middle class, the American kulaks. Once they do that, using your money, they will be rulers over you and the constitution will be declared illegal because of racism/colonialism/stolen land/etc. It's over, you just don't realize it yet. You cannot vote yourself out of this that was proven beyond a doubt in 2020. There is only one way out of this and that is why they are so desperate to take your guns. The next step is financial collapse and your money in the banks will "magically" disappear. Then your property and your job and just like that you will become one of the poor people dependent on a government handout.

I believe that if the man who subdued Neely was a POC, we would have never heard of this incident. I’ve read a few accounts that say a person of color initially helped subdue Neely. My initial reaction to the event was that perhaps the marine went too far. But I wasn’t there. Now the media is in overdrive to beatify another deranged lunatic that should never have been on the street.

From the City Journal article: “large sums already expended are propping up a system badly designed and administered.” Yes, but I am sure that the administers are banking large paychecks, provided by the taxpayers.

I never thought I would live to see America destroyed, but here we are. To think that I gave five years of my life to fight the communists abroad, and they were busy taking over every domestic institution the whole time I served.

Pushback from the Right has been minimal and any battles won have been purely tactical. From a strategic perspective the situation is dire.

So far we've seen little on any tox screens. Yes, there's a LOT of money put into 'compassionate care' for the homeless, disturbed and deranged - but it doesn't seem to have many successes to point at. So the money isn't purposed for 'help', but to construct and keep a social worker hierarchy well supplied. And their recurring failures justify annual hefty increases to the budget.

But like so many bureaucracies designed to 'help', actually solving the problem is the last thing they want.

I was surprised to find myself reading all of it, though the piece did run a bit long for my taste.

My knowledge of Sally Field's "Gidget" was limited to what the other kids in school said about it. I never watched it.

Who knew that there were movies and books?

Plotless beach movies never appealed to me.

They're looking for deep pockets to scavenge some money from - and they're not going to find it from the criminals.

I don't think that American people have the guts to do anything. I think we will all just ride this into the ground. I have talked to people who totally disagree with what our leaders are doing but because they are Democrats and have always been Democrats and they are in unions or on some version of the "dole" they keep voting Democrat. It's over. Hug your children and grandchildren and accept what's coming. Separate yourself from those are clueless or worse support this and find a safe place, not to survive but to avoid the worst of what is coming. Nancy Pelosi and Chucky Shumer won. They played the game while our politicians fought over the scraps. Alll good things end.. it's ending.

Much of the worst things happening to America today are the inevitable result of the Supremes and Republican never Trumpers refusing to deal with the facts of the 2020 election. As an ironical twist the left has begun attacking the Supreme court judges in a way designed to bring kooks out of the woodwork to kill one or more of them while at the same time refusing to protect the justices which is totally contrary to federal law. Biden just declared at a black college graduation that the biggest threat to the U.S. is white supremacists, this was clearly intended to cause more attacks on whites and divide the country. There will be more violence as the 2024 election gets closer. The Democrats are pushing violence and division as their best ploy to get elected. Stay out of Democrat run cities and states and stay away from "teens".
