The Bureau of Land Management’s leadership is proposing to unilaterally transform its functioning from managing exploitable resources on behalf of the public to banning exploitation of those resources while potentially turning over as much as 10% of the nation’s land to leftists.

BLM’s “conservation leases” would allow environmentalist groups and others to seize public lands and potentially place them off limits under the guise of “restoring public lands”. These conservation leases would be offered to “individuals, businesses, non-governmental organizations”. Most of them would go to leftist non-governmental organizations or NGOs.

With “conservation leases” running for as long as a decade, Biden’s BLM would be able to lock up key development sites to prevent future Republican administrations from opening them up to drilling and mining. And Biden would be able to claim plausible deniability for restricting drilling and mining by claiming that the lands are currently undergoing “restoration” or “mitigation”.

BLM controls 1 in 10 acres, 30% of the country’s minerals, and much of its oil and gas. The new “conservation leases” could be used to cripple America’s energy independence for a decade while keeping energy prices high.

It's an outrage, but you got to hand it to 'em. Surprised the Dems didn't do this 30 years ago.

This strikes me as being very much like the tax dodge that let the wealthy donate the development rights of their private property to rackets like the Nature Conservancy in return for a huge tax write off. However the result was the same, to prevent the land from being utilized for its highest and best use.

Biden should just mandate that power plants produce nothing but sunshine and butterflies and unicorn farts. That senile old fool is going to be dead soon and non compos mentis long before then so what does he care? 99% of people, including certainly Joe Biden, if you were to ask them how carbon dioxide contributes to climate change wouldn't be able to give you a plausible answer. They just 'trust the science' but if you were to ask them which scientists they trust, again they wouldn't be able to tell you. It's actually the media they trust, which is so sad it's not even funny. You actually believe some reporter who has no training at all in the subject and couldn't find their own butt with both hands and a map knows what they're talking about? You shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.

We need to audit the solar and wind power installations. These are not practical or sustainable and they depend on misinformation and suppression of information to keep building them. It is literally true that every PV solar facility in the U.S. uses more energy (most from fossil fuel) than it can produce in it's lifetime. We need to look at each facility and produce and honest and complete audit of it's costs and benefits. Most people actually believe that solar and wind power can replace fossil fuels. We need honesty and facts.

Energy payback for photovoltaics is 1-4 years, while average lifespan is about 25-30 years.

Huh? You made a claim about the energy costs of photovoltaics. You were provided a citation that the energy payback is 1-4 years. Your next reply brought up the irrelevancies of funding and kickbacks, which have nothing to do with energy payback. Then, in your next reply, you wave your hands. If you have evidence to support your initial claim, please provide it.
