Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

'How to Understand the Well-Being Gap between Liberals and Conservatives'
Liberals are fueled and consumed by envy - envy of Whites (CRT), envy of men (Feminism), and envy of the wealthy (Socialism). Envy rarely brings about contentment. I think envy is to light of a description. Hatred is more descriptive: hatred of self is the starting point ie self-mutilation in all its forms; then pile on all the other hatreds -- pedophilia, rebellion against Good, whites, women, order, manners, morals, etc.
Regarding the Democrat 'structural advantages': Left unanswered is the fundamentally-important question: Where is all that out-of-state money coming from? What is the governing organization that manages the cash flow and its distribution? It ties together with the questions being raised by James O'Keefe work with his new group, uncovering Democrat small-contributor private citizens with dozens, sometime hundreds of small contributions made in their name, seemingly without their knowledge, with totals far in excess of their incomes. Where is the money coming from?
You read Ace of Spades HQ yesterday? The Left does not care about rules. Rules and laws are put in place to stop their enemies. By any means necessary; the ends justify the means are the two prominent philosophical guides for the Left. They have no moral qualms against doing whatever it takes to eliminate their enemies. Including murder.
“Exterminate the (Republican) cockroaches.” - Steven Van Zandt on Easter Sunday. QUOTE: CAN THE DEMOCRATS’ STRUCTURAL ADVANTAGES BE OVERCOME? In the 2022 campaign cycle, the top ten megadonors gave more to Republicans than to Democrats. Meanwhile, Republicans still enjoy actual structural advantages, especially with regards to the U.S. Senate and with the Electoral College. Also, by controlling most state legislatures, Republicans have successfully gerrymandered state and federal districts. For instance, even though Wisconsin voters rewarded about half their votes to Democrats, Democrats only retained about a third of the state assembly, state senate, and congressional delegation. B. Hammer: By any means necessary; the ends justify the means are the two prominent philosophical guides for the Left. No. That's much more akin to extremism. There are extremists on the political left and on the political right, and non-extremists on the political left and on the political right. That's not true. The Democrats took huge amounts of money from billionaire foreign donors and laundered it using 501c's who made it appear that there were tens of thousands of small grass roots donors. This was exposed but like all voter crimes the Dems commit nothing will be done about it. What we need is for more DA's to go after these crimes.

Some foreign money always finds its way illegally into campaigns. You might want to provide particulars for discussion. If laws were broken, they should be prosecuted. You might want to look up where Act Blue in some cases attributed hundreds of thousands of dollars over thousands of "donations" from people who were unemployed, solidly middle class and retired, or elderly and when they were asked about their "donations" on video, they said they were donors but in no way donated that much or that often (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnKCPK_OACc).
mudbug: You might want to look up where Act Blue . . .
All you provided was a video by James O'Keefe, but no link to the actual FEC data. No one is above the law. These are serious crimes. Lets have a grand jury and indictments for everyone involved. Imprisonment without bail. These is nothing less than an insurrection.

Can you provide some specific evidence? JustMe: Imprisonment without bail. Federal law under the Bail Reform Act presupposes pretrial release. To hold someone before trial requires a showing in court that the person is a flight risk, a risk to the public, or a risk to the judicial procedure.

At 5:09 of the video, a page of donations supposedly made by unemployed Carolyn Lenz all within a few days totaling upwards of $200. If you doubt the video, you can go to the FEC site and get the same information (https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/individual-contributions/?contributor_name=Lenz%2C+Carolyn&contributor_occupation=Not+Employed&two_year_transaction_period=2022&min_date=01%2F01%2F2021&max_date=12%2F31%2F2022)
In fact over the course of two years, she "donated" over 2600 times.

Thanks. That helped. If you look at the Year to dates, they don't seem to add up to the individual contributions or even increment properly. It's worth looking at it more closely, but it appears more like a problem with the data.

Whatever. The issue was that Carolyn Lenz, who is unemployed is credited with over 2600 "donations" to Democratic causes. You can complain that the FEC doesn't add them all up right but that doesn't change the fact that this is obviously fraudulent.
How about this: If you go to that FEC site and search for donations from unemployed people in Carolyn's zip code (85701), you get a list of over 6800 "donations" ONLY to Democratic causes (https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/individual-contributions/?contributor_zip=85701&contributor_occupation=Not+Employed&two_year_transaction_period=2022&min_date=01%2F01%2F2021&max_date=12%2F31%2F2022).

Well, no. They're not "obviously fraudulent." It could be a problem with the underlying data. We're not saying there couldn't be fraud. Indeed, hacking someone's account would allow a nefarious character to funnel money through that account without the person knowing. It certainly deserves a closer look. However, the evidence only represents reasonable suspicion, not probable cause, much less beyond reasonable doubt. mudbug: If you go to that FEC site and search for donations from unemployed people in Carolyn's zip code (85701), you get a list of over 6800 "donations" ONLY to Democratic causes Much the same in Palm Beach, FL.

Ok. Let me explain. "This" refers to this situation where unemployed people "donate" many times to Democratic causes much more often than they seem to be aware of and in many instances, they donate to the same cause (e.g. ACT BLUE) multiple times a day. That whole scenario indicates fraud. Not every "donation."
I don't suspect that anybody is hacking their accounts, although that is possible. I suspect that donations are made that would be in excess of statutory limits and they are laundered though thousands of people in small increments. You found a similar pattern where unemployed people seem to give to Democratic causes with great frequency. I checked my zip code and found that too. Out of 4200 of more than 8600 "donations" by unemployed people in my zip code, only one donated to a Republican cause. There were even donations for Democrats running for state congressional seats in another state which is a bit odd. Interestingly, if you change your search of Palm Beach, to donations from retired people, there is a good mix between Republican and Democratic causes.

We understand your claim. Repeating it does not respond to the objection: If the data is corrupted somehow, then you can't draw any firm conclusions. The YTD appears related to the earmarks, but those don't always align either. Not sure how you think the money enters the system. Most right-wing sources claim the people involved are mules, but that would require thousands of people each moving thousands of dollars. Conspiracies of thousands can rarely remain secret for long. Regardless, it should be possible for investigators to trace the money to determine its source.

Nah. An possible error in a calculated field is different from a data entry error. Entered data is not duplicated. It's highly unlikely that donation dates would be repeated buy contribution amounts would be different or that the url to the pdf about the donation would be different if there were a data entry error. Or that virtually every donation from and unemployed person goes to a Democrat.

A standard of digital forensics is that discrepancies have to be resolved before any firm conclusion can be reached. Sometimes the discrepancies can point to nefarious activities, but sometimes discrepancies may have other causes. You haven’t even provided a hypothesis about how the transactions worked.

re Victor Davis Hanson: Fiddling America Away
A very depressing read. Things could get very ugly for US, sooner rather than later. Killing the great cities ... to me it looks much more like suicide. When leadership refuses to enforce laws to protect property and when citizens do not feel safe in or out of their houses and leadership finds more votes in punishing law enforcement and reducing or eliminating bail, then you are well on your way to anarchy and productive people do vote with their feet. Welcome to Detroit circa late 60's ... and what does Detroit look like today?

The ancient Greeks perceived that to live with lies, to ignore realty, to ignore common sense causes “disquiet” in the soul. If your world-view means you cannot define a woman, that must take a toll on the inner psyche. The mental gymnastics to reconcile that which is unreconcilable with reality is a heavy burden. It’s no surprise there’s a sharp increase in mental problems with American youth (and I suspect – Western youth). The ancient Greeks saw this inability to live an absurdity as a basic characteristic of what makes us human. This gives me hope that this insanity cannot continue. Sooner or later these people will see the toll it is taking on them and will reluctantly give it up. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/2-children-killed-in-latest-nyc-e-bike-fire-4-survive-blaze/ar-AA19Hh5b?OCID=ansmsnnews11
These are "assault bikes" and no one needs that kind of dangerous weapon. Where are the Democrats demanding E-bike control? Where are those trying to protect the children? This problem is much worse with "assault E-cars". It is time that we ban these things as too dangerous. Sue the manufacturers and the retail outlets. VDH knows about the Long March to burn it all down by any means necessary right?
Only 100 years since the we will tear apart the fabric of American society by using racial tensions was published by the CPUSA. A toast to the magnificent cloaca that the CPUSA has created. It's gonna work this time. (horny flute loop) On one hand, in Canada 'medical assistance in dying ' is a runaway train, presumably because so many people are doing it. The drugs must be readily available for them.
On the other hand, the State of Idaho recently stated that it is unable to source the drugs for lethal injection death penalty so they are reinstituting the firing squad. Aren't the the same drugs used in both cases? What am I missing? An international border and, possibly a bribe, graft or "somesuch".
