Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. QUOTE: How the press fell for the Russiagate conspiracy theory - The media's anti-Trump bias led them to abandon basic journalistic principles. Russia interfered in the U.S. election, there were multiple contacts between Russian agents and the Trump campaign, and the Trump campaign welcomed Russian interference in the U.S. election. Care to address the thesis of the article instead of deflecting by pointing out that the Russians did what they alway do?
Care to address the Clinton campaign laundering money through a law firm to pay a foreign spy to engage a Russian intelligence asset to produce a disinformation document that was then used by partisan FBI agents to bolster falsified FISA warrants to open surveillance on her political opponent's associates? Care to address the fact that corporate media with almost no exceptions abetted this dirty trick campaign, knew what it was the whole time, and denigrated contemporaneous reporting showing it all to be fabrication and fantasy? Why don't you care about any of that? SK: Care to address the thesis of the article instead of deflecting
Sure. It was a remote possibility that Putin would have trusted Trump, who was known to be erratic. Consequently, a direct conspiracy was unlikely. The tactic was to dangle profits and prestige before Trump to align their interests. Many in the press overstated the case, though much of the core journalistic reporting was accurate. SK: by pointing out that the Russians did what they alway do? Putin is going to do what Putin does. If his agents break U.S. law, legal and diplomatic means should be brought to bear. However, welcoming election interference or allowing backchannel communications in the hopes of a political benefit, as the Trump campaign did, undermines the democratic and constitutional process. SK: Care to address the Clinton campaign laundering money through a law firm to pay a foreign spy It's not illegal to pay for background, and background is often run through legal firms, though they did have to reclassify the expenditure and pay a fine. SK: to produce a disinformation document The primary claims of the Steele Dossier, that Putin was interfering in the election to help Trump, and that there were multiple contacts between Russian agents and the Trump campaign, have been substantiated. It was always considered to be raw intelligence, nor was it even published before the election. Quibble-DickZ loves to tap dance around the truth.

Keep it up. Please. You're just doing wonderfully.
While it’s a beautiful and entertaining thing to watch an internet troll with too much time on his hands destroy his credibility, it’s not enjoyable seeing the press abandon and destroy its critical adversarial role in the republic nor to see important institutions like the FBI be politicized and to watch as the public’s faith in the people entrusted with so much power dwindles. But you, you just keep doing what you're doing. Unlike the press corps and the most powerful law enforcement agencies in the world you don't have the power to harm anyone who doesn't let you, unless one is inclined toward abdominal hernias, in which case the laughter at your comically inept excuse making for perfidy and abuse of power might cause some discomfort. Once again, if you're wondering why most everyone here rejects everything you say out of hand... SK: Once again . . .

Beautiful. Good boy. Exactly the response you were supposed to give.
Now justify the nexus between big tech/FBI and the lack of curiosity of the press about that. And do Hamilton 68.

The FBI, Twitter, and Facebook interfered in the election.
indyjonesouthere: The FBI, Twitter, and Facebook interfered in the election.
Facebook and Twitter have every right to moderate their own forums as they see fit. How do you claim the FBI "interfered in the election"? They have made every effort to keep ALL of the laptops out of the hands of everyone. The only laptop to see the light of day is the Hunter laptop and all involved are still trying out various narratives to see which will be the least damaging. The FBI had the laptop long enough to assemble charges but made very sure nothing came out before the election. We have had 17 intelligence agencies, the FBI and the CIA all shuffling in circles in an attempt to cover Obama's spying on Trump. Biden has had more contacts with Russians and Ukrainians (bribes and money laundering) than Trump ever had with Russians. AND, we have 51 nearly brain dead former intelligence officers (many now media personalities) that all piled on the laptop, without a narrative, that they insisted was fake without ever examining anything about it. You can bet their best buds in intelligence requested they do so.
IT IS ALL A POLITICAL CHARADE TO CONFIR PROTECTION ON THE CORRUPTED OBAMA AND THE BIDEN FAMILY. DEFLECT AND PROTECT ... RINSE AND REPEAT. indyjonesouthere: They have made every effort to keep ALL of the laptops out of the hands of everyone.
Whose laptop? Not providing the contents of private laptops to the public, especially those of people under investigation, is not allowed, much less constituting interference in the election. indyjonesouthere: Biden has had more contacts with Russians and Ukrainians (bribes and money laundering) than Trump ever had with Russians. The Trump administration had four years to pursue any legitimate charges. That doesn't mean Hunter Biden won't eventually be charged, probably for tax fraud. None of that substantiates your claim that the FBI intefered in the election.

Get the laptops to Jordan who is investigating the weaponization of the institutions. Leave it to the committee to see if the public can see them.
Now the House can further investigate Russia, Russia, Russia and the Biden, Biden, Biden FBI corruption and Pelosi can not stop it. No one on the Trump team could investigate previously as the FBI under Comey or Mueller group consistently investigated in order to keep the data they held away from Trump. You know the scam ... interfering in an investigation. Now is time to investigate those very investigators.

You are deflecting. You know that every laptop from Hillary/Weiner/Huma, Seth Rich, and at least 3 from Biden jr. and include the laptops that the Pakistani brothers were working.on.
Lets see how much they kept trying to cover up and prosecute any who tried to "delete" information. That should also include all the "erased" Mueller team cell phones. What was that ... about 30 phones or so that were all "accidently" erased? If it can't be retrieved then jail time for them.

No. We asked a question, and you kept deflecting. indyjonesouthere: You know that every laptop from Hillary/Weiner/Huma, Seth Rich, and at least 3 from Biden jr. and include the laptops that the Pakistani brothers were working.on. Has Congress requested those laptops? Every laptop that Clinton or Abedin has ever owned? There has to be a valid legislative purpose. Also, subpoenas have to be narrowing drawn, typically to specific documents or emails.

The valid legislative purpose is the weaponization of the institutions and the destruction of evidence showing that weaponization.
Sopenas can be narrowed down to weaponization efforts by the FBI, CIA, Hillary, Huma, Weiner, the Meuller team, Comey, 17intelligence agencies, 51 ex intelligence officers, Mark Warner and his staffer, all Ukraine emails, Zelensky emails, Biden family emails. Dept of state emails, DOJ emails. Start in the middle and work in both directions.

Those iconic Christmas songs written by Jews all seem to be rather secular, lending credence to the idea that Christmas isn't really a religious holiday and hasn't been for many years. So why the fuss over 'the war on Christmas'? Quit attacking the holiday and just enjoy it for what it is.
Agreed, they are totally secular, neither Christmas hymns nor carols.
QUOTE: How Ideologues Infiltrated the Arts . . . “One of the things I will not do is hire by race or give preference by race,” he said. “Ballet does discriminate, just not by race. This is a highly athletic art form that discriminates by body, talent, and artistic sensitivity. You have to have a certain kind of feet and proportions. It’s not just a convention. Talk about your white privilege and systemic racism. Their thighs are too thick, or they should pancake their skin a lighter color to fit in with the other dancers, or they don't look good in a pink tutu. The "proper" ballet body type hasn't been static, but has evolved, but always evolving to exclude people of color. QUOTE: Misty Copeland: Still, to this day, I will read things that I don't belong because my breasts are too large, my muscles are too big, I'm too short. But these are all excuses because there are so many dancers who are not of color, who have similar body types to me that are shorter, that have larger breasts and bigger muscles . . .
everyone can experience the beauty and power of dance. Aggie: Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar..... even if it's brown.
Yup. Sometimes racism is just racism, even when some people insist ballet doesn't racially discriminate. It's just that you have to have a white body, that's all. Nice try, but no. Or rather, you chronically emphasize what you choose, in order to mis-portray a condition in a way that supports your biases. Race hustling and bigotry are ugly in any shape or form, and you insist on pretending that you're doing it for a virtuous cause. No - in any form, it's contemptible and disgusting. And racism against white people because it's a popular theme, is just as disgusting and just as wrong.
I have three female family members that danced classically, two professionally either in ballet companies or for television productions. My daughter wanted to pursue a career in ballet too. I've been intimately involved in productions behind the scenes. Ballet companies are completely ruthless in their selection process, but the selection has very little to do with race - it has to do with talent and body proportions - unless it's objectives are woke instead of artistic. I don't know a single dancer that doesn't obsess on body shape, diet, proportion, and a continuous struggle with poor body self-image - even if they're nearly perfect. I've been watching dance productions for over 40 years and have yet to see a production that didn't feature racial / ethnic diversity, unless it was from Russia, which isn't racially diverse. Racism and bigotry are disgusting, and even more so when plastered over with woke ideologies. It's discrimination and favoritism with a different face - and it's wrong. Aggie: Race hustling and bigotry are ugly in any shape or form, and you insist on pretending that you're doing it for a virtuous cause.
Yeah. Misty Copeland, what a racist.

Oh ffs, grow up. You act like Misty is the only dancer to get shade thrown their way because of their body type. And yes, the proper ballet body type has been static; just has some outliers like Copeland and Hay.
The "disparity equals discrimination" garbage is just a weak shtick meant to power emotionalism over rational thought. You can do much better. Hoss: You act like Misty is the only dancer to get shade thrown their way because of their body type.

Chloé Lopes Gomes was told to wear white makeup so she would 'blend in' with the other dancers. It's not racism: You just have to be white, that's all. So, you don't know what outliers mean (Copeland, Hay), or just struggling with reading comprehension. But good for you, you actually identified a few outliers in a sample size of thousands.
You really shredded the "disparity equals discrimination" narrative. Hoss: So, you don't know what outliers mean
It just turns out that if you are Black in ballet, you're an outlier. See whiteface in comment to which your replied. And how can a Black person play Swan Lake. Swans have to be white, right? It's not racism: You just have to be white, that's all. You were also wrong on the evolution of ballet body types, which have clearly evolved. They are largely a matter of convention, contrary to the white privileged view of Lincoln Jones in the original comment.

Yeah proportions. My lily white friend danced ballet for years. Once she entered the full throes of puberty her proportions changed and no longer was she considered a candidate to study in the international schools of ballet which had been interested. Could she dance jazz or another form? Of course, but her proportions for ballet were now off.
BornSouthern: Of course, but her proportions for ballet were now off.
None of that changes the systemic bias against people of color. Read thread for specific examples. Through hard work and perseverance, you have made yourself the best example here of systematic bias on the basis of race. You are a race-baiting, race hustling bigot. There is no place for it in a modern, progressive society.
Planned parenthood likes to especially serve the black community so consider those as offsetting penalties if race really matters that much too you. And don't forget all the African chiefs that sold them into the slave markets. They could be dancing in Rwanda, Zimbabwe, or South Africa if they hadn't been exported.
Aggie: You are a race-baiting, race hustling bigot.
You must be referring to Misty Copeland and Chloé Lopes Gomes for pointing to specific evidence of systemic racism in the world of ballet. Did you need other examples? Seriously? "systemic bias against people of color."
Two possibilities: 1. POC see bias everywhere and in everything. Most times they are simply wrong. 2. A lot of POC are anti-white (or suffer from systemic bias against white people) and literally drip with racism and this is of course obvious to those of us who are Melanin deficient and we prefer to not be around that toxicity. How do you fix these two problems: 1. Stop blaming white people for your problems and failures. 2. Stop being racists assholes. Problem solved! OneGuy: 1. POC see bias everywhere and in everything. Most times they are simply wrong.
Sure. Being told to wear whiteface in order to blend in is just imaginary. OneGuy: 2. A lot of POC are anti-white (or suffer from systemic bias against white people) and literally drip with racism and this is of course obvious to those of us who are Melanin deficient and we prefer to not be around that toxicity. Yeah. Misty Copeland, what a racist.

When does an illegal migrant STOP qualifying for free city housing?
If someone is here illegally they should not get anything, zero, zip, nada. It should be a criminal offense to aid or abet them in any way, No housing, food, health care, nothing but a ride back to their own country. Anyone who hires them should be fined $1000 a day.
