We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Actually, I believe it's 6 more items containing classified documents. Given that careful wording it's not hard to believe there are a lot more actual classified documents inside those 6 items.

Dan Bongino (Citizen Free Press yesterday) has an FBI inside source that said it is likely someone flipped and ratted out old Joe. Too many documents found in too many places to be accidental finds.

It appears to be treason. Possibly worse than Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. This has been going on for decades! Decades of him selling government secrets. He needs to be arrested. We need to take national security serious. Everyone of his lawyers and others who came near those documents over the decades needs to be placed under oath and questioned. The FBI and DOJ need to be honest with the American people or they are part of the coverup of the Biden family crimes. How many documents? What did they pertain to? Who gave them to Biden? We need to know this now!

And they do not do well at -35 degrees Celsius which is -31 F and bloody cold in either themometer. When we hit that just before Christmas, we hibernated except spouse went out to start up the car each day of - as condintion worsened - pop on the battery trickle charges to get the battery up to speed so could start car. And, given we're in a cold climate,, we do plug in the car regularly to keep the juices flowing. Only, this time, the cold was overwhelming.

The big question I have about the Biden documents scandal is why were his lawyers cleaning up the paperwork in the first place? Destroying any evidence that might be subpoenaed by the new Republican majority in the House perhaps? We know that's how Hillary handled it - destroy all the evidence and lie, deny, obfuscate, pretend you're majorly forgetful.

'Scientific' American, and I use that term sarcastically has this in their table:

A 50 minute flight of a private jet releases more carbon pollution than your SUV does in an entire year. It only makes sense that if we are serious about reducing emissions that we ban all private jets immediately. But then we look at commercial air travel. They emit carbon pollution at a greater rate than do SUVs so after banning all private jets we need to ban all commercial air travel. At that point we should place a moratorium on banning things for a few years to see if this technique actually works.

Another technique worth exploiting to meet our entire countries reductions in carbon emissions is to immediately deport all non-citizens. Not only would this allow us to achieve the reduced emissions goals but it would result in lower rents and home prices and make more jobs available for our own citizens. It would also substantially reduce federal expenditures which would enable us to finally balance our budget.

The article only waves in the general direction, but doesn't make a substantive case. All vaccines have side effects, mostly mild, but sometimes more severe. Acquiring COVID without previous experience with the disease is much more likely to result in severe health complications than with the vaccine.

Require voters to register, i.e. don't just send out ballots. Require in person voting with an ID, (you have to have an ID to buy spray paint at Walmart!). End ranked voting. Have two teams in two separate rooms count the ballots. That is each team counts all the ballots and in order to declare a winner both teams must come up with the same numbers. Video tape both rooms and make the video available to their candidates and the public. Put a serial number on every ballot and machine check the serial numbers for accuracy and duplicates.
