We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Is there enough electricity for electric cars?

Of course not. That's exactly why they're pushing all electric cars. They don't want you to have a car. Soon there won't be enough electricity for air conditioning either. And then they start on appliances and lighting.

The evening news carried a story that the Biden administration wants to ban gas stoves -- even more drain on the electric grid.

As for EVs, of course there's neither enough raw materials to create them nor electricity to charge them so everyone can have an EV. That's the point. The only solution then is for the government to ration their use (not ownership), and that will depend on your social credit score. Mouth off about the jab or drag queen story hour, and no traveling for you.

Re: A puritanical assault. I’ve noticed that those that illegally cross our southern boarder are now referred to as migrants. They are no longer even immigrants, but migrants. An immigrant would come to a new country to, hopefully, assimilate and become an new citizen. What exactly does a migrant want?

I’m beginning to believe that everything coming from the mass media, is psychological warfare; battle ground prep.

In 17 mentions of Muhammad, the NYTimes refers to him as "Prophet Muhammad." Does the Times refer to Jesus as "the Savior Jesus Christ"?

When you are red pilled you will look at DEI and see KKK.

It is the new racism but with a twist. The founders and backers don't really care about the racism it is just a tool to acquire money and power. Whose money and power? Yours! They want to negate or rewrite the constitution and they want to tap into tax dollars and even new taxes. After all defund the police wasn't about "defunding" it was about cut their budget and give the excess to me and my homies.

So we are either smart enough to see through this scam and destroy it OR we will pay the price and destroy our republic.


All of these tropes are at their base socialism. You cannot have equity it is impossible. Go to any horse track and watch one horse will win and the rest will lose by varying margins. The same thing is true in all sports and all facets of life. One or some will win and the rest come in behind by various margins. The intent of "equity" is NOT the logical and laudable act of helping those who don't do well to become better! It isn't even claiming it intends to improve test scores or skills or athletic ability. The intent it to penalize the leaders/winners and everyone else that finishes well to bring them down to the level of the worst competitor. What we have just discovered in Va. where schools kept the success of Merit Scholars secret with the intent of not making those who failed to achieve this honor feel bad. THAT is "equity". Within 5 years, at the rate our civilization is devolving, it will be illegal for me to say this or post it on a social media site!!! THAT is "equity"!

Perhaps, complete civilisational collapse is the only solution. Only people of higher merit could survive such a happening.

Matt Gaetz it!

I have new respect and high hopes for Matt Gaetz. He negotiated for these things:
A single member can move to “vacate the chair”
A hard line on the debt limit
Votes on term limits and border security
McCarthy’s leadership PAC will stay out of open primaries
“Open rules” on spending measures, and the ability to bring up stand-alone appropriation bills
Discretionary spending cap
A commitment to set up a committee on the “weaponization” of the government

I haven't seen this kind of effort on the behalf of citizens in congress since Newt Gingrich. Now let's see if the House shuts him down and reneges on their promises.

Not long ago, just threatening not to raise the debt limit caused a drop in nation's credit rating. It's hard to imagine how the federal budget could be brought in line in a single year. To do so would probably require raising taxes and large cuts to Social Security and Medicare. Absent that, not raising the debt limit would cause the United States to default.

Even with a balanced budget there is no reason to cut SS or Medicare. However I think Welfare should end totally. I don't even think welfare is constitutional.

End welfare. Make it illegal to give or spend any federal funds on non-citizens, stop giving money to foreign government. Fire managers who overspend or fail to spend their budgets appropriately. Actually manage the government as though you cared!! Pass a balanced budget and don't allow every congress person to sneak in pork. Yeah! We "could" do it.

You forgot the arithmetic. Magic savings are no better than magic money. Also, consider a person of 80 with dementia and no remaining assets after selling her home to pay for her care. Do you put her on the street? Or a poor kid with cancer? Or a middle-aged person with osteodystrophy while on dialysis due to kidney failure? What if there is a recession and the resultant drop in revenues? Now, add up your savings.

EV and me.
I own a Tesla. 6 years. Love love love it. Charge at Telsa for free (although I have my own solar , but use that for the house.)
Tesla uses their own Solar panels to charge.
I also own an electric cargo bike for carting the kids around town and shopping. Charge lasts 12-15 miles. More than enough for half dozen trips in town. Also have manual cargo bike. Also have electric road bike. My solar panels are great. Just didn't install enough (would like to generate enough to "sell" back to utilities and store in house battery.) Go Solar!

Achievable only by the wealthy and privileged, and living is a sweet spot area where it makes sense. There isn't enough raw materials or electricity generated for everyone to have this. Ever.

And you are living is a brief moment in time where it is possible and allowed. The end goal is you will have no car so you will have no mobility. The end goal is that the WEF doesn't need you and they will starve you to death or kill you off with a plandemic.

A strategy that was planned several years ago by the democratic party is now in play. It began with stealing the election, then forcing a takeover of the government, and terrorizing every member of the opposing party. Do you really think they are going after Trump because they think he might have committed some crime? No. They are going after Trump to make sure nobody with his goals, or his policies will ever step forward again to lead this country. You may find it interesting that for quite a few years now American "trainers" have shown up in Australia "to train the locals". One example is in particular, forcing schools to accept homosexuality. Following in the pre-planned strategy there is now a local effort in Australia to damage the most recent past president who was also a Christian conservative. Same strategy and techniques they started with Trump.
Having said all of that I hope you understand when I say the vast majority of Republican operatives are "TERRIFIED" of having their reputations ruined. They will "co-operate" with anything the democrats tell them to do--tell them that is by making them feel bad by calling them ugly names. In just tonight's news, there was a story about the new local R leadership meeting with the democrats to learn how to "like each other" and "cooperate". The Republicans here are too trusting and naive to be able to understand that not one single Democrat will ever be able to truly "like" a Christian or a conservative.

I don't understand why you "don't see it".
