We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

This is like an infection. It is a virus that enters the cells of it's victims and turns them into racists grifters. The Russo-Ukrainian war was imposed on Russia by the US as a result of the American coup d'état in 2014 that removed the democratically elected President Yanukovych from office. The US also imposed the current Nazi junta on Ukraine.

All of the war and sanctions is an attempt to destroy the Russian economy and military, and eventually lead to the actual occupation and partitioning of Russia.

This is the beginning of WW III

The Ukrainian parliament had overwhelming voted for a trade deal with the E.U. Yanukovych rejected the deal and tilted towards autocratic Russia. Mass protests broke out. An interim agreement was reached, and parliament voted unanimously to remove Yanukovych from office.

Imposed by the U.S.??? It was Russia's choice to invade and at that time the U.S. was doing nothing to cause the invasion.

coup d'état in 2014: Russia was far more involved in Ukraine's internal politics in this event. Again the U.S. was not the cause.

Well! That didn't work. Russia is booming. As for their military; it was a piece of shit before the war. Now they are getting rid of old equipment, pushing out useless generals and yeah killing a bunch of 18 YO's. But their military will be stronger when this is iver. A lot of Russian mothers will be unhappy but the Russian military will be stronger.

If anything it is a warning to Russia to never start a land war in Eastern Europe. In fact even China is sitting up and taking notice of how ineffective conventional forces are to modern weapons. Russia's invasion of the Ukraine has made NATO much stronger.

Ukraine backers keep forgetting all the agreements made for Russia to allow east Germany to rejoin west Germany. The US promised not to expand NATO. The US lied their asses off and kept adding members.

Pushing Russia even further by the CIA, State dept, and especially "fuck the EU" Nuland picking a new Ukraine leader even after failing to legally remove, by impeachment, the legally elected leader. Then the US starts training and arming Ukrainian troops and allowing the NAZI brigades to kill 14,000 civilians in the Russian speaking Donbas.

Then the US moves to bring the Ukraine into NATO. How did we react when Russia put missiles in Cuba? Then we blow up a Russian pipeline. Now we threaten to install US manned Patriot missile systems. Anybody think this turns out well with EU states freezing their keisters off and having rolling blackouts and being de-industrialized due to energy prices. What a plan!

Yesterdays news with US involvement, once again, trying to replace governments that the US progs can approve of. Egypt, Libya, Syria are just the start. Meddling in Israel elections, in Brazil elections, are there any elections we won't meddle in inclusing the US election. Mexico isn't following the Biden script, are they next. Even Hillary was trying to thwart Guatemala politics.

Russia is in the Ukraine because the US has been meddling in the Ukraine for over a decade. The Bidenistas think they can use the Ukraine to corner Russia. That won't happen without a nuke war. And the future of Europe...just another WEF future backwater. No energy equals no industry.

Your country tried to be clever back on 24 February by attempting a coup d'état against the government of Ukraine. This failed because the Ukrainians defeated it. Your abortive airborne operation against Kyiv and your underestimation of Ukrainian resolve were both telling indicators of your military incompetence.

Had you just stuck to the Donetsk and Luhansk, you might well have had better success with an "intervention" to defend ethnic Russians from "Nazis". In doing so, you would have been less likely to arouse the West, already tuned out to the longstanding trench warfare in the Donbas and happily buying your energy.

But no, you went bold and failed miserably.

Well of course the Washington State Board of Education wants to push indigenous pedagogy, they're preparing society for a return to primitiveness. Once we've returned to the Stone Age, we're going to depend on the witch doctor and the shaman and the wise elders to run our societies. I just hope we don't become a cannibalistic society, except in the ritualistic human sacrifice manner. That always looked like fun.

Gov Inslee comment of "breaking the chains of history" is typical Marxist/prog gibberish on reconstructing history.

I doubt that any member Washington State education board would be willing to put their money where their mouths are and return to where their ancestors came from.
