Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Interestingly Hershel Walker was sabotaged by the governor and Lt. Governor along with some fraudulent voting. Trump didn't do that. Mitch McConnell sabotaged Arizona and badly meddled in Alaska. All of this was to push Trump out of their way.
It's also important to remember that the left and Rinos do this every election, that is give the Republicans free advice which is usually intended to cause them harm. And the Republicans generally acquiesce to this as though these givers of free advice actually want to help them. Yeah this is Trump's fault LOL and I have a bridge to sell you. This is nothing more than trying to destroy the right wing of this country. To shut them up and deny them a voice in our country Nonsense. I live in Georgia and Kemp made multiple commercials on both television and radio supporting Walker. Say what you will about McConnell but he put over 10 million bucks into the race, far more than Trump did.
Something like 230k people in the general election in Georgia voted for governor but declined to vote for senator--if you know anything at all about politics in Georgia you know that the vast majority of people who did that voted for Kemp but couldn't bring themselves to vote for Walker. I can't imaging ANY Abrams voter NOT voting for Warnock. A republicans won every statewide office on the ballot in the general in Georgia--except Hershel Walker. Walker was a terrible candidate and this is ALL on Trump--there were multiple candidates in the primary would would have beaten Warnock like a rented mule. Were it not for Trump's fixation on Kemp and Raffensberger the Senate would never have been in Dem hands for the last two years--he did more to keep Republican voters home in 2018 than any Dem strategist could ever dream of. A huge number of Republicans simply sat out the general and the runoff because the were convinced their vote didn't count. I voted for him, but right now Trump's the best thing the Dems have going for them. Ronna McDanielle has to go and Trump needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut. I'm sick of losing to losers. I have a friend in Georgia that disagrees with you.
He worked on the voter fraud after the 2020 ekection and is convinced that Kemp was behind Walker's loss. He said,"I believe that Kemp has his fingers on the controls of the Dominion Machines. All of his RINO guys won the primaries as well as general elections. Walker was the only Trump guy to squeak through. When our Kemp lackey Lt Guv announced he wasn’t voting for Walker, Herschel was doomed." This is obviously his opinion based on his experience. He provided no linked evidence to support it. I was seeing Kemp ads on TV and hearing them on radio (yes, I still listen to radio sometimes) multiple times every day. Kemp appeared with Walker at campaign rallies as well--I'm not sure how he sabotaged him doing that.
I voted for Walker on election day, and turnout at my polling place was light--there's no doubt that favors Democrats because their ground game on early and absentee voting is much more effective. If you want to blame someone other than Trump (and McDaniel) blame the Republicans in the State Legislature who after the codified early voting, too-easy absentee voting, and lock boxes to levels they should never have been taken to. The Dems are FAR better at leveraging those things. If we want to start winning elections we have to understand why we lose them--poor candidates, the Dem ground game, and mostly the overwhelming bias of corporate media and big tech--those things, especially the bias in media and tech, are what constitute the real cheat, not claiming it was suitcases, or Dominion, or some other unspecified "steal". All those simply distract from what really happened, and the Dems love distractions. How many corp media stories are being devoted to one of the major factors of the real steal--James Baker and the interference of him and other high-level FBI agents and former agents who worked to interfere in both the '16 and '20 elections? Until we can make people understand the depth of corruption and bias there is we'll continue to lose. I would have had a hard time voting for Walker. Maybe he’s a repentant Christian, but his past bit him, badly. I say all this watching things unfold from 1800 miles away.
We in conservative land need to quit telling ourselves stories. Sure there is some election shenanigans, and 2020 was quite possibly stolen. But our candidates are AWFUL. Yes, so are the dem candidates, but they get a giant pass from the media. Plus, the Dems mouth the words the majority of voters want to hear. As bad as things are, a small majority of voters seem to like what the Dems are selling. We can argue all day about how messed up socialism is and the destruction that it surely will lead to, but the current culture is to ignorant to care. We have to reform the culture. And we need better candidates. As much as I liked Trumps four years in the White House, I wish he would just go away because he can’t keep his mouth shut. Stupid things seem to flow when he opens his mouth. For the record, I despise the current GOP ‘leadership’. We don’t have a opposition party. "I would have had a hard time voting for Walker."
Here is the problem with that; Everyone who decided Walker wasn't good enough to vote for insured that we got Warnock. NOW watch what the Democrats do with their control of the Senate and a handful of Rinos in the Senate and house. Don't pay any attention to those of us who told you so, what they hell you don't anyway. Just watch as the Dems pile up anti-American bills on your back. You get what you vote for AND you get what you deserve when you don't vote. But don't worry, somewhere out there is the perfect candidate, one that we would all be proud to vote for. And I'm sure next time or the time after that or... he will run and we can be proud to elect a good guy. Just wait... don't hold your breath. I didn't say that I wouldn't have voted for him. I've never voted for a democrat.
The spineless GOP is going to sell us out, no matter. They have been doing that for decades. Even under Reagan, they sold us out. I'm thinking of the first amenisty for illegals' and the subsequent emigration bill. Everyone thought that Paul Ryan was a great republican. Look what he did for us. He paved the way for the democrats to take the House in 2018. We had the three branches of the federal government in 2017. Look at what the dems do with that sort of power compared to the republicans. We need a new party. Even if a third party never got to majority, it might throw enough wrenches into the works to prevent the uniparty from doing even more damage. I don't even know if the republic can be salvaged at this point. The under thirty population are as so communistic that it would take some sort of miracle to change their minds.

Well, I basically agree with you. I was just on a rant. I am very worried about our country's future. It is obvious to me that many politicians are actively working to destroy us. Why? I can only assume that they are getting something of value perhaps from China. Some have speculated that the FBI has the goods on everyone who gets elected and that is why they become so compliant once in office. Dan Crenshaw comes to mind. He said all the right things when he first got into politics and now he is the second coming of McCain.
I really only have two messages I want to get across: 1. We need to stop the left from using the DOJ to fill their gulags with our citizens and especially Trump. If we don't stand up against this it will become the norm. 2. Buy "beans, bullets and Band-Aids" a shit storm is coming and we are a thousand times less prepared than we were on either Oct 29, 1929 or Dec 7, 1941. It's coming I just don't know if it will be from those within our own country or from those outside of it.

You must have missed where the Lt. Governor actually said don't vote for Walker.
Here is the opinion of someone familiar with Georgia politics. https://westernrifleshooters.us/2022/12/07/padraig-martin-on-the-walker-loss-in-georgia/ "You must have missed where the Lt. Governor actually said don't vote for Walker."
He said nothing of the sort--he said he couldn't vote for either Walker or Warnock. A stupid thing to say, but Walker was an even stupider choice as a candidate. And Duncan ain't Kemp, who is very popular here and who CAMPAIGNED FOR WALKER. As far as this Martin guy, I'm familiar with Georgia politics and have been for the better part of half a century, and I can't make heads or tails out of what he's saying. Kemp campaigned HARD for Walker, that's just a fact. This didn't have to happen. It's a self inflicted wound. Gary Black or Lathem Saddler would have cleaned Warnock's clock. The fact is that the Georgia should never have had two Dem senators in the first place, and if Trump was as good at handling his domestic political issues as he was at handling sticky foreign issues Warnock and Ossoff would never have been elected. Again, over 230,000 voters took the trouble to vote in the general--they voted for governor but couldn't bring themselves to vote for senator, despite the Governor campaigning for Walker almost constantly. That's just an insane number, but it's a fact. And every other statewide race was won by a Republican--another astonishing fact. Walker was the ONLY one who lost. If you keep shooting yourself in the foot it ain't even really a fight. "He said nothing of the sort--he said he couldn't vote for either Walker or Warnock."
Do you see the irony there? Probably not. "Gary Black or Lathem Saddler would have cleaned Warnock's clock." And yet they failed! "over 230,000 voters took the trouble to vote in the general--they voted for governor but couldn't bring themselves to vote for senator," Someday you will be surprised to discover that your election offices are full of dishonest people who are cheating. Not to mention the $24 million in dark money that was secretly contributed to the Warnock campaign in the weeks before the election. Kemp is a never Trumper and he didn't want Trump to be able to take any credit as a result of the election so he only kinda sorta tried to help Walker. You can't see it. That's fine, it doesn't matter anymore now does it. Now you can watch the shit show in the Senate.

The numbers don't lie, the barrage of commercials Kemp made for Walker are real, the times Kemp appeared on stage with Walker actually happened. It was the fact that Walker couldn't even get the voters EVERY SINGLE OTHER Republican got in the same election in the same state that cost Republicans the seat.
If Walker had gotten just HALF the voters who declined to vote for a senator in the general election there never would have been a runoff! To be perfectly blunt about it people like you who live in a fantasy world are the reason Republicans haven't held the senate since 2018; you're playing right into the Democrat's hands. Thanks a lot.

The 230,000 votes that never happened is the classic "track" of the voting machines converting votes from one candidate to another candidate. I think that Georgia had voter fraud on a major scale, probably more than 230,000 votes.
re Aaron Judge Signs 9 Year $360M Contract with Yankees
I really don't understand the thinking behind this. Judge is aged 30 and his best years are likely behind him. Even if he has 3 or 4 good seasons left, they are still paying him hadsomely for those years on the backside of 35, when his numbers will be in decline. It looks to me like the money could be better spent on younger players. YMMV of course. Hijacking pediatric medicine... the more government becomes involved in medicine the more medicine will revert to a toss of the chicken bones.
Government has done this to education and how is that working. They want institutional control and NOT just funding the institutions. Re: escape from a “Post Truth” world.
“No country was ever saved by good men as good men will not go to the lengths that may be necessary.” Horace Walpole This is the direct result of the citizens not voting for someone who would stop it because that candidate wasn't squeaky clean. This problem is coming to America too, in fact it's here but the MSM works overtime to hide the consequences. But don't worry, one day a great candidate will appear who doesn't send mean tweets and he will fix everything...
Just look at the candidates that were supposedly (ha ha) elected during the mid terms. It's as if there needs to be a test for cognitive ability to run or vote. Of course the fraud is out there if people open their eyes and the court system was fair. We have visited Ireland five times and have loved our visits but we could see it changing and saw the results of their elections. The worst behaving people were the young women, about like some of the ones over here causing trouble. They would about run you off the road while taking their kids to school. They also voted for abortion so you could see which things were going in the country.
