Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. So now we should believe that John Fetterman ran a shrewdly-calculated campaign, convincing voters that he represents the working class? "He looks and sounds like a working class Pennsylvanian who is empathetic to the struggles of his neighbors."

Besides his hoodies, what is working class about John Fetterman>? How many years has he spent at working class jobs? How many years has he lived a working class lifestyle?

The Guardian is parody site. We don't get much PA news here on the West Coast, so I have to ask, Did Oz hang the Kensington Ave drug situation on Fetterman? Hang it hard, Is this your daughter?, bumper stickers, window signs for Fetterman. As I see it, Oz was splitting the difference before he even got to the bargaining table.

There's reality and there is campaigning. John Fetterman ran for the Senate in 2016 from his Braddock mayor job as a champion of the downtrodden and an unconventional politician. He lost, but the image stuck, and he easily was elected Lieutenant Governor in 2018.

He has toured the state and met with people in every county wearing cargo shorts and a hoodie instead of the usual politician garb. Regardless of the underlying realities of his life, that is how you establish a populist image as a committed leftist. You'd be surprised how many PA Trump voters also liked John Fetterman.

I refuse to read any economic or political article concerning the working-class that does not include the word immigration a single time. We are being erased and replaced. Almost everything being fed us in the news is a distraction. Decade after decade working-class people have wanted less legal immigration and zero illegal immigration and we have received the opposite. I voted for Jimmy Carter and Al Gore. We no longer live in the same country. We have been occupied.
