Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Ron DeSantis is awesome. I hope someday he does become president. We need more Republicans like DeSantis. But... All those Rino's and never Trumpers pushing for DeSantis are far more interested in breaking up the base that supports Trump just as they broke up the tea party because it is difficult to elect Republicans from the "club" if the base is awake.
This isn't about Trump! It was never about Trump either for the Democrats who tried to destroy him or the Rino's and never Trumpers who eagerly joined in that effort. It is about splintering and destroying the conservative base. They aren't after Trump they are after YOU and that has always been true. DeSantis is a good guy, I like him, but the Rino's will use him to dilute the conservative base and then throw him away like they throw everyone away that isn't in the "club". Not everyone offering advice to Republicans on how to take power back are on our side. Don't be Charlie Brown expecting Lucy to hold that football so you can kick it. The Democrat party has moved so far left they have become communists and many of the Republicans have become weasels. It's a victory for the populist wing of Republicans -- the ones who want to massively cut the bureaucracy and get rid of the deep state.
I put it that way because ours is not the only vision of the GOP's future. In particular the worst RINOs, people like Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham, are fighting hard (and using their control of RNC funds) to kick the populists out of the party, and it appears this time they mostly got their way. The VivaBarnesLaw (.locals.com) community are talking about organizing a populist PAC to champion the good guys within the GOP since Trump has proved himself unequal to the task. Trump may or may not be worth electing again. (There are still some Trump voters who like him but hate the rest of his party, but do they outweigh Trump's inability to pick trustworthy subordinates or his refusal to distance himself from the harmful Covid "vaccines"?) Meanwhile we have a lot still to do, both to fight election fraud and to take up tactics that work for the other side (such as supporting weak Democrats in the primaries, which they did to us in spades this year). It was a win in my state. We are rid of uniparty senator Blunt and welcome new senator Eric Schmitt. Blunt was a McConnell supporter and uniparty voter. It may appear to some that replacing a republican with a republican is no big deal but it surely was in this case.
Re. Twitter -- It will be funnier than heck if they go broke and shut down, while Gab stays in business.
I heard Elon is buying YouTube and Facebook (META) to form a new juggernaut - plans to call it 'YouTwitFace'!
Re: Competence, Not Chaos. The midterm results point to major underlying issues for the Republican Party and the nation.
While the Red Wave, much less the Red Tsunami (defined as a large number of GOP house and senate candidates were swept into office), did not happen, it's important to note that in house races, the GOP won more than 6M more votes than the Dems. Compared to the Tea Party Wave election where the GOP won 65 house seats and the margin over all house races was GOP +6.5%, the margin this time was GOP +6.1% (and I've seen it at +6.5%). In addition, in this election, the gains in black and Hispanic voters were apparently real. In a real way, the GOP won but it lost. re The Democrats’ false victory - A progressive bloodbath has merely been delayed

President Trump Fires Back Against Ron DeSantis, Con Inc and Coordinated Narrative Midterm Effort
"President Trump can see and hear the same things everyone else can see and hear, including the coordinated media and GOPe effort to diminish him and the MAGA movement within the Republican club. The Democrats and professional Republican class both want to see the populist movement destroyed for the same reason Mitch McConnell wanted the Tea Party destroyed in 2010. The assembly of the united middle-class and blue-collar base inside the Republican Party, essentially the broad MAGA movement, represents a Main Street threat to Wall Street control of the GOPe. There are trillions at stake. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/11/10/president-trump-fires-back-against-ron-desantis-con-inc-and-coordinated-narrative-midterm-effort/ MAGA is driving the uniparty over the cliff. Trump recognized that movement and embraced its goals. It is the "leave me the hell alone" movement that is determined to drive the marxist cult of Dys functionalism out of the political arena. It will take years just as it took years for marxist ideology to imbed itself here. Never quit.
Do not ignore the fact that the election cheating still happened. We do not know how much of the red wave was damped down by suitcases of ballots. The mechanisms for this cheat are still in place in a number of states. Certainly Az, Pa, Mi and NY had cheating by the Dems. It doesn't appear to be as sloppy and extensive as the 2020 cheating was. The Democrats are refining their game. If we don't stop the cheating then we will lose our country and THAT is the end game of the left.
The MAGA voters (and all the middle class even those on the left who won't see it coming) are the 21st century Kulaks. They must be destroyed so the neo-Socialists can turn America blue. The replacement voters are coming in by the hundreds of thousands and soon it will be time for the purge of the Kulaks. What are you prepared to do?
Uh oh.

The Battle of Nauset Beach — Inside the Little-Known 1918 German Bombardment of Cape Cod
https://militaryhistorynow.com/2022/11/07/the-battle-of-nauset-beach-inside-the-little-known-1918-german-bombardment-of-cape-cod/ Well in about 3 years all we're going to get the biggest COLD SNAP of our lives, and it's staying for years. Triple-insulate your house, store 5x the firewood you think you'll need, and maybe get a little greenhouse started too. Don't forget that self-cycling solar hot water collector, either.
The WEF is going to have their plans very rudely interrupted by Mother Nature. |
