We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. We don't have a vaccine for the common cold because we've been defining "vaccine" wrong this whole time. Under the new COVID vaccine definition, a shot of whisky with a couple of ibuprofen constitutes a safe and effective vaccine for most anything that ails you.

So the people that put us through two years of hell, with their constant half-truths and outright lies, now want amnesty? They locked us down, destroyed countless lives, killed businesses and people, and now they want to sweep it under the carpet like it never happened? That's a hard no. First you have to admit how very wrong you were. And some of you need to pay a very painful price. I'm looking at you Anthony Fauci. The leader of the tyranny. I won't forgive and forget until you repent. The authoritarian nature is still a huge part of your being, and I see no action on the part of the tyrants involved that leads me to believe they have changed their evil ways.

One of the changes needed is to not allow these authoritarians to easily declare an emergency. There needs to be accountability to emergency orders. They need to be reviewed by the peoples representatives within 15 days. No more declarations of emergency that can last for two years. This is true especially at the local level. No one person gets to lock down the entire state, or country for months on end without being accountable to congress.

Spread throughout the economy are people in positions that come with a hefty paycheck that should actually be paid based on a lower check with bigger bonuses for proven performance/success. They took the paycheck with Hope (for a bonus that may be based on EBITDA, not real profit). The worse that can happen is getting fired.
What we're seeing as people quit or retire, the lower level workers are not being trained to the same level of competency. Instead of being Good striving for Excellence, we're no longer even good. Millions in losses of finished goods because people don't know what to do. Or under pressure to cut corners. Because corner cutting can be hidden in EBITDA, until it can't.

I looked it up and a law was recently passed over the governor’s veto that he must name a new senator from a list of three that is drawn up an executive committee of the same party (https://legiscan.com/KY/text/SB228/id/2286907). This might turn out ok!

And the governor's term is up next year so he could be replaced with a Republican, at least the way things are trending.

I almost think some of the speculation that Mitch really really wants to stay Minority Leader could be accurate because an elevation to Majority Leader in 2023 could mess up a plan to retire in early 2024 (his term is up in 2026 so that would give his successor a couple of years incumbency). It seems to me that it would be much easier to retire directly from the Minority Leader slot than Majority Leader, meaning he'd probably have to pass on Majority leadership this time. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds.

McConnell will try to get Thune or Cornyn in to replace him as Senate leader. They are both useless uniparty officeholders. Most of his old Senate leadership pictures showed his loyal cadre of fellow uniparty officeholders in the background. Most are being pushed out of office as Rinos, but a known recently elected Senator from Indiana is Todd Young, and he is an authentic McConnell Rino. The Rinos have no place in politics.

We left our church due to wokeness and know may others that have done the same. We have not left Christianity or Christ just the physical location for those that do not follow the teachings of Christ. We moved to a smaller town and found many have turned to a local church that is still very traditional and those have come from various denominations due to unhappiness from the leftists takeover.

It's funny, how the issue of homosexuality caused the collapse--doesn't the Bible say something about this? I know there is a strong story about homosexuality among the military destroys the military. After what Biden has done to our military it won't be an issue if we can defend our allies against China--we won't be able to.
Religion (ethics/moral codes) is gone.
Family--a strong organized effort is being made today to destroy the family.
Education system--destroyed
Legal system--???
The destruction of our military began in earnest under Obama and is continuing today.
Freedom of speech--not anymore
Clean election system--nope

it's worth pointing out that the woker churches and congregations are bleeding congregants, while the more strict churches and congregations are the only one that are actually growing. This is also true with Judaism: Orthodoxy grows, while the rest are shrinking.

Back in 1928 the communists said that racial tensions would be the way to dissolve America and in 1922 the CPUSA promised to deliver the USA by any means necessary.

Stalin made a quote about faith and family being the armor of America and that it must be destroyed.

Divide the world into regional groups as a transitional stage to world government. Populations will more readily abandon their national loyalty to a vague regional loyalty than they will for a world authority. Later the regions can be brought together all the way into a single world dictatorship.

Biden won Georgia in 2020 by two suitcases of ballots. This election even with all the dead people voting and NGO's going house to house gathering mailed ballots to vote for Democrats and give then to mules to deposit in the convenient voter drop off boxes it looks like the Democrats will lose. Even when the poll workers count hundreds of ballots multiple times it still looks like the Dems will lose. Meanwhile Hillary has become an election denier. Crazy world!

Prof. Giordano is one of those "intellects" who tries to straddle both sides of the current conflict.
Many, many reports began recording the decline in American skill levels K-12 (Math, Science, Language, Reading) a long time ago. Maybe the first notice came out about 15 years ago.

The Professor does not also acknowledge the use of I pads and computers in the classroom. That is to say in the university classroom, you will find almost every student sitting in a live lecture with their computers open on their desk. They are surfing "the subject"(?) or just plain ignoring the in-person lecture by playing online with their friends, or sending emails, etc.
I can't tell you how many college classrooms, and lecture halls I have been in that encourage "use your computer to find more info". They can do that at home.
In the K 12 classes, teachers use their own computers to "teach". And, again children are allowed to have their own computers, I pods, etc. during the class--the teacher doesn't have to work too hard at keeping their attention that way!!
Not having to interact with the person in front of the classroom is almost the same as online education! It seems to me by reinforcing (demanding) the survival of American schools, the professor is trying to make those unions happy!
