Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

There are two notable features of the recent BrighamYoung volleyball game race hoax that have been underplayed by the media, and yet are key to understanding the incident.
1. The race hoax was started by the young athlete's godmother. She did not attend the game and had no evidence to offer - and yet she took to the Twitter universe to proclaim (in detail) that the incident had taken place and that the girl was harassed all the way to the bus. Key fact: This person, Lesa Pamplin is a Fort Worth, Tx lawyer that is presently running for office in the position of circuit court judge. And in addition to politicking, she has a rich history of race hoaxing and racist postings online in Twitter and Facebook. Her favorite pejorative phrase (before all of these were taken down) seems to be 'Whypipoe' and the racist things they do, and other trashing of people of the white race. Very few journalists have called any attention to this whatsoever - but this is the genesis of this particular hoax - a political opportunity in Texas - and until racist behaviors like this are called out and shamed for their hatefulness, it will continue, as useful dishonest leverage. 2. Remarkably, nobody was willing to support & promote the lie. Nobody in the crowd of actual witnesses was willing to jump aboard and help inflame the situation, and the officials at Brigham Young and its wider law enforcement community were diligent in following through. That is encouraging. Bari Weiss has a good piece about this on her Substack. " Pills for the Girls"
I enjoy kids. My kids were great growing up and now my grandkids are awesome. I enjoy their happiness and curiosity and eagerness to learn. But early on I noticed that the boys basically want just a few things; they want food when they are hungry, toys appropriate to their age and the freedom to go out and play. Girls on the other hand, while they want the same things also want attention, and reassurance, and complements and nice clothes, and expect you to entertain them and the "right" food not just food. And a pretty bedroom, and to listen to them while they complain about this or that or their friends or former friends, and comfort then when they cry, they don't sleep good, they might cry or simply be depressed but they don't sleep all night, etc endlessly. Now I don't know why this is true but I know it's true. Meanwhile my boys are out there entertaining themselves, rough housing and getting past it without a second thought and when they go to bed they sleep like a stone and get up the next day and want to eat and go play and I won't see them again until lunch and when they come in from lunch they are happy, dirty but eager to eat and get back out to play ball or ride their bike, while the girls are complaining about what I made for lunch. Then as adults the drama continues. My boys are living their best lives if things go wrong you never know it, they handle it. My girls are complaining, telling tales/gossiping, spreading/insisting on drama, on diets, off diets, blaming everyone else when anything goes wrong, etc. I don't know why it is this way but it is. How many men out there know of a women that has a kitchen cabinet full of pills? I’m not talking about illegal drugs. I’m talking about vitamins and herbs, extracts. Maybe I’ll be arrested for saying it, but women, as a general rule are just mor gullible than men. I just committed a hate crime, I’m sure. Im not factoring in the modern, effeminate man. You know, pajama boys, that advertise for Obama care. A burly iron worker won’t have a cabinet full of pills, but his wife probably does.
Look at the last hundred or so years. Now I’m not against women voting, but look at all the socialism that has arisen since the inception of the 19th amendment. The country was awash with the great rugged individual. Men of steal that conquered the West, won two world wars, went to the moon. Now look at us. Here is an example https://nypost.com/2022/09/15/rep-alexandria-ocasio-cortez-slams-rep-clay-higgins/ of why women shouldn't be in politics or management.
It is crazy that AOC and other women actually believe that women are so "tender" that they cannot deal with real life. Buck up or get out. Of course this is actually nothing more than AOC (and others who do this) trading on their gender and social construct to get special treatment. Exactly the same as POC demanding special treatment for similar reasons. IF they self define that their "sensitivity" makes it impossible for them to function then they should go home and sit in the dark. "Bow down to me you serf or I'll cry!" In my opinion once a politician or anyone defaults to this lame demand for special treatment that they should be "separated from service for the good of the country". Hat Tip: Ace of Spades HQ:
QUOTE: He even duped a gullible General Motors, who signed a partnership just weeks before his elaborate ruse was uncovered. When GM signed the deal, CEO Mary Barra failed to properly explain what technology her company was actually securing. Hindenburg Research was convinced GM merely looked to bask in the collective shine of its charismatic founder, “a forward-thinking, fresh, visionary entrepreneur capable of rivaling Elon Musk’s allure.” The quote comes from a article on Fortune (subscription req.): "Trevor Milton founded buzzy EV company Nikola and positioned himself as the next Elon Musk—then his $34 billion house of cards came crashing down." Remember a few months ago, CEO Mary Barra standing in front of an electric car, but doesn't know where the power comes from to charge it? She knew, but was willing to play dumb. To admit that electric cars consume a whole bunch of power, from an already overloaded infrastructure, gives up the con. The so called Robber Barons, had nothing on these modern day greenies. And thus we sit together now,
And all night long we have not stirred, And yet God has not said a word! — Robert Browning re Left-Wingers Melt Down Over Diversity Brought To Martha’s Vineyard As Migrant ‘Sanctuary’
To no one's surprise. . . Just as quickly as they arrived, the Martha's Vineyard immigrants have been politely kicked off the island by the inclusive-and-tolerant rich white liberals https://notthebee.com/article/marthas-vineyard-has-already-begun-the-deportation-process-according-to-cbs-reporter-but-don About 99.9% of the commentary on Climate Change is by ignoramuses who have at best a vague idea of what they're talking about. Climatology is a very complex subject dense in mathematics and I know enough math to understand how gob-smackingly ignorant the average person is of math. The idea that the average person understands climatology is laughable.
The idea that even scientists understand enough about climate to be able to manipulate it is quite doubtful in my opinion. The fact that government funds about 100% of climatology and doesn't fund research that denies the consensus opinion is a much better explanation for why so many scientists support the consensus opinion in my opinion. Refer to the IPCC report https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg2/downloads/report/IPCC_AR6_WGII_Chapter01.pdf, Section 1.2.2: Narratives, Storylines, Scenarios and Pathways
..."Narratives can also play a key role in enabling collective action (Section 1.5) by helping disparate groups co-create a common vision of a desirable future and achieve a common understanding of actions needed to move towards that future..." ..."Standard research communication may fail to engage policymakers, media and the public at large. Rather, policies and decision making tend to be based on narratives and storylines " .."Communicating research insights through storylines and narratives may have a better chance of transmitting key messages. AR6 employs these communication tools in many places, for instance storylines for constructing and communicating regional climate information or climate services or ‘low likelihood high warming storylines’ "Storylines are used to assess risks related to low-likelihood, but high-impact events.." ..."To better communicate deep uncertainty in sea level rise projections, WGI uses storylines to describe the physical events that would have to unfold to generate its high-end estimates" They are completely open about using low probability/ high consequence events for influencing policy makers into panic-driven decision-making. The whole section is about the methodology of moving away from a scientific discussion and the classical debate of data and results, and instead focusing on the soft politics of social influencing. It is social engineering - not science. As far as Denmark refusing vaccines to healthy under-50's, they seem to be admitting that the risks outweigh the benefits. Yet I was repeatedly assured that there were no risks from the vaccines, so what gives? If the vaccines can't hurt you, why not take them just in case? It's a puzzle, ain't it?
Jerryskids: As far as Denmark refusing vaccines to healthy under-50's,
They are referring to booster shots. The Danes have a very high initial vaccination rate. For most younger persons, the booster will not offer much additional protection. Jerryskids: they seem to be admitting that the risks outweigh the benefits. There are always risks, but the risks of COVID vaccination are minimal for most people. https://www.sst.dk/en/english/corona-eng/vaccination-against-covid-19 Z: They are referring to booster shots. The Danes have a very high initial vaccination rate.
Since they have a very high initial vaccination rate, they are of course referring to boosters. They can't retroactively ban shots that have already been given. Z: ...but the risks of COVID vaccination are minimal for most people. And yet https://expose-news.com/2022/04/20/analysis-gov-data-finds-covid-vaccination-increases-risk-death/ mudbug: "Analysis of Offical Government data finds Covid-19 Vaccination increases risk of Death due to all-causes in all Age-Groups"
It finds a correlation, not a cause. The correlation is due to people who already have health problems are more likely to vaccinate than people who are otherwise healthy. On further review, it's not even clear if the maths are right. We will wait for them to publish in a medical journal.
Ahhh ! Yes! wait for it to be published. No reason to take it serious or take action. Yes people are dying and having life changing side effects but it can wait until after the election before we decide to look at it. And of course if there is anything there that should worry us it will be "deemed" Trump's fault. Move along, nothing to see here.

The same reasoning applied for not using Ivermectin as an early treatment for Covid potentially saving 100s of thousands of lives.

We are facing an inflationary depression. By the end of Biden's 4 year term the dollar will have dropped in value to $.50 from when he took office. At the same time tens of thousands of small, medium and large companies will go bankrupt and disappear. The stock market will crash, maybe by 50% maybe by 70% or more. We can see the early sings all around us but the government is lying to us and telling us it will be fine. It won't be fine.
