I don't think history is history, it's just that history is now last week. Anything beyond that is "the olden days" and has absolutely no relevance to today. Move on.

Colorado does not currently use all its allocation and does not have reservoir capacity to store for future use. So much of Colorado's allocation goes into Lake Powell...never to see Colorado again. The Colorado Compact that regulates and determines how water from the Colorado River is allocated is a complex document and has been a subject of contention between the member states (and Mexico) since inception in 1922.

I have concluded that all of this must be more than Trump derangement syndrome. It is too widespread and vitriolic. It is obvious that Trump and the movement he represents, is an existential threat to the leaders in our country and the world.

It seems to me that the goal of our Democrat party is to eliminate the middle class and bring in enough replacement voters such that our country becomes ungovernable and must then be ruled over rather than represented. Many Americans sense this even if they don't fully realize it and Trump actually has come out and said it and acted on it. For our "rulers" this is a "threat to our democracy". They have a plan to fully loot and rule over our country and Trump, the upstart, wants to move us back to the constitution and the rule of law. For that he must be destroyed.

As a rule I don't try to urge prayer on people who don't believe in it. Nevertheless, the prayer approach is no more unfalsifiable than the climate faith.

Mediocre is not the word. Back when I was in college in the ‘70s, the education curriculum was universally considered the easiest and being the easiest, it was the place where kids who couldn’t make it in another curriculum sometimes ended up. Surely some were dedicated people who wanted to be good educators but some were also washouts. In addition, education curricula don’t appear to ensure competency in any discipline.

When my daughter was in college, girls in her college got reduced (free?j tuition in education if they promised to teach for some number of years. Often, those promises went unfulfilled and there were no consequences.

While this is going on, people who actually know things and want to impart some of that knowledge to young kids are not allowed because they don’t have an education degree.

Great system, eh?

No. Independent scientists working with different models can cross-compare results.

For instance, there are multiple models that track hurricanes. When and where they converge and match observations, it lends confidence to the models. If they diverge from each other or from observations, it can allow for the development of better models.

That's what they're for. They are much more reliable today than in years past, which gives people much better information for preparing for landfall. Hurricane tracking models save lives.

And none of those models are reliable. How many models have accurately predicted hurricane season so far. Out of how many models are being used.

And that is only predicting, at most, a year in advance.

And you actually think predicting 10 years or more in advance is going to be accurate? Get the climate hoaxers off the government teat. They are simply consuming dollars better spent elsewhere. And they never correct their bogus data...they just keep accumulating more bogus data. The so called science is anything but science.

Hurricane movement is inherently stochastic. However, today's 5-day forecast is as good as the 3-day forecast was just a decade ago. That gives people more time to evacuate. And that translates into lives saved.

But there are multiple hurricane tracking models, and we know they are more accurate today than they were even a decade ago, and much more accurate than before the advent of modern computer modeling. And that saves lives.

To answer your question, meteorologists work with probabilities, and hurricane tracks have a significant stochastic element. Consequently, it is not predictable how many hurricanes may hit the U.S. in any given year. The years 2018 and 2019 both saw category 5 Atlantic storms, while 2020 saw three category 4 storms. None hit the U.S.

Climate change is real and thank god! Around 1850 the little ice age ended ( a natural climate event). and the climate began to warm (duh! what else could it do after a little ice age ended!?). The little ice age wasn't "that" cold perhaps a few degrees colder than today. But that small amount of colder climate (natural and not caused by cow farts) allowed plagues and crop failures and a genera degradation of life. But thank the lord it warmed up! Crops are doing much better. People are living longer, staying warm isn't a struggle. And even better, wait for it, as often happens in the natural climate events the CO2 has increased slightly so crop yields have doubled!! EVERYTHING that happened Quite naturally) was good for man and the environment!

But man is naturally stupid (I mean allowing themselves into being cowed into wearing useless masks and lockdowns and...) and they have bought into the climate change grift. The purpose of the grift is to move massive amounts of money and power from YOU to others. Simple as that. NOTHING we can do will change the climate! We are like little ants on the ass of planet earth and nothing we do will change the climate. But man is stupid and easily falls victim to mass hysteria and is committed to following the lemmings off the cliff. It is a pretty good grift and by the time they are done your children and grand children's future will be a fiscal disaster that we may never recover from BUT, the good news, there are hundreds, maybe thousands of people who will become billionaires and tens of countries who will become rich from our gifts of our tax money and abdication of power. The biggest grift in history and you have a front seat to it. Whoop! Whoop! There will be movies made exalting the brilliance of this great grift. But... the bad news is the movie will be in Chinese, with Chinese actors and it won't show in our theaters because we won't have theaters and we will all be slaves to China thanks to the AGW grift.

"School writes up student for wearing hijab"

The school has a uniform policy. So my question is does this student wear the hijab 100% of the time or only to troll the school. As I understand it the hijab isn't required by their religion AND even those who wear the hijab choose when they wear it (except in Iran where they beat women for these infractions).

What if some student decided that their religion required them to wear a jock strap instead of pants would that be OK?

We need to put a moratorium on immigration, all immigration until we deport everyone here illegally and everyone who has immigrated has become completely assimilated and speaks English.
