We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Australian CO2 legislation...if you were born in an even year you can breathe on even numbered days and if in an odd year on odd numbered days. However, if you're willing to purchase a license we will allow you to breathe all night long regardless of the day.

Nationalize 'Big Oil'?

What could go wrong? Our government is made up of graduates of the best schools in America. They were all at the top of their class in school. They are brilliant capable people...

Naw! They are all dolts. The smart people don't get into government they get into business. The people who want to remake this country into their own idea of what we should all be get into government. They are like the Karens in your HOA who actually believe they can interfere in your life and destroy your happiness and in fact that is their only goal in their shallow lives.

This is socialism. Our government is schlepping us all into socialism.

All of our problems are easy ones. Smart and honest people could solve them. Our government does not attract smart or honest people. It attracts devious and dishonest people. The number of congressmen/women who have not become millionaires in my 78 year lifetime could be counted on my fingers. Power corrupts. And power attracts corrupt people.

51 people died in the trailer of an 18 wheeler. 21 people died in Uvalde. Should the response to those 51 deaths be at least 2 and 1/2 times as big as the reaction to the Uvalde deaths. Ban tractor trailers! Do background checks to be able to drive them. Owners should be registered and show a reason to own one, and then the states should arbitrarily deny those requests. No one needs a trailer that big.

The piece is from Psychology Today. I sincerely hope he spends the rest of his life in the big city which he may understand. He would have no chance at survival if he resided in rural America. He seems to be fully tribalized in the academic culture. Everywhere else is alien to his tribe.

Myth-making like that in Australia is common to all nonwhite indigenous cultures. They present their cultural spiritualism as a defense against the wider, modern society, whether there's any real truth to it or not. Until the advent of Christianity, European cultures were probably the same way when the Romans came stomping in. The problem today is that white academics and other liberals are suckers for it.
