Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

A bachelor's degree in "Diveristy?" What a joke! Makes the whole university a joke.
So glad MIT has gone "woke", that's pretty much all of academia that can be safely ignored.
Re: Biden and student loan forgiveness. Aren't all money bills to begin in the House? When did Biden become Emperor?
Thanks for the Vermont story. Manhattan Contrarian pretty much trashes the woke MIT report:
https://www.manhattancontrarian.com/blog/2022-5-26-mit-weighs-in-on-energy-storage How is a crazed leader of the Holy Roman Empire surrounding himself with fake scientists while his civilization crashes any different from Biden and his Climate Change 'scientists'?
It isn't just Biden and the admin state either. There are Governors and corporate CEO's that are just as far off the rails. Then look at some of the international organizations such as WHO, WTO, NATO, IMF or the UN. Throw in religious leaders so as to leave no one out. It's the era of "can't we all just get along", "don't worry be happy", and "I feel your pain". It is all magical thinking but presented as "SCIENCE". The enlightenment got us here and now we're almost to the point of reading by candlelight...if there are still books.
Ethanol is unique in that it requires 130% actual energy to make to get the 100% of energy from it. AND as a bonus it destroys food in massive amounts because they use corn. Why corn? Why not bio mass? Because a few states with farms raising corn convinced the congress to require that it be made from corn. But that isn't all. No! Ethanol destroys auto engines AND reduces gas milage. Is that a win/win or what?
Grew up on a farm in the plains. Many old neighbors are now all
“ethanol millionaires”. QUOTE: Florida’s Covid numbers were obviously right all along. Since June 2020:
New York, 188 Virginia, 219 California, 219 Florida, 333 Post-vaccine, death rates in red states were 38% higher than in blue states. Pro-Trump counties continue to suffer far higher COVID death tolls According to Worldometer (https://ftp.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/)
New York deaths per 1M: 3,569 Florida deaths per 1M: 3,467 mudbug:
New York deaths per 1M: 3,569 Florida deaths per 1M: 3,467 That's right. New York and California bore the brunt of the initial impact of the pandemic before effective countermeasures were developed. However, from June 2020, soon after the start of the pandemic, Florida has done considerably worse. Red states and red counties have done poorly since the vaccine has became available in January 2021. There they go again. (((Quibble-DickZ))) making it up then when the error is pointed out they start doing their uh ... "qualifier" bit.
Kinda like their violating of thermodynamic laws with their heat pump bit. Such clowns. Must be why all those people kept moving from Florida to New York OR from Texas to California. (people in Florida & Texas probably wish that was so becasue it's the opposite) What rubbish. Only added the note because in 2 years someone reading these comments might believe Zachriel when he's full of it. Paid Troll.
So the great advantage of the blue-state model is that, although overall deaths are comparable to the results in red states, they're slightly different in which temporal stage of the pandemic they can be assigned to?
For this we trashed the economy and the election system and the Constitution and the credibility of scientific, journalistic, and political institutions? This is what you find when you look up stupid in the dictionary. Of course it is really about politics because DeSantis didn't shut everyone down and make everything worse as the Democrats mandated so they could exploit the "crisis". THAT in a nutshell is what this was all about. They could care less how many lives they ended or how much economic harm they caused it was all about furthering their own power. The Democrats are the epitome of evil. They can't wait to do it again. Maybe Monkey Pox, maybe some other disease they are complicit in developing. One more fake "pandemic" and you will all be broke and your civil rights gone while a few million replacement voters will cross our border every year. Wake up your country is being stolen right out from under you.
Texan99: For this we trashed the economy and the election system and the Constitution and the credibility of scientific, journalistic, and political institutions?
A million Americans died during the pandemic. The U.S. Constitution allows the government to respond to pandemics. Texan99: So the great advantage of the blue-state model is that, although overall deaths are comparable to the results in red states, they're slightly different in which temporal stage of the pandemic they can be assigned to? That New York and California bore the brunt of the initial impact of the pandemic before effective countermeasures were developed should not be a contentious point. That doesn't explain why Texas and Florida did worse after June 2020, and why red regions did worse than blue regions after the development of the vaccine. http://www.zachriel.com/blog/RedBlueCOVID.png grant1863: Must be why all those people kept moving from Florida to New York OR from Texas to California. (people in Florida & Texas probably wish that was so becasue it's the opposite) Generally, people move to the South when they retire. They move towards economically more developed urban regions when they look for work.
New York, 93463 California, 85546 Texas, 67235 Florida, 56301 "The U.S. Constitution allows the government to respond to pandemics."
Allows or is silent. Either way that isn't thew point. First it does not allow the suspension of constitutional rights NOTHING does! Second one would hope that the government would respond with wisdom and effectively. But they did everything wrong and now after two plus years it is obvious that they did everything wrong intentionally to steal an election and acquire more power. A million people died. We will never know how many of those would have lived if the Democrats hadn't stopped the use of Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. They stopped using those drugs because they were afraid it would make Trump look good. They didn't care how many would die as long as they could get elected. Our Democrat politicians actually committed murder to win an election!! Many deaths attributed to covid were actually the result of the vaccine which has caused tens of thousands of deaths and with more discovery of what they are hiding perhaps hundreds of thousands of deaths. This entire fiasco needs a congressional investigation and a special prosecutor.

OneGuy: First it does not allow the suspension of constitutional rights NOTHING does!
No rights are unlimited. For instance, it is illegal to falsely shout "Fire!" in a crowded theater. The government has the power to make you stop when the light is red, or to draft you and make you march into battle. And the government has the power to respond to pandemics. OneGuy: We will never know how many of those would have lived if the Democrats hadn't stopped the use of Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. Clinical trials have not shown the efficacy of either drug for the treatment of COVID. See Lim et al., Efficacy of Ivermectin Treatment on Disease Progression Among Adults With Mild to Moderate COVID-19 and ComorbiditiesThe I-TECH Randomized Clinical Trial, JAMA Internal Medicine 2022. OneGuy: Many deaths attributed to covid were actually the result of the vaccine which has caused tens of thousands of deaths and with more discovery of what they are hiding perhaps hundreds of thousands of deaths. The scientific evidence strongly supports the fact that the million excess deaths were due to COVID-19, and that the vaccine significantly reduces the risk of hospitalization and death.

Ivermectin works but is banned. The shots do not but are forced.
If Ivermectin did not work then it would not be banned. Prior to covid you could use ivermectin and your doctor could prescribe it. It was only banned because the word Ivermectin was spoken by Trump but it HAD to remain banned or it would become obvious that the Democrats allowed people to die just so they wouldn't give Trump any credit.

You mean ignoring the propaganda. Talking over your shoulder to real people, normal people; ask yourself why so much is secret, why so much has to be shut down before someone hears it or reads it, why the government and the complicit MSM and social media "fact" checks and shuts down anything that disagrees with the government propaganda. There are many doctors in multiple countries that have saved thousands of lives with Ivermectin. But there are also a few shills creating false documents to show Ivermectin is ineffective. Zach's job is to only cite those paid for shills who are selling the government lies. Eventually the facts will be widely know but the left is hoping that by then they will have a stranglehold on our lives so that we cannot really do anything about it. We will know with certainty that the Democrats killed tens of thousands and hid life saving information to steal an election. By that time Zach will be using a different name and is likely to be pedaling a different scam. It will be too late to reverse the harm that the left will have done and you will be wondering how this all happened and how those who were guilty of the biggest crime in history got away with it. Remember this: Trump was right! Trump was right about everything. They were not after him they were after you and he was just in the way.

You didn't provide any evidence, just assertions. As noted, what you call "propaganda" was a randomized clinical trial. You noted no problems with the study.

It's not my job to do your homework. If you make an assertion it is your responsibility to at least have done some research. Of course I know and everyone here knows that you have done the research but you did it so that you would know how to lie and spread propaganda. Simple as that.

We provided a citation to a randomized clinical trial to support our claim about the lack of efficacy of ivermectin. You, on the other hand, have provided no evidence to support any of your claims.

Correlation does not equal causation. The analysis you present it idiotic at best.
What credentials or experience do you have in science? That's why you believe nonsense b/c you read it on the internet. But no one here wants to see your idiocy. Go away. Bill Barr say Hillary is a criminal. Who knew? I did!
What’s the possibility of a trial? Not very likely. Hillary says she’ll take half of D.C. with her, if she goes down. While her terms are very acceptable to me, to the powers that rule over us, these terms are not acceptable. The only appropriate trial is to gather all of the culprits together under a RICO filing. Hillary, Obama, and the admin state. They were all in cahoots to pull this off by pretending they didn't know what was going on.
The conservative tree house blog covers this better than anyone. The 'college debt relief' picture only starts to come into focus when you start to look at it by state. The state with the highest average student debt isn't a state at all; its Washington, DC, and it's something like $55K. Next up is Mryland, in the high $40K's. Most other states are in the low-mid $30K's. Once you start running down the states you start to see the blue and purple state correlation. Funny how nobody has cross-referenced student debt with individual political affiliation. Somebody needs to.
Florida has an old population which would make their death numbers higher. Granted. They also did well by focusing their efforts on getting vaccines for the elderly. Good on them. However, they were overall well worse than average in deaths per million.
I'm still considering "death" to be an important measure of how well a state did, thanks. I leave feelings about how good things are or aren't to liberals. If people want to make the claim that Floridians held up their economy better or had more fun because they went to restaurants, you can make that argument. You just have to acknowledge that the other side is "more deaths." Count me out. Other states could be highlighted as doing better. Everything we did was wrong. There should have been no shutdowns. Not schools nor restaurants. Hospitals should not have shut down for normal health care. Masks should not have been mandated. ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine should have been used for treatment as well as all other effective treatments. The vaccine doesn't seem to have worked at all, the majority of cases of covid where to the vaccinated. In spite of all efforts everyone was exposed to covid, everyone may have gotten covid and those who were going to die from it did in spite of everything we did. The ONLY accomplishment from all the mandates is we put children back two years in education and socialization and destroyed a couple million business and caused many million personal bankruptcies. It was a cluster fuck of extraordinary proportions and we would have been better off if the federal government had gone on vacation.
The article was about some supposed whistle blower claiming Florida was 'rigging" the death numbers. Turns out she had no evidence of such chicanery. She had made it up.
