Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

I would be willing to wager that this will come to pass.
We face a very grim future. More here: QUOTE: “Governments have all the necessary tools at their disposal to put oil demand into decline in the coming years, which would support efforts to both strengthen energy security and achieve vital climate goals,” the report states. . . . “Instead of opening America back up for domestic energy production, we are told to suffer and do with less and are prescribed the same failed lockdown-style policies we endured for COVID,” Morano said. Morano observed that the “proposed ‘solutions’ to climate change, COVID, – hammer the poor and middle class with more restrictions on travel, less freedom, and even more surrendering of power to unelected government regulators. https://noqreport.com/2022/03/19/top-global-agency-calls-for-lockdowns-to-curb-oil-use/ Whoops.

The goalposts for victory need to be moved. Putin needs a revised theory of victory that excludes the capture of Kyiv QUOTE: The Russian President needs a story line that preserves his presidency, relaxes some of the sanctions strangling his country, and gives the appearance that the massive military failure in Ukraine bore some success for Russia. https://www.smh.com.au/national/putin-needs-a-revised-theory-of-victory-that-excludes-the-capture-of-kyiv-20220317-p5a5j3.html PN-G High School Class of 1979. I've been waiting for years for them to try to cancel the mascot and Indianettes. It's finally happened.
That article had me laughing. It’s not like Indians didn’t really scalp people. But what were they thinking? What the indianettes should have done is dress like trans people and chase children around while chanting gay, gay! That would have made Disney very happy.

Jan 6 compelling narrative...Compelling narratives are a specialty of the dem socialists. Russia, Russia, Russia by 17 intelligence agencies. AGW with the IPCC group think. Ukraine Burisma with the 10% for the big guy and the disinformation laptop. Virus, virus, virus with the malleable data sets for the folded, spindled and mutilated. The Putin gas tax where pipelines and permits were shut down after inauguration but magically cause no price increase until Putin (and the Ukraine) again. And then inflation...there is good inflation but no bad or ugly inflation. And government spending doesn't cause inflation but rids us of inflation.

Elite Flock to Doomsday Bunkers as World Bank Tells Peasant Class NOT to Store Food
https://www.activistpost.com/2022/03/elite-flock-to-doomsday-bunkers-as-world-bank-tells-peasant-class-not-to-store-food.html Nickel's price surge could threaten automakers' ambitious electric-vehicle plans
QUOTE: The price of nickel is surging as investors take stock of the new global reality: Russia, a key supplier of the metal, is now facing extensive sanctions following its invasion of Ukraine. In an unusual step, the London Metal Exchange suspended nickel trading on Tuesday morning after three-month contract prices more than doubled to over $100,000 per ton. Nickel is a critical ingredient in the lithium-ion battery cells used in most electric vehicles sold in — and planned for — the U.S. market. Its abrupt price surge has analysts and investors raising hard questions about automakers’ ambitious electric-vehicle programs. Morgan Stanley auto analyst Adam Jonas has been among the loudest voices raising concerns. In a note published Monday, he said: “As of this writing, nickel is up 67.2% just today, representing around a $1,000 increase in the input cost of an average EV in the U.S.” https://www.cnbc.com/2022/03/08/nickel-price-surge-could-threaten-automakers-ev-plans.html While the price of nickel will surely retreat over time, it's a sterling example of what can happen when you rely on unfriendly nation for inputs. Whether or not you are for sanctions against Russia, the damage to the world economy is real and will only get worse over time. The carnage may start tipping dominoes that lead to the land of unforeseen consequences. What Our Betters Have In Mind For Us In The Era Of Fossil Fuel Suppression Is NO GOOD!! But eight days later, on October 22, 2020, The New York Times, in a story bylined by Adam Goldman, headlined this: "What We Know and Don’t About Hunter Biden and a Laptop"...because they don't want to know and the Post was "IMPURE!!!!!!!!!!" FTA: Sadly, say-one-thing, do-the-opposite isn’t just Biden’s approach to the border: It’s how he rolls on everything, from inflation and soaring energy prices to his “tough” foreign policy and handling COVID. His words are meaningless, while his actions range from hopeless to downright destructive.
To be fair, you can say the same about most of our grifters in DC, it's not just Biden that you can safely bet against meaning a word he says. McConnell and Romney fit right in with the uniparty grifters. I think Romney has a son in the Ukraine oil and gas business just like Pelosi, Biden, and Kerry. I doubt they know anything about the business other than how to poke the gas nozzle into the gas tank. They do provide great access to Congress though.
"Fossil Fuel Suppression" It takes huge amounts of fossil fuel to support solar, wind and EV's. More fossil fuel for each than can be saved by switching to them. What we should do is mandate that all the "green" alternatives be totally manufactured, transported, installed and maintained by "green" powered methods. Can't use fossil fuel to mine or manufacture or transport or anything else related to the "green" infrastructure. The entire "green" industry would fall apart because in fact it depends on fossil fuel to keep the grift going. It would be far better for it to fall apart now while we still have our fossil fuel infrastructure to fall back on than it would for it to collapse like a house of cards after we destroy our fossil fuel infrastructure.
On the horizon is going to be the fight over ethanol. Ethanol was always a grift. It uses about 130% of the fossil fuel it purports to replace. In fact it is nothing more than a gift to farmers so that they will keep voting for congressmen to keep the money flowing. But the fight in the future will be about food. We will be seeing a famine soon. Probably we will still be able to buy food at the supermarket. It will cost more of course but in poor countries the food will disappear (probably sent to richer countries where they turn food into ethanol so they can make believe they are saving the world). When that happens it will be literally a crime against humanity for us to turn corn into fuel while millions starve. But something tells me we will still do it. This is what we are facing https://www.creators.com/read/wayne-allyn-root/03/22/has-one-possibly-rigged-election-destroyed-america-forever-the-odds-are-against-us unless we get Biden, Harris and Pelosi to resign.
