We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
When I was younger, I harvested a bunch of Mussels off the rocks at Hazard Canyon in California. I spent hours cooking a Mussel stew using a popular recipe. It was so bad even the cats wouldn't eat it.
Looks tasty. We have a favorite French restaurant in Richardson Tx (nearly all the staff are French) and they have a great mussels dish, braised in a creamy wine-rich sauce that's to die for - then you soak up all the sauce with fresh-baked French bread. Yum!
Now, for cherry stones, if they're big enough, I just saw a recipe for something called Clams Casino that looks [very innerestin'. Baked on rock salt, bacon included.
