Why Bugs Must Be a Bigger Part of the Human Food Chain

The article goes on to advocate insects in livestock feed. I would speculate that is likely an effort to get the insect industry on solid financial footing before banning animal protein in order to 'save the planet '

I'm so relieved to hear it expressed this way. We've already hit our target! Bugs are a huge part of the human food chain, one might say an intrinsic part. I whole-heartedly endorse their pervasive and tireless work in the provision of food and feedstock. However - I do not agree to elevating them up the food chain and onto the table, or even into the feed trough. Promotion Denied.

I notice that with all this palaver-talk and moral instruction, you don't see anybody on YouTube actually eating any insects to show their devotion to the cause.

Rabbits! They have large litters, mature fast, don't need much room, the food can be cut from your own property, they taste like chicken. They are easy to butcher, can be used in any recipe that calls for chicken. I have eaten a few bugs but even if I hadn't I would feel confident that rabbit meat is better than crickets or cockroaches.

"White men can't jump". It's OK to say that isn't it? Not racist just a fact. Look at the NBA.

So "black teachers can't do math". Why not say that? Instead of saying "due to racist disparities"?

Why is it OK to have "racial disparities" in the NBA but not in teaching? Which is more important; that we block the shot in a game or that we teach children math?

FWIW -- My family has "split" over COVID. Step-daughter is pregnant, and non-vaxed have been dis-invited from her Christmas celebration. Lots of brouhaha over the whole thing too.

I think the number is too big for almost everyone to fathom. 400 billion is a million dollars a second for over 4 days. The fact no one in authority is in prison over this and the news shut the story down is another data point showing we live in an occupied country.

Think about how easily your government weaponized OSHA and with no guilt or worry of what the citizens might think took your rights from you. They could have just as easily used some other federal department to put you in prison, and don't think for a second that isn't going to happen. They did this in the face of science proving their reasons were wrong. They did this while allowing millions of illegal immigrants to come into the country without vaccinations and their ONLY reason for doing that is to replace YOU at the ballot box. Think about the many other atrocities your government has committed in this ginned up "pandemic". Think how easily they weaponized the FBI to take your rights and suppress your civil constitutional choices, and have done this for years even when they "supposedly" didn't have the positions of power. Think about how they weaponized our courts and our federal judges against you. They did this as easily as you might tip a waitress or make any simple decision in life. They didn't have a second thought at all about this usurpation of your rights. They didn't care that OSHA should be about safety and not forcing the New World Order down your throat. They didn't care that the FBI was supposed to be "law enforcement" and not "law breaking". What's next? You don't think internment camps are next and thought police and violence against citizens. Look at Australia and Europe! They are coming for you!

The most insane thing is that these people are pushing "the vaccine" for an endemic, mutating virus. We are never going to beat this thing for the exact same reason we haven't beaten the flu or the common cold. It should be obvious to even somebody as dim as our government "experts" that the reason we keep having these "breakthrough" cases is because we're fighting a slightly different virus every few months. The virus mutates, the vaccine becomes less effective against the new strain, wash, rinse, repeat. It's never going to end and people like Biden and Fauci who keep pushing the idea that if everybody just gets vaccinated we can all return to normal are either morons or big fat liars.

Reducing the spread of the virus early, then mass vaccination, reduces the number of people who will suffer serious health consequences or death due to infection. At some point in the near future, most people will have sufficient immunity, either through vaccination or infection, that the disease will cease to be a threat to society at large. Social measures have saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

Someone might have caught COVID in 2020, been in the hospital on a ventilator, then maybe died. The same person who avoided infection early on, could have then taken the vaccine, avoided infection entirely, or perhaps caught a much less virulent case of the virus with few or no symptoms. Those are radically different outcomes played out hundreds of thousands of times.

"IF" what you claim is true THEN the deaths today would be zero.

The real truth is that anyone who may have escaped being exposed due to a lockdown was simply "ripe" to being exposed after the lockdown ended. If we only lived on an island with a small population we could ban all travel into the country and lockdown forever and the rate of infection would be low... until we were forced to begin living life again and then we would all get infected.

Why would you claim that? Vaccination doesn't confer perfect protection. For the Delta strain, vaccination reduces the chance of infection by 78% and the chance of hospitalization by 90%. Most current hospitalizations and deaths are among the unvaccinated.

But they would be vaccinated, and so have a much lower chance of infection, hospitalization, and death. Also, the current strain may be less dangerous than previous strains, even among those who haven't been vaccinated. Preventing infection early in the pandemic saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

Sorry to hear that. This isn't justice but rather it is simple revenge. If I were a Minneapolis policeman I would quit. Quit in protest of course but more importantly quit because I am not so stupid that I don't see the handwriting on the wall. The best advice I can all police is learn to code, or something.

Of course someone will raise a statue of Duante. As they should I believe because I'm sad to say no one represents blacks better today than the Duante's, the Jacob Blakes, and the other criminals with long rap sheets killed in the act of committing more crimes.

What happened to I have a dream?

There is only one good thing that has come from this period of criminals dying at the hands of police but the police going to jail. That one thing is we now have the perfect answer for any left wing politicians who ask "who needs a 30 round magazine or an assault rifle. Kyle Rittenhouse showed why it was needed and why it will be needed even more as our police are emasculated.

What happens when the police are restrained and the criminals are excused? I think we are going to find out.
