Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

QUOTE: Russia Russia What we do know:
Meanwhile, Russia misses their Trumpushka: https://www.thedailybeast.com/russian-state-tv-drops-deranged-love-letter-to-its-darling-trumpushka-donald-trump And Trump admits obstruction: https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-james-comey-fbi-russia-1656264 And yet Hillary makes all of this look like a Sunday school picnic.
Whataboutism is a fallacy of diversion.
So nice of Zach to confirm his status as a troll, to be ignored going forward.
RJP: So nice of Zach to confirm his status as a troll
Our comment was directly relevant to the topic; that is, unless you consider the topic to be everyone trumpeting the original post. Is the vaccine safe? It is both astonishing and revealing that in the last 11 months there were more reports of vaccine deaths related to Covid shots than to all other vaccines combined during the previous three decades. https://ninetymilesfromtyranny.blogspot.com/2021/12/vaers-data-indicates-covid-vaccines.html this is why so many people do not want to get vaccinated.
Funny thing, any time I see a number quoted like this, I always wonder how that translates to percentages or rates to try to accurately set the context. And vice versa, too. Fr'instance, if people are going along getting their normal vaccinations, and then a worldwide pandemic hits, and then suddenly in addition to the norm, hundreds and hundreds of millions get a new vaccination too, it follows that the raw associated numbers will increase too, even if the percentages don't. So.....wouldn't it be logical to ask what the percentage or rate is? I don't know the answer - I just don't trust the number by itself.
That could well be true but meaningless. What is the satisfaction if your child dies from the vaccine but the stats show the side effects are only a little worse than all the other vaccines? Or probably more accurately your child dies and then you find out that the death rate from the vaccine is incredibly high but your government has been hiding that fact from you. I took the two shots and the booster, I am not anti-vax. But I think that what I see in Australia, Canada Europe and increasingly here is tyrannical and oppressive and we should reject it and remove anyone from office who supported it. I fear this is a test run to see what we will allow them to get away with.
You can't do a better summary than this, via Instapundit.
As Walter Russell Mead wrote in 2017: If Trump were the Manchurian candidate that people keep wanting to believe that he is, here are some of the things he’d be doing: Limiting fracking as much as he possibly could Blocking oil and gas pipelines Opening negotiations for major nuclear arms reductions Cutting U.S. military spending Trying to tamp down tensions with Russia’s ally Iran. “Yep,” Glenn (Reynolds) added in late 2019. “You know who did do these things? Obama. You know who supports these things now? Democrats.” and, by the way, REPORT: Biden Admin Plans On Advising Ukraine To Hand Over Territory To Russia Christopher B: If Trump were the Manchurian candidate
Which is why Russian state media has a sad that Trump is no longer president. Christopher B: REPORT: Biden Admin Plans On Advising Ukraine To Hand Over Territory To Russia That's the problem with relying on secondary sources. The AP is the source for the original story, saying, "The administration officials made no mention of ceding any territory." Rather, there is a move towards implementing the 2015 peace deal which included providing a measure of autonomy concerning health care, police and schools to the Russian-majority breakaway Donbas region. Ukraine has said they are ready to move forward on terms of the 2015 deal. https://apnews.com/article/joe-biden-russia-ukraine-europe-vladimir-putin-8193787ec21ca2aded4a37fa325f07b5 Which is why Russian state media has a sad that Trump is no longer president.
It ain't just the Russian state media. Trump Would Win Rematch With Biden - Less than a third of voters think it would be a good idea for President Joe Biden to run for reelection, and he would lose a rematch to former President Donald Trump by a double-digit margin. Christopher B: It ain't just the Russian state media.
That an early poll shows Trump leading in a hypothetical match-up doesn't address why Russia would prefer "Trumpushka", contrary to the implication of your previous post. Nor did you address the misrepresentation of the primary source. "doesn't address why Russia would prefer "Trumpushka"
Simple, They have read The Art of War and everything they do is to deceive. They were wary of Trump and knew better than to test him. But they love Biden and I think in early January they will invade Ukraine because they know Biden is a push over. Of course it is possible that their threats will push Biden into giving them everything they really want. Time will tell. JustMe: Simple, They have read The Art of War and everything they do is to deceive.
That wouldn't explain why Putin ordered Russian operatives to interfere in the 2016 election to help Trump and damage Clinton. Furthermore, Russian state media is primarily concerned with convincing the Russian public what is in Russia's interests—from the viewpoint of the leadership. They were very excited when Trump won. They were very depressed when Trump lost. {2016} Russian media praises Donald Trump: 'Democracy and human rights are not in his vocabulary' Deputies in Russia's parliament broke into applause at the news Donald Trump had been elected US president . . . state TV channels switched quickly from claims of fraud {2020} Russian Media Mourn: as Putin Acknowledges Biden’s Win—But Say Trump ‘Burned’ U.S. on His Way Out Russia has been messing with our election and our government for years, as long as there has been an internet and before. It was Hillary that used Russia and her Russia connections to try to rig the election, not Trump. While Trump was in office the Democrats used their connection in Russia to continue the fight against Trump and Biden used his Russian connection in the 2020 election.
If you don't understand that Russia/Putin says whatever they think might benefit them and it has zero relation to truth than you understand nothing about global politics. It is axiomatic that most everything Putin says is a lie. It is foolish on your part to use Putin's words as proof of anything and destroys your argument. JustMe: Russia has been messing with our election and our government for years
True enough, but, according to the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee, the Trump campaign *welcomed the help*, and contacts represented a grave counterintelligence threat. JustMe: If you don't understand that Russia/Putin says whatever they think might benefit them and it has zero relation to truth than you understand nothing about global politics. Repeating your position, while ignoring what we posted is not much of an argument. JustMe: It is axiomatic that most everything Putin says is a lie. That betrays a misunderstanding of the nature of lying which is most often camouflaged within a nest of truths. |
