Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Oh, some people are surprised by the foundation collapsing. They thought it was legit.
You really should stop linking to pieces that include bullshit lines about When Russia seized Crimea.
You run the the risk of people confusing you with an ignorant bigoted moron. LatinX is a phrase used by guilty White Liberals who believe that minority groups should operate as monoliths who think, act and believe the same - especially the belief that White people are to blame for everything wrong with the world.
On Dec 7th I always stop to remember that... FDR knew of the attack ahead of time but choose to ignore it knowing that the attack would solidify the American people about going to war. Just remember that when Russia invades Ukraine and China invades Tiawan.
It has only been in recent decades that Russia allowed Ukraine to administer the Crimea due to the easier access from the Ukraine side. With the breakup of the Soviet Union that agreed upon administration ended. The west would be best served by keeping the neocons influence operations out of the Ukraine...and jailing Hunter Biden and old 10% for influence peddling.
In my first assignment in the AF, across the hall in another office was a Ukrainian, Ihor Zayakevich. That was in 1967.
QUOTE: A "Mini-Ice Age" Could Hit Earth By 2030, Scientists Warn Hmm. Even if correct, the expected differential in temperature will be around -0.5°C, which will slow but not stop global warming. After that, the sun will return to its previous state. The effect will be somewhat slower warming followed by somewhat faster warming. QUOTE: “I hope global warning will be overridden by this effect, giving humankind and the Earth 30 years to sort out our pollution,” Zharkova told Sky News, adding that any possible downward impact on global warming will last until 2050s when the Sun's two magnetic waves become active again. “We have to be sorted by that time and prepare everything on Earth for the next big solar activity.” I agree! Nothing will stop global warming except higher taxes and loss of rights.
There's been no warming for 7 years.
And the "faster warming" that you speak of is completely incorrect. Or perhaps you'd like to explain the science behind your assertions. Otherwise, it's just another example that You are a liar. DrTorch: There's been no warming for 7 years.
Since 2014, UAHv5.6 TLT is showing +0.748°C per decade; NOAA is showing +0.33°C per decade. The trends are not statistically significant for such a short period, but shows that it is more likely to have warmed than not. DrTorch: And the "faster warming" that you speak of is completely incorrect. The signal from change in insolation is added to the underlying warming trend. When the signal is removed, the original trend remains. As of end of Nov 2021, based on the HadCRUT4 data, there has been no global warming since March 2014.
You just post numbers b/c you have no understanding. That's why it's a lie when you write that the data aren't statistically significant. You don't even know what that means, nor what it would look like. You are a stalking, lying know-nothing POS. And I show it every time. DrTorch: As of end of Nov 2021, based on the HadCRUT4 data, there has been no global warming since March 2014.
It's a very short and very cherry-picked period. But as you consider HadCRUT4 to be authoritative, this is the probability of warming: From to present, % 2014, 52% 2013, 65% 2012, 76% 2010, 85% 2005, 92% 2000, 97% 1995, 95% 1990, 100%

QUOTE: Why Absolutely No One Is Surprised Hillary Clinton’s Influence-Peddling Foundation Collapsed The Clinton Foundation has not collapsed. Contributions to the Foundation peaked in 2014, when Clinton was not in office, and then declined when she became the expected candidate for president. However, assets of the Foundation have remained stable, and the Foundation continues its charitable work. https://www.charitywatch.org/charities/clinton-foundation Contributions peaked in 2009, not 2014.
https://dailycaller.com/2021/12/04/clinton-foundation-hillary-clinton-bill-clinton-decrease-donations-corruption/ Giving ramped up in 2013-2015 in expectation of buying influence from a potential president. More lies from you. DrTorch: Contributions peaked in 2009, not 2014.
You are correct. There was a second peak, but 2009 was the highest year for contributions. Note that contributions are often committed before the year they are received, and that the contributions decreased significantly during Clinton's term as Secretary of State, then increased again when she didn't hold office, then decreased again when she became a serious contender for president. Year, millions $ 2006, 136 2007, 124 2008, 184 2009, 242 2010, 137 2011, 56 2012, 51 2013, 144 2014, 173 2015, 108 2016, 63 2017, 27 2018, 24 2019, 30 2020, 16 You are correct.
Yes. As usual. I keep pointing out it's not hard to catch your lies. And no one needs to "note" anything. That's just you pretending you added something meaningful. Note- you didn't. DrTorch: That's just you pretending you added something meaningful.
Indeed, we did add meaningful content. We showed that contributions to the Clinton Foundation decreased when Clinton became Secretary of State, rose again when she left that office, then declined again when she became a serious candidate for president. Previously, we linked to Charity Watch showing the Clinton Foundation is "top rated" with a 75% program percentage. The Foundation has substantial assets and is not "collapsed".

QUOTE: A good Tweet . . . 20% of the population is trying to indoctrinate the other 80% to believe that 2000 years of history, structure, cultural norms, and philosophy is suddenly wrong Suddenly? Then there is this related tweet on the same page: QUOTE: This racial tension did not start under Trump, it started under Obama. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Web007rzSOI Completely wrong. Just another post where you provide links that are red herrings or that don't serve your assertion. Rhetoric that doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
That's b/c you are a liar (and an know-nothing). Completely predictable.
Of course you fail to mention your argument is simply "Is so." Typical of a liar who got caught. You think posting links (either incorrect in fact, or fallacious in content) serves to make your point, then expect others to waste their time addressing it. You want to make a point, then do the work. Posting links doesn't count. Of course you are a liar and this is the best you can do. DrTorch: Of course you fail to mention your argument is simply "Is so."
We provided a number of specific historical examples of how the "structure, cultural norms, and philosophy" of society have been called into question and then forced to change. Indeed, the history of the last 2000 years has largely been a process of calling into question the "structure, cultural norms, and philosophy" of society.

The promotion of racism began under Gramsci, Marcuse, and Gang in using race and gender as substitutes for class in Critical Theory. Class just wasn't cutting it in the US. The academy was the first and most important target for the revamped theory. It is the story of the Frankfort School and how it spread like cancer throughout the academy. It is easy to see the results today...race and gender grifters throughout the education establishment PreK thru PhD.
indyjonesouthere: The promotion of racism began under Gramsci, Marcuse, and Gang in using race and gender as substitutes for class in Critical Theory.
Oh, gee whiz. QUOTE: U.S. Supreme Court, 1857: {The Negro} had for more than a century before been regarded as beings of an inferior order, and altogether unfit to associate with the white race, either in social or political relations; and so far inferior, that they had no rights which the white man was bound to respect; and that the negro might justly and lawfully be reduced to slavery for his benefit. And the Marxist structure, cultural norms and philosophy of the academy are being called into question today and the elitist are not liking it. You are promoting racism and the Smolleting black community spends way too much time faking it. That community is its own worst enemy...FBI statistics and education outcomes confirm that.
indyjonesouthere: And the Marxist structure, cultural norms and philosophy of the academy are being called into question today and the elitist are not liking it.
Well, at least you abandoned your claim that the "promotion of racism began under Gramsci". Jim Crow was still alive and well when Gramsci died.

The global warming (AGW) argument is very much like the argument that the sun and planets revolved around the earth. In 1633, Italian philosopher, astronomer and mathematician Galileo Galilei faced charges of heresy for advocating Copernican theory, which holds that the Earth revolves around the Sun.
Man is not powerful enough to cause global warming and in fact the global warming we are experiencing is the inevitable result of the end of the global cooling around 1850. What else would you expect if a global cooling period were to end?? Of course it would get warmer, duh! The scientists know this, intelligent and educated people know this and the global elites running this grift know this. But the reward if they can pass this grift off on an uneducated populace is too great to pass up. If you give up your wealth, your freedom and your future we may be able to stop or slow global warming. That is the grift in a nutshell. And they will travel in 80 corporate jets to get together to discuss the grift and put out more propaganda for the useful idiots to parrot... OneGuy: The global warming (AGW) argument is very much like the argument that the sun and planets revolved around the earth. That's right. The Church forced Galileo to abjure his claims about heliocentrism. Meanwhile, scientists outside Italy continued to research and find support for the theory. OneGuy: Man is not powerful enough to cause global warming Someone doesn't understand exponential growth. Consider a flask with a single bacterium that doubles daily. In 30 days the flask becomes full. At what point is the flask half full? OneGuy: and in fact the global warming we are experiencing is the inevitable result of the end of the global cooling around 1850. The evidence strongly argues against that position. The orbital cycles that cause changes in insolation would predict a slight cooling. The physics of the greenhouse effect predict significant warming. https://19january2017snapshot.epa.gov/sites/production/files/2016-07/models-observed-human-natural.png OneGuy: What else would you expect if a global cooling period were to end?? Of course it would get warmer, duh! Well, duh. That's not an argument, but a tautology. Why did it cool? Why did it stop cooling? Why did it warm? OneGuy: The scientists know this The vast majority of climate scientists and scientists working in related fields recognize the fact of anthropogenic global warming. Indeed, the outstanding question isn't that the Earth is warming (it is), or that human activity is the primary cause of that warming, but the question of how much warming is to be expected and how that warming will affect regional climates. Oh no, the KiddieZ are in their AGW prognostication mode.
Exponential growth? Gee whiz. |
