Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

That's remarkably exciting for Shaheen. She is usually a mere cipher, providing one of the most reliable votes for the Democratic leadership without causing any trouble for them.
Good thing Shaheen is a Democrat so that her statement cannot be interpreted as a threat any more than Chuck Schumer's.
One of the students who protested Earnest is named Jihad. This stuff practically writes itself.
The 'Whitewash' story is an interesting display of exactly how the press runs cover for its colleagues, even on the opposite team. The two most egregious 'Russiagate' offenders were the Post and the NYT - their reporting was picked up nationwide and internationally by other outlets. Not a day went by without new lurid headlines about impending doom.
Now that the disclosures are tumbling out about this pure confection, instead of confessing their shortcomings or even pointing out how badly they misinformed the public, instead of covering this subject as a separate story, both have quietly gone back and edited their own previously-published stories in the historical archives, for posterity - so that they don't look quite as ineptly biased and partisan - and retrospectively wrong. And one of them has added a nice little editor's statement, which no straight-forward search will ever turn up. They are re-writing their own history and whitewashing the historically-accurate picture, so that future researchers will struggle to discover just how poisonous and incompetent they really are. No mention of that corrupt behavior in this supposed opposition piece here, though. If pro-abortionists want a revolution, nothing should be easier than enacting laws in all 50 states making abortion legal. It's not as though the S. Ct. were getting ready to ban abortion; they are likely at most to kick it to the states.
The truth is, they're afraid the people aren't completely behind them, at least when it comes to late-term abortions. QUOTE: RUSSIA HOAX WHITEWASH ERA BEGINS What we do know:
{xposted from previous thread} JustMe: Well, there it is! Whitewashing.
The media certainly hyped a number of allegations. However, that doesn't mean the Russia-Trump connection was a hoax. As we noted at the time, Russia would never have trusted a direct connection to a mercurial and unreliable Donald Trump. Nor is it unusual for nefarious sources to act nefariously, so we would expect a lot of misinformation and misdirection to be in the mix. However, as they shared common goals, the Trump campaign welcomed Russian interference. The constant refrain of "Russia Hoax" is meant to erase the very real connections, and it only serves to address the interests of Russian oligarchs. They DO appreciate your help! Always with the efforts to mislead from the truth.
You are a liar zachriel, reality proves that repeatedly. DrTorch: Always with the efforts to mislead from the truth.
And yet you didn't point to any particular claim, but just waved your hands as if the pesky facts will just go away. You might start with the claim that Manafort provided internal campaign data to a Russian agent, or the claim Roger Stone was convicted by a jury of obstruction, making false statements, and witness tampering. Do you contest these claims? Stone was certainly convicted of those charges, but that doesn't mean he was actually guilty or that justice was served, or that his persecution and prosecution were not arbitrary and completely politically motivated.
Mueller Investigated Julian Assange, WikiLeaks, And Roger Stone For DNC Hacks. From Buzzfeed, of all places! Roger Stone was victim of political prosecution RJP: Stone was certainly convicted of those charges, but that doesn't mean he was actually guilty or that justice was served, or that his persecution and prosecution were not arbitrary and completely politically motivated.
The jury who heard the evidence disagrees. However, we'll consider your links. RJP: Mueller Investigated Julian Assange, WikiLeaks, And Roger Stone For DNC Hacks Huh? Obstruction is not inconsistent with not being able to prosecute for other crimes. Indeed, they noted, "there were 'factual uncertainties' that were 'the subject of ongoing investigations' by the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia." So, that link does not support a miscarriage of justice. QUOTE: Harmeet Dhillon: Roger Stone was victim of political prosecution — Trump right to commute his prison term There is nothing in that link either, an opinion piece by a Republican operative, that undermines the jury findings. That Trump was at the center of the proven obstruction only underscores the inherent problem with the commutation.

Aw FFS, KiddieZ. Both Rosenstein and Mueller testified under oath that there was NO collusion (*none, nada, nyet*) between the Russians and Trump or anyone in his campaign before, during, and/or after the 2016 elections.
Hmmm, should we believe them or some stupid little trollZ who've been caught lying about this before? Fuck off KiddieZ! And here are parts 1 and 3 of the series at Powerline, part 2 of which is linked to in BD's original post. Zach, be sure to give them all a read:
RUSSIA HOAX WHITEWASH ERA BEGINS (1) RUSSIA HOAX WHITEWASH ERA BEGINS (3) RJP: And here are parts 1 and 3 of the series at Powerline
Nothing in those links calls into question any of the findings we detailed above. We also addressed the problem of using questionable sources. Nefarious sources may often act nefariously. Russia intentionally creates counter-narratives by mixing good and bad information so as to provide plausible deniability—not just for Russia—but for Americans who are intent on amplifying Russian disinformation that confirms their preconceptions. What we also know:
mudbug: What we also know . . .
None of the your questionable Whataboutisms are relevant to the Trump-Russia connection we noted above. So Rosenstein and Mueller committed perjury during the Congressional hearings?
Is that what the KiddieZ are implying? Y'all have tried this shit before and everything you reposted again has already been debunked or proven irrelevant. Y'all are just flat out dishonest. Again Fuck Off KiddieZ. You are generally correct. Most of those items have to do with worse actual actions that support Russia by the same people who ginned up the Russia hoax.
There is an exception. Why would Obama make sure that Putin knew that Obama would be "more flexible" if he were re-elected? To let Putin know (quietly) that it is in his interest that he, Obama, is re-elected. (wink) mudbug: Most of those items have to do with worse actual actions that support Russia by the same people who ginned up the Russia hoax.
Most are distortions, but they are still just whataboutisms. mudbug: Why would Obama make sure that Putin knew that Obama would be "more flexible" if he were re-elected? Obama's comment was inappropriate, but just another whataboutism.

Seth Rich is likely the DNC "hacker". Assange has the information and neither the DNC, Hillary, FBI, or the CIA want that released. Burr (rino) and Warner (deep state) leaked information to the press through their employee who dropped it into the lap of a media whore in order to get it to the public. Russia, Russia, Russia doesn't exist except in the minds of the disturbed Hillary thug club. The entire Russia scam is the best reason ever to rip civil service protection from the malignant government employee racket. There is no honest, functional government department that maintains any ethical foundation.
indyjonesouthere: Seth Rich is likely the DNC "hacker".
That is incorrect. We have the exact Bitly URL used to phish the Clinton campaign and its connection to Russian hackers. In addition, the hackers had a momentary problem with their VPN, which revealed their location at GRU headquarters on Grizodubovoy St in Moscow. And this is just what is available publicly. You have the FBI/CIA narrative. That was dispelled at Conservativetreehouse long ago and how it was done by the incompetent bureaus. They are scared shitless by Assange and will try to assassinate him just as they got rid of Phillip Haney and Seth Rich.
indyjonesouthere: You have the FBI/CIA narrative.
The information we provided is publicly available, though it is supported by U.S. intelligence. The Seth family wishes you would cease dragging him into your conspiracy theories.

The Seth Rich family wants to keep their other son alive and they do that by remaining quiet. Those 17 US intelligence agencies lied their asses off and the intelligence contractor illegally accessed government intelligence files. You don't "remember" any of that even though Brennan and other intelligence officials lied to Congress. Later they even changed the rules during the Ukraine fiasco to allow second hand information to be delivered to Congress. Change rules and change definitions whenever necessary is the admin state policy. No one yet has been accountable for faking the FISA apps and all the applicants as well as the judges such as Boasberg. The fake FISA apps were submitted three times and none of those involved paid a price as of yet. Only one lawyer from the lawfare group got a law license suspended for one year for changing the meaning of a memo. So much for russia, russia, russia. It was hillary, hillary, hillary.

Numerous internet sleuths confirmed that the CIA/FBI version of the "hack" was impossible as the download speeds matched a download to a thumb drive but the internet was far too slow to accomplish the task in the time allowed. The FBI/CIA need far better techs to pull that stunt off. That single event on download speeds is what blew up their narrative and why they need to keep Assange inaccessible to investigators. You do know that neither Mueller or lawfare touched that information. The DOJ could easily investigate that but they won't do a thing about it. Fire the entirety of the admin state.

Heh. First of all, the download wasn't too fast for a broadband internet connection, even in Romania. Not only that, but the time for the download may only represent time to copy the latest copy made, which could be the original downloader putting it on a thumb drive to take upstairs to the Russian agent in charge or across an internal network. Finally, the embedded dates are wrong, indicating that the hacked files that were released were copied from previous versions.

Weive been over this before. The Hillary camp along with the FBI/CIA desperately need this to be a Russia hack in order to keep their illegal spying on Trump out of the news and keep them out of jail. Another source for the Hillary hoax is the Anthony Weiner laptop. (Dems have a laptop crime problem) Now I wonder where that laptop could be...seems the DOJ/FBI have had plenty of time to "study" it by now. And you are wrong about the download time requirements, only a thumb drive would work...and Assange has ALL that information. Russia, Russia, Russia was just Hillary, Hillary, Hillary and the crooked DC admin state. Fire the admin state!!!

indyjonesouthere: And you are wrong about the download time requirements, only a thumb drive would work.
The download was at about 180 mbps (megabits per second). In 2016, the average download rate in Bucharest was 90 mbps, but you could always get more, and 1000 mbps was widely available in Europe. And that's just for households. Enterprises, such as the FSB could obviously have more bandwidth, much more. It's inane to base on argument on a claim that Russian intelligence couldn't download much faster than an average household in Bucharest. Furthermore, the claim is based on metadata concerning the last modification of the file, but the file may have been copied many times before the final file was publicly released, so the initial download speed is irrelevant. https://twitter.com/berniesanders/status/705171336381923328

Some of the comments to Bernie's 2016 tweet are funny:
Bernie: Today, people living in Bucharest, Romania have access to much faster Internet than most of the US. That’s unacceptable and must change. Wag: we need to invade Romania and take their internet Wag: Don't worry! The Romanian Government is already sending you humanitarian trucks transporting routers and old porn magazines. Wag: Everybody in Romania is making fun of you on the internet. I'll send you a poscard with the tweets so you can read it sooner. Wag: What can we say, we have one of the fastest internet speed in the world, you have Donald Trump. Enjoy. Wag: Anyway, good luck beating 1gbps with less than $10 / month :)

The Media Inverts Reality in the Kenosha and Waukesha Cases. THIS is why I hate and totally distrust the "media". Among all the others it/they invert.
