Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Good article on the Omicron variant. I think the informal word is that it less deadly but more transmissible, and I had not realised that is not even partially established yet. It's the impression people have from looking at the numbers.
I do like that the virologist admits the less than stellar effectiveness of the vaccine against Delta ... explaining how it evades its protections ... then talks about how unexpectedly different Omicron is than Delta ... so many mutations ... BUT, of course, closes the article with the urgent plea to vaccinate. LOL!
Instead of putting a dollar in the Salvation Army bucket, try putting in a little note telling them how much you appreciate their new direction. Considering their legacy mission with the down-trodden misfortunates in our society, it's really sad to see them taking a course bent on targeting, division, and shaming; the opposite of 'open arms'.
They should know that it's not enough to 'quietly withdraw' the offending manifesto. They need to remove these people from their organization, expose and publicly humiliate them just as they intended for the targeted ones, and re-state the objectives of their mission. "Lower vaccination rates among many countries means that there are still a lot of susceptible hosts out there for the virus"
My double vaxd 83 year old father in law and mother in law both have had covid and spread it to other vaxd and unvaxed people. Something is rotten in Denmark and its not the fish. Oh and since then my father in law has gotten it again! So an 83 yr old double vax has had covid twice. Now, granted his illness was not life threatening, but vax people are contracting and spreading it like crazy
If it only saves one child.
“According to a cost-benefit analysis conducted by Toby Rogers, PhD in the 5 to 11 age range, 117 healthy kids will have to die of vaccine-related side effects in order to save one child from perishing of [Chinese] Covid 19.” https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/12/children_are_the_faultline_in_the_covid_vaccine_narrative_that_exposes_the_fraud.html Gotta break a few eggs... That's why it's not worth reading American Thinker. That's not what the research says. It's a guess by someone with letters after his name. Cost-benefit analysis is a good thing, but it is also easily abused according to the assumptions people make. AT is intentionally trying to make people panic.
Let me ask you flat out: you only want to hear bad things about vaccines. You want them not to work and will follow any cockamamie idea to show they don't. Why is that? And libdis, single examples are not science, they are unreliable stories from people I can't trace. It's all a guess. It has all been guesses since Jan 2020. Most of the guesses have been wrong but not just wrong but spectacularly damaging to our economy and freedom. I think my guess is better than Fauci's.

QUOTE: AVI: That's not what the research says. And what research would that be? What does it say? Is it produced by the drug manufacturers? Please enlighten those of us who don't share your outstanding ability to reject research you don’t like or don't get or don't read.

Almost none of the research is produced by the drug manufacturers at this point. That is the sort of convenient assumption I am talking about. You just wave your hands in the air and assume that the other guys are all just getting paid for this, but you, the smart one, is able to see through all that. If only the rest of us were able to exercise just a smidgen of your suspicion and intelligence, eh?
Check the very thorough, and not one-sided discussion at Astral Star Codex. Oh, you never heard of him? I'm shocked. I warn you you might actually have to pay attention for more than a couple of minutes. Then you can answer the direct question about your own insight into your own motivation, which you avoided. Stand and deliver.

Libdis: So an 83 yr old double vax has had covid twice. Now, granted his illness was not life threatening, but vax people are contracting and spreading it like crazy
As they contracted COVID even after having been infected, it means natural infection was not sufficient to provide complete immunity. That indicates that they have a poor immune response, or are losing it quickly. Everybody will and must be exposed to the virus. There's really no other way through this. Effective therapeutics for those with an aggressive immune response is probably the best answer at this point. Live your life, stop worrying and push back on vax mandates. Vexing should be a personal risk/reward decision.
I've been saying that for a year or more.
Before Trump was ousted those on the right told me that everyone should get vaccinated to protect the weak. Now that the left has embraced vaccination mandates those very same people tell me that vaccines are poisons designed to kill everyone... Meanwhile the leftists who were violently opposed to vaccination last year are now all in favour of it. Politics, yugh. Now that F.J.Biden has reimplemented two of Trumps Wuhan Flu\immigration policies - travel bans from Africa and remain in Mexico - both of which he derided as racist, will he apologize and admit he was wrong? Admit Trump isn’t a racist? Can the completion of the border wall be next? Maybe Mexico should have similar policies: Remain in Honduras. Remain in Haiti. Remain in Afghanistan etc. etc. At least have a crucial conversation with Mexico, about their highway to America pass through Mexico system.
The 'most legitimate state on earth is Isreal'
Signed, A Jew Maybe it is, maybe not but a non Jewish conclusion would be more credible. I'd guess there's a number of others who'd argue this conclusion. FYI, I have no issue with Isreal as a nation. They do seem rich enough to fund their own Irondome defense system. Conclusion from watching Biden administration: Trump was right about everything.
Lithium Prices Shoot Up, Disrupting Plans for Electric Car Manufacturers
Those of us that understand markets could see this coming. QUOTE: Car manufacturers are finding it increasingly pricier to manufacture electric vehicles (EV) as the costs of procuring lithium, one of the main components found in every commercial EV battery, has shot up almost 280 percent since the start of the year. The demand for electric vehicles has pushed up demand for the metal, and supply has not been able to keep pace. Lithium is a vital ingredient for rechargeable batteries. The price hike will not only impact vehicles but also mobile phones and laptops. https://www.theepochtimes.com/lithium-prices-shoot-up-disrupting-plans-for-electric-car-manufacturers_4136926.html?utm_source=partner&utm_campaign=badblue I imagine larger government subsidies for electric cars will be in order. QUOTE: Will France Save the West? Yeah, pretty racist. We'll start at the end. QUOTE: ponder also the use of the second movement of Beethoven’s 7th Symphony, which Beethoven reportedly wrote as an ode of sorts to Napoleon’s campaign against Russia, as background music Beethoven was against what he saw as Napoléon's betrayal of the ideals of the French Revolution, and of his continued suppression of liberty. Here is the cover for the 3rd Symphony whereon Beethoven crossed out the dedication to Napoléon when he heard that the French leader had declared himself emperor. Sinfonia Eroica QUOTE: You look at your screens and they speak to you in a language that is strange, and in the end foreign. France was a colonial power. Most modern non-European immigrants to France have come from countries France had colonized, such as Algiers and Morocco. People often have family and contacts in both France and in their home country. Keep in mind that French ethnic identity is itself a conglomerate of different ethnicities: Greek, Celt, Latin, German, Basque, Norse. This process of different people and cultures mixing and combining is a part of the human condition. Your race card has bern declined. Please present anorher form of argument.
Christopher B: Please present anorher form of argument.
It wasn't a form of ⋆argument⋆, which would be "You're a racist, so you are wrong." Rather, it's a ⋆conclusion⋆ reached by referencing the content of the article. We noted that most non-European immigrants to France are from former colonies. That implies a close connection to those countries and peoples. We also noted that French ethnicity itself is an amalgam of many different peoples and cultures. If you prefer a Gallic reference; Chauvin. This virus is strikingly different from other viruses. I assume that is because this virus was weaponized in a Wuhan by the CCP with the intent of creating a killer virus. It is marginally successful and since it hasn't run it's course (and may never, it may simply be with us forever killing a few million people every year) we don't yet know how deadly it is.
The vaccine isn't working. The data isn't all in yet but it appears that the vaccine simply cannot prevent infection or reinfection or re:reinfection etc. It is claimed that the vaccine does prevent serious consequences from infection/reinfection but the proof is thin since vaccinated people are dying in all our hospitals even as we praise vaccine success. But wait, it gets worse. This vaccine, itself not the covid, has killed more people than all the vaccines in history put together. why is that? Why are our government and media hiding that fact? Why in tyhe face of this do they double down and try to vaccinate more and more people? Why vaccinate children? Why, unless the deaths and chaos is the intended result??? OneGuy: This virus is strikingly different from other viruses.
Actually, it's just one of many coronaviruses. The possibility of a global pandemic was considered to not only be likely, but inevitable. OneGuy: The vaccine isn't working. The vaccine is reducing the transmission of the virus, as well as reducing hospitalization and death. However, the vaccine is not sufficient, especially when so many people are not vaccinated. OneGuy: This vaccine, itself not the covid, has killed more people than all the vaccines in history put together. There is no evidence of that. There are rare side effects, but the mortality rate is very low. This virus was engineered to be very transmissible AND to mutate. It is very different from other viruses by design.
The vaccine simply does not work. "Working" means that you do not get infected with the virus again and especially not infected again and again. There is sufficient evidence even though the pharmaceutical companies and the governments have hidden it. A recent study in England show 100 deaths from blood clots in a three month period from one specific vaccine. NOT all the deaths from blood clots, NOT all the deaths from blood clots even from this specific vaccine, and NOT counting the deaths from other vaccine induced trama. Estimates range from over 10,000 to 100,000 deaths worldwide. It could be dramatically higher but we don't know because our governments are intentionally hiding the data. WHy is that? Regardless of your belief or doubt about the massive side effects why would 100% of democratic governments be hiding this from us? What are they afraid of? Knowing what they know why are they continuing to mandate the vaccine? What is their real agenda if it isn't to stop the virus??? Why do they pay bots like you to spread their lies and propaganda??? You keep making claims, but consistently fail to produce evidence to support those claims.
OneGuy: This virus was engineered to be very transmissible AND to mutate. Respiratory diseases tend to be very transmissible in humans because humans breathe and because humans are highly social animals. The mutation rate is similar to many other viruses. OneGuy: It is very different from other viruses by design. In what way is it "different?" Please be specific. OneGuy: "Working" means that you do not get infected with the virus again and especially not infected again and again. No vaccine offers perfect protection, for instance, two shots of the polio vaccine are only 90% effective. OneGuy: A recent study in England show 100 deaths from blood clots in a three month period from one specific vaccine. What is the background rate of blood clots in the population under consideration? Mahase, Covid-19: AstraZeneca vaccine is not linked to increased risk of blood clots, finds European Medicine Agency, The BMJ 2021. New study and warning from American Heart Association: mRNA vaccines dramatically increase risk of developing heart diseases from 11% to 25%
"What is the background rate of blood clots in the population under consideration?" The study exposed the underlying problem, you should look it up it is really interesting. It seems that if the vaccine is inadvertently injected in a way that puts it into the blood stream and not just in the muscle that because the vaccine is based on the common cold virus your immune system attack it in the blood and the immune cells create a small cluster around the vaccine. THEN your red blood cells are attracted "like a magnet" to this small cluster making a clot which is then free to circulate until it creates a blockage. Interesting huh!! Who would have thought? Tomorrow we will learn how the vaccine cause myocarditis. OneGuy: American Heart Association: mRNA vaccines dramatically increase risk of developing heart diseases from 11% to 25%
There's nothing on the news page for the American Heart Association: https://www.heart.org/en/news/coronavirus-news Here's what they say on their COVID FAQ: "As of mid-October 2021, experts had identified 47 cases of TTS out of over 15.2 million doses given of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine." https://www.heart.org/en/coronavirus/coronavirus-questions/questions-about-covid-19-vaccination OneGuy: The study exposed the underlying problem, you should look it up it is really interesting. Are you referring to Gundry, Mrna COVID Vaccines Dramatically Increase Endothelial Inflammatory Markers and ACS Risk as Measured by the PULS Cardiac Test: a Warning, Circulation 2021? There's already problems with the paper. As noted by the American Heart Association: QUOTE: Soon after publication of the above abstract in Circulation, it was brought to the American Heart Association Committee on Scientific Sessions Program’s attention that there are potential errors in the abstract. Specifically, there are several typographical errors, there is no data in the abstract regarding myocardial T-cell infiltration, there are no statistical analyses for significance provided, and the author is not clear that only anecdotal data was used. I just learned that according to house rules a committee is required to have a ranking minority member in order to be able to subpoena someone. In other words they have no legal grounds to prosecute anyone who refuses the subpoena. This is going to be interesting.
Anon: I just learned that according to house rules a committee is required to have a ranking minority member in order to be able to subpoena someone. In other words they have no legal grounds to prosecute anyone who refuses the subpoena.
Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming is the ranking minority member. While a committee may authorize the chair to issue subpoenas in consultation with the ranking minority member, a committee can always issue a subpoena by majority vote. Ayeah. Note all the weasel words throughout the article.
Here's a translation (having worked in the squalid muck of medical research for years as a mathematician/statistician, they are easy to recognize - (YAEDM, - yet another Engineer doing work as a mathematician. Variant of YAPDE.)): See if you can spot them in the following excerpts: "...larger number of mutations in the Omicron variant may mean..." " ...(I study)... to better understand..." "...to the emergence of the variant are not yet clear..." "...(domestic and wild animals) possible source of variants ..." (Good way to get people to get rid of their pesky planet killing pets, no??) "...we also cannot rule out..." "...reason why researchers believe..." "Research suggests that a possible explanation..." ALL of which translate to 'variants' (see what I did there?) of "We don't fuching know. But we're afraid to admit it." If you turned that article into a weasel word bingo drinking game you'd be drunk before you got to the third paragraph. The only statement in the entire article, with some ring of truthiness is... "...We simply don't know yet...." Yes. I have swallowed the black pill, and although threw it up a few times over the past couple of years, it is now digested. We are so screwed. Thanks all you fuching globalist bastardos. Hope that you reap what you have sown. |
