I am more interested in the ways that “COVID,” the meme (expressed in quotes), can be used to strengthen the Nation state, realign the Anglosphere and achieve important global policy objectives for the English-speaking world.

It is believed that the meme “COVID” is a double-edged sword that is safest to all when it remains in its sheath. Swing it one way, and it must accuse Xi’s China of bioterror and threaten to launch a new trans-Pacific war. Swing it in the other way, and it forces America’s Deep State to take a hard look at its serial failures to impose solutions to real problems in the real world, and to finally cut the fat.

However, if one surveys the emerging picture in November 2012, that clever ‘double-edged’ cliché is beginning to lose its edge. Instead, “COVID” is more like Muriatic Acid which etches unprotected glass but leaves the wax-covered letters to rise in relative relief. Indeed “COVID” appears to cut mainly in a profitable direction for the Republican citizen, our Christian heritage, and for our Nation, by etching away at the unshielded social and governmental mal-investments of the past five decades, while leaving its fundamental Common-Law substrate intact.

Six examples of the positive trends ignited by ”COVID” globally are:
1. It stimulated new interest in protecting the Nation state as a bulwark against transmitted disease, and correspondingly reenergized the defense of national boundaries and polities.
2. It reinforced private and public corporations' methods for discriminating against uninvited newcomers, apostates and perceived imposters.
3. It cast new doubts on centralized bureaucracies charged with protecting citizens' health and welfare.
4. It indicted the urban, Cosmopolitan Elite's frivolity in political activism and underlined their serial ineptitudes. (After the drinking straw bans of 2014, how many sea turtles are dying from discarded dust masks now?)
5. It is reeducating the polities of the West about the importance of our traditional system of closed campuses like hostels, hospitals and wards, designed to solve the problem of comorbidity .
These campuses sequester the vulnerable and half-formed away from the regular population and thus permit the thriving, productive citizens to conduct their lives and commerce unfettered, outside.
6. It has reengaged America’s Toqueville-an civil society. Citizens’ oversight of school boards and private audits of elections and government contracting will only increase.

After weighing 24-months of public blather on the topic of COVID, it is these meta-effects of "the Virus," and their steady corrosion of the designs and barricades of the enemies of heritage America, that interest me most today.

“COVID,” the meme, is shorthand for “Siege Mentality,” or SM. And when SM grips an atomized society such as ours, it can restore the groups' sense of cohesion. Epidemic hysterias give these groups permission to exclude the foreign and the new (Biden’s travel bans are an exciting new example of this in action). And any new 'shocks' to the system, even if evidence proves they are contrived, are encouraged because they only harden the protective 'rind' around the group. This ‘cauterization’ is beneficial to established sects and societies that strive to differentiate their members from the larger demos, such as most credentialed societies, U.S. tribal reservations, and religious orders. Used expertly, COVID’s Cauterization Effect promises to protect citizens in the far flung Anglosphere, too, from the deprivations of globalism, like mass migration, supply chain issues, influence peddling and international crime.

Simultaneously the siege mentality drives a migration of people and talent out of these same groups. This churning of talent is a reaction to both the group’s official attempts at enforcing its bossy regimes, as well as to the drip-drip-drip oppression of sub rosa scolding inherent in societies that are being compressed under the hysteria. Think of the depressed CPA who just quit his mask-mandated, diversity-trained Department of Defense job in Tuscon, to freelance mask-free and happy in Wickenburg. This movement of talent away from the perpetually beseiged groups – usually government agencies or NGO’s - towards the freedom of the private economy is salutary because it frees those people to use their talents in venues that suit them better, and puts pressure on the cauterized groups to reject the constant drift of “woke” diversity hires, health edicts and false crises falling like snow from above.

When we look back on this in 50 years, no honest list of the impetuses behind the coming realignments will omit COVID's role in the global reshuffle. And this observer has concluded early-on that its influence overall will be judged Good by American patriots and Anglophile national historians alike.

The social costs of home health care are laid bare for all to see. The rise of out-patient procedures and elderly home health-care/hospice has demolished these campuses' sanitary walls – if our medical societies are honest, COVID will force a reexamination of these tag-and-release campaigns.
