We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I had a friend who repeatedly told me this was "just the flu" about a year ago. He died of covid.
What do you think he would say to you now?
Dying to see what your excuse is. Because I already know you are incapable of changing your mind just becsuse the facts are against you.

Wife & I provably got covid last November. Nasty for a couple of weeks but we (in our late 70's) recovered. We have natural immunity. Have never stopped getting on with life. In Florida, that is easy to do thankfully to a great governor.
I have found this English doctor's analysis of various COVID topics very enlightening, and he has managed, in his review of studies, to stay strictly within the content guidelines and thus avoid being scrubbed from the YouTube universe. If you are paying attention his messages are clear, though in a subtle English way.
Here he is discussing the efficacy of Merck's new anti-viral drug Mulnupiravir, comparing it to Ivermectin, and how they both work. He provides the references to everything he is discussing so that one can follow up on their own

Zerohedge is cherry-picking facts, as usual. Do not believe anything from that site. Florida is indeed doing well. But Texas, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arizona, Arkansas, the Carolinas - those are no longer southern states? Who knew?
The supposedly "unknown" long-term effects of the vaccines are nonexistent. The real effects, short and long-term of getting the illness are quite real. We have only lost 750,000 people to the disease (yes, I can easily defend that number, and have heard and easily shot down the attacks on it many times), so that does mean most of us won't die from it. Most of us won't die of drowning either, but it doesn't mean not wearing a life vest is safe. Stop playing with numbers in your head.
Aggie, watch my space coming up now that I am back from vacation. Studies, even perhaps all of them, showing Ivermectin to work have been revealed as fraudulent. People are reporting in good faith what they are coming across, but the basic information is untrustworthy.

you are a gullible fool. every bad thing that happens to you will be well earned. should you come to harm from the jab, your smug words will come back to haunt you.
