I admit I disagreed with many on the right who claimed that the Patriot Act was dangerous to our own rights and freedoms. It didn't make any sense to think that our own government would use these laws against their own people. Only Russia, China and Nazi Germany does that. But, here we are and our government is indeed doing exactly that. It began with the Jan 6 protestors and many on the right agreed that the protestors or at least a few of the protestors crossed a line and deserved to be charged in they committed crimes. But then the little Eichmann Garland began a purge not seen since Tiananmen Square. But even then most on the right could overlook these abuses because some of those being persecuted did "riot"... Right? But now it is being use to silence and intimidate anyone who speaks out against CRT, or LGBQT, or any of the stupid hate being taught in our public schools. And again the little Eichmann Garland is behind it all.

I want the Republicans to open a investigation into the DOJ, FBI and Garland. It is way past time. Little Eichmann is dead serious.

My apologies to those on the right who saw early on the risks that the Patriot act presented to our democracy.

IDK, I think the problem is deeper than any single statute. If it wasn't the Patriot Act, it would be the IRS tax id's ensure your enemies can't open bank accounts. Or the CDC enabling statute to give people free housing. Or "emergency declarations" to extend the border wall. Or trillion dollar coins to circumvent debt limits. Or using "prosecutorial discretion" e.g., to create the DACA program. Or declaring ~2 million acres to be a national historical monument. Or one of a thousand other vague statutes / regulations that grant vast discretion to bureaucrats.

I'm starting to see more gaslighting like this that pretends the Democrat's actions between 2008 and 2020 weren't the result of deliberately corrupt choices to engage in activities that were at best unsavory and often criminal.

Before the Towers even fell, I told my coworkers (we were watching the images on tv) that it won’t be the terrorists, or Islam that pays a price for this, but freedom loving Americans. They looked at me like I was crazy. The liberals were right about George W. Bush. Just not in the ways they thought. POS. Now he calls me a terrorist. Let’s go Brandon!

I was one of them. W is the reason I went third-party some years ago. (Constitution.) The damage he did to Conservatism was irreparable.

RE Biden/China.

First, the article not withstanding, there have been NO incursions by Chinese war planes into Taiwanese airs space. None. Chinese aircraft have made many transits of Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone. However, the ADIZ is not Taiwan airspace, it is mostly in international airspace, and it actually protrudes into mainland China. ADIZ's have no standing in international law, and they are generally ignored by everyone.

The Chinese airshow in most likely aimed at the huge multi-carrier naval exercise the US and allies are conducting east of Taiwan. The Task Force includes the USS Jefferson and Vinson, the HMS QR II, and a Japanese amphibious assault carrier. The British and Japanese carriers each carry one squadron of US Marine F-35B's. The fleet's total war plane complement is likely of 120 aircraft.

The Biden administration is slowly drifting into a world war with China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran. Such a war would go nuclear very quickly, maybe from the gitgo.

Vaccine cards to work, enter public and private spaces, to get health care, to fly, etc. Masks too for many of these things. purge of Trump supporters from the military and government. Accusing parents who disapprove with radical school boards to be terrorists. Opening the borders to millions of illegals and actual terrorists. Turning federal law enforcement into Brown shirts.

Surely it couldn't get any worse.

But it will. What is next? There are no examples in history where the government has become tyrannical and then reverted back to a Democracy except after a revolution of the people. So seriously; what next? Should we all cower in our basements until the government has filled the gulags with enemies of the state? Should we sew on the vaccine card to our coats? Should we hide our food in case the government decides to confiscate it and punish us for "hoarding"? What next???

Things have gone crazy and downhill so quickly I think you had better prepare in many ways. When shopping just have a conversation with store employees and you will see the difficulties the store is having already trying to get stock into their store. Buy what you might need in the future as you can't rely on the idea that it will be readily available later. Check the dates if you can before you buy food. Most people that enjoy shooting have at least a small supply of ammo, others have thousands of round. Who can afford that. If they cut off treating the sick because they refuse to get this covid vaccine what is to stop them from cutting off your heat in the winter because you are a conservative or think on your own. Will they decide to give your house to the illegals "just because". What will we do when it gets worse? Will we have the backbone to fight? Buy things you don't want the government to know you have with cash as some credit card companies are blocking "socially unacceptable" purchases. What has happened to America?
