We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Most people are discriminated against in some ways. Scott Adams suggests adding intersection categories (such as too short, too fat, too white, too bald, etc), at the 23:40 point, at his podcast.
Indeed everyone has some flaws, weaknesses, etc. Even exceptional people must choose where to excel and where to not get involved. To be a chess master you can't become a champion ice skater too. The key is to find what you are good at.
Remember that the dwarf actor in game of thrones has played in dozens of movies and is widely admired. The outdoors, friends, love, books, movies, museums are all available equally to everyone.
It was originally a sensible category, as was the concept of "privilege." The originators saw the contradictions and potential for hypocrisy and abuse, and were trying to develop ways of discussing conflicting advantages and multiple categories.
They needn't have bothered, of course.
