We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

I have not noticed all the anti-4th articles probably because a) this could be Exhibit A for why I don’t bother with MSM bullshit any more and b) even if I saw one I sure as hell wouldn’t read it.

Those who encounter such articles should be asking themselves if that news source is really for them. Some things are non-negotiable.

I was intrigued by the excellent Laffer review and went to put it in my Amazon cart, but at $139.99 for the hardcover I'm afraid I'll have to wait until the softcover comes out.

The left ceded patriotism to the right long, long ago. The only time the left mentions patriotism is to use it as a cudgel, so they're not fooling anyone. I wonder how long a country can exist when half of it seems to detest it's existence, or at the least they do nothing but non-stop bitch about it.

A black Jew's black Jewry was used to discredit her rather than enhance her position? Well, yes, it's been noted for some time that before you speak out on the most vile racist tropes imaginable, you have to be careful to check first whether the statement is coming from the KKK or the DNC. It's odd that both the far-left and the far-right agree on so much about how weak and helpless and stupid minorities are, how incapable they are of taking care of themselves without white people to look after them, how it's asking too much of them to expect them to know such things as math and science and literacy like white people, how incapable they are of meeting the standards of white people. And how evil those sneaky Jews are.

Powers was hired last year as the society’s first “Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer,” a newly created position within the organization. She brought 15 years of experience to the role, having managed similar efforts at corporations like Nestle and Amgen.

Fifteen years of feeding other people to the crocodile and we’re supposed to feel for her. Nope. Her turn came at last. Good. Should have been 15x as bad.

It remains acceptable to disparage and hate on Jews. I think they are the only minority to which this applies.

Not to blame the victim here, but why on earth did April Powers think it necessary and appropriate to officially comment on the topic of anti-semitism? She works for a publisher of books.

Nancy and the DC cops...These officers are under control of the House of representatives. Their jurisdiction is DC and any of them operating out of DC should be charged and fined for operating out of their jurisdiction and then deported back to DC at their own cost.
