We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

In regards to Twitter, it's not hypocrisy in their eyes, because they don't view conservatives as human. When you dehumanize your opponents, it clears so many things up...

As a veteran, I signed LTC Allen West’s letter. Somehow we must rekindle the notion that we do not derive our rights from the government. And most especially we do not need unelected bureaucrats, serving life time appointments, from three letter government agencies telling us how to live our lives. A government for the people, by the people, must not perish from the earth.

Is UNC’s not hiring Nikole Hannah-Jones a bigger deal than it seems? I remember decades before all this woke BS was even thought about, a philanthropist wanted to donate tens of millions of dollars to an Ivy League university to create a curriculum about Western civilization. His gift was turned down! UNC is every bit as leftist as any other university and they are all a lot more leftist than they were when that offer was refused, yet they at least value a philanthropist’s money if not his values.

I know nothing about charitable gifts on this scale, but it seems to me that the only way to reign this sort of duplicity in, is to provide endowments rather than large capital outlays. Once you hand over the money, it' gone, along with your control. If you want control, you have to hand it over in smaller bits, periodically. For some it's more important to have your name on a building. For others, it's more important that your values have a legacy rather than your name.

Three random thoughts.

1) This is why free speech is a good thing. It's good to know what people are thinking, particularly when their ideas are repugnant.

2) It poses the question, what happens when you go for therapy and your therapist is mentally ill?

3) If she really hates white people, she should walk the walk and move to a dark neighborhood/country where there are no white people to be found and she how she likes it.
