Relating to the picture above. A few weeks ago outside of the STL area a runner was shot by a turkey hunter. I guess the hunter was so happy he was going to bag a turkey he went after the movement of the runner. I understand the runner will be OK and I don't know what will happen to the hunter. We have family that run the same trail but may rethink that running spot.

Pertaining to the screaming Joe Biden about white supremacy being terrorists.....do they not realize that trying to force the white people to view the blacks a different way and to embrace the violent culture that seems to be so prevalent in that culture now days will not help the situation. I know not all blacks are like those causing trouble on the news, but I believe it will in fact make the white resent and dislike the blacks more. Forcing me to believe in something I don't believe in doesn't make me like it, on the contrary makes me dislike it more.

At 5his point it is naive to assume good intentions. It is clear that the Left want to sow division and precipitate a crisis. Like the corona scare and rhe climate scare, the racial theories are intended to stampede or silence people into accepting more limitations on liberty and, ultimately, a communist regime. In particular the rhetoric of imaginary white supremacists is being deployed to justify future violence against the civilians most likely to challenge rhe regime. With this narrative planted in most people's minds, few will oppose police action.

Re: Fauci: Well, if so many of the population's suspicions about Fauci were correct all along, then they weren't 'paranoid', they were intuitively correct at the very least. The Twitter feed of Adam Gaertner is quite interesting right now.

If you have a Ring, Echo or Alexa in your house let’s just say that you have a very different idea of privacy than I do, I can’t see how this change will materially make things worse than their already atrocious state.

As with all things, it's a balance struck. I have a 93 year-old mother in Assisted Living who's been in complete isolation from family for a year. I have a Facebook Portal (Alexa) so that I and my family can talk with her with face-to-face, life size images on both ends. It has transformed her life and made it bearable. Same for my wife and her family, in 2 different foreign countries that are presently closed borders. I have opted out of Sidewalk.

Fauci is a shameless liar, and it’s all out there now for everyone to see. It was pretty transparent to me from the beginning so I always assumed the truth was somewhere near 180 degrees opposite of whatever he said.

The real question for a lot of those who believed a single word out of this tool’s mouth is, how many other “government experts” have you trusted and how many of them were also lying to you?

The answer is “a lot more than you realize”, almost certainly.

We forget that it was once an arduous multi-day journey to get back and forth to Washington, D.C. Problems had to be addressed at the local and state level. The advent of rapid transportation and communication has allowed the central government to take more and more control.

The manatee problem is classic. There are things that could and should be cleaned up, which environmentalists used to care about and conservationists still do. But current environmentalism A) Doesn't want the Wrong People to make money and have status, because B) If we choose radically different lifestyles they will be more important. Therefore Climate Change must be the focus. the manatees are just a prop, like the polar bears and the rain forest.
