I have voted in Georgia elections since I was 18 and I have always had to show an ID.
And now it's 'restrictive' to require one for absentee voting?

The Leftists sure know how to muddy the waters.

They think if they scream loudly enough about being 'disenfranchised' that they can eventually get to a point where you don't have to show ID to vote.

If that happens, it'll be a permanent Democratic majority in the House and Senate, and whatever turd rises to the top of the cesspool as President...

Taiwan is a goner whenever China decides. It's a small landmass, surrounded by water, with no other effective uncoventional deterrent that's threatened by a larger country with bodies to spare, led by an aggressive dictator, and the leadership and significant numbers of the citizenry of its main ostensible ally is wrapped up in self hatred.

We seen this movie before. China will generate some kind of incident with Taiwan and then in "retaliation" they will massively invade it with total destruction and submission in less than 24 hours. They will move a huge army to the island and at that point dare anyone to try to take it away from them. And it will be all over and done before it makes the news cycle.

China isn't going to invade Taiwan, at least not initially.
The initial strike will involve ballistic missiles and cruise missiles armed with biological and chemical warheads to decimate the population.
If they feel confident enough the US isn't going to interfere we can also expect nuclear warheads on Taiwan's military bases and major infrastructure targets.

An initial occupation force will follow several weeks or months (depending on the agents used) later in the guise of a "humanitarian relief effort" and will just sail into ports and land on what airfields remain unopposed for the simple reason there will be nobody left to oppose them.

That's been the Chinese game plan for decades, they simply lack the amphibious capacity to do anything else (though they have been expanding that capacity of late, it's nowhere near enough to land several divisions worth of armoured troops at once, and have several more ready to roll within hours of that.

NO! They cannot afford to allow it to go on for longer than 24 hours because that would give the U.S. and the world enough time to try to stop it. They must do it in one fell swoop. It must be a blitzkrieg and fully occupied inside of 24 hours so that there is zero chance to stop it or reverse it. Part of that MUST include the death of any Taiwan citizen in any position of power. And no witnesses or bodies simply disappeared.

Wages are not the issue. Payroll taxes are the issue.

If minimum wage is "raised" through an unfunded mandate, then payroll tax revenue to the government will also increase. So the government has every reason to "raise" wages to fifteen dollars an hour. The real solution is to eliminate payroll taxes. Then wages will naturally increase. But tax revenue would go down, and the giant bribery system would fall apart. Can't have that!

My sister works in a hospital, her payroll tax-rate is forty percent.

$15 Minimum Wage

The minimum wage doesn't help low income workers, it helps union wages. Almost all union wage contracts have an escalator that states that if the minimum wage is increased, the union wage scale is increased accordingly.

What happens if the true value of minimum wage work is less than $15 is that a percentage of low income workers will get laid off or business will try to find ways to mechanize their jobs. Or if not, the small businesses will go out of business. However, union wage workers will see their wages go up.

Regarding the shooting of Daunte Wright. It is clear that the officer made a mistake. The legal system should deal with it.

It is a false narrative that the police are killing a lot of unarmed black men. On a good weekend in Chicago blacks kill more unarmed blacks than all the police in America do in a year. On the other hand, blacks kill 8 times more police. I wonder why the MSM doesn't know this?
