We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

When is this pandemic over?

After a year of restrictions, when can we declare that the pandemic is over?


I would say now, for sure. Around here, restaurants are full, pubs are full, and people seem back to normal other than the mask politeness when expected.  No need to scare some innocent phobic.


There still some phobics out there, so be nice to them because they are truly fearful. They do not believe Science.

It's over here in WNC but supermarkets, liquor stores, and Wal-Mart haven't gotten the news. They still have guards at the entrances checking for masks and enforcing occupancy limits.

The decline and fall of America.

The enemy is at the gates AND the enemy is within. No nation can stand an attack from the enemies within. We are no longer a Democracy, that myth blew it’s cover on Nov 3rd 2020. Your country has been stolen from you and it never even made the 5 O’clock news. In fact the news was stolen from you and thus the story was intentionally suppressed. We all saw this happening in the lead up to the non-election; CNN, MSN, N Y Times, etc. It was there to see, they lied to your face and called you names if you refused to believe them. They hired racists for the express purpose of calling you racists. They hired homosexuals for the express purpose of calling you a homophobe. The hired POC for the express purpose of calling you a white supremacist. We all saw this but we did not ALL understand this. DO you understand it yet?
I miss America. I miss hearing the truth on TV and the internet. The Democrats, the social media, the news media and many people in influential positions in America have blacked out people on the right. No Trump tweets that inconveniently showed Democrats to be liars. No debate about public policy which is now made in the dark by unelected unknown people. The 2020 election was stolen in a massive effort, because Trump was so popular, that was obvious to all but now the Democrats, the various talking heads and even our government agencies are covering it up. And they are now seeking to persecute you if you do not swear fealty to the unelected president Biden.

Communist China (CCP) has taken over the Democrat party, our social media and our MSM. The CCP was the driving force behind stealing the election and they are now in control. They intend to destroy/emasculate our military and to destroy and collapse our economy. Why? To, as some think, become the dominant economic force in the world? Dream on. China intends to start and win WW III. And honestly I think they can do it. I believe that in spite of our nuclear arsenal that China can indeed win this war and they intend to do just that.

This is real and time is not your friend. We are careening at top speed towards the economic cliff and our driver is a doddering old man and a drunken anti-American old hag (Pelosi). It is probably too late to stop the Great Depression 2.0 and may be too late to stop WW III. I don’t know if it’s too late and it may well be unknowable, but what else can we do but try? It will take a miracle and although I’m not a believer in miracles I saw President Trump pull off a miracle with the covid vaccine so maybe it is possible. But it will require that everyone, or at least every right thinking American wake up and do something to make it happen. Not a vast conspiracy but individual action. Call/write your congress people, become active in local politics, stand up for what is right and oppose what is wrong. Recall the traitors, demand resignations, vote in honest people. Boycott the left wing media and social media. Speak up, speak out, don’t hide in the safety of anonymity. Act as though your life depends on it.

All over America the flags are at half staff today for the unarmed female veteran shot Jan 6th while demonstrating against the stolen election and those who stole it.

OOPS! My mistake. No sympathy or amends for that sad event because it goes against the political goal. The flag is at half staff for those the victims of Asian discrimination in Atlanta. Not for the half dozen or so killed in Chicago every weekend. Not for that poor white guy burned to death in NY City. There's no political benefit in that. But the opportunity to divide the country even more is just too good an opportunity to pass up.

Any time we want. We loaned our Freedom and Liberty to people we thought had our best interest at heart; but they turned out to be no more than self-interested government apparatchiks. (I know. Surprised, right?...) They, coupled with their busy-body Karen allies, will not let this go. We are being politically gang-raped for their collective orgasm of power. And it will continue at this because we do not fight back. It is high time we do. It is time to reclaim our Freedom. It is time to reclaim our Liberty. It is time to stand. Stand up to this defilement by so-called experts and activists. And if they do not stop, give them a swift kick in their erect political shaft by ignoring all that they command.

Well, the Better Half gets Jab #2 tomorrow morning, so the Pandemic ends at noon, March 22nd, at my house. We will continue to wear courtesy bandanas to assuage the fears of the pandemonic paranoids and risk averse businesses, but woe betide the Blue Anon who confronts and haranges me about face covering.

Took a ski trip last week to Utah, had flight connections in Las Vegas and Phoenix. What a crock of COVID comedy. Southwest Airlines puts on a bizarre kabuki show about masks and sanitizing, but packs passengers in like sardines. The boarding areas at the terminals are equally packed, like a frat mixer. Social distancing is non-existant and no one seemed to care one iota.

Big institutions, biz and gov, seem to enjoy Pandemic Theatre,and use it as an excuse justification for eliminating or reducing services. Chintzy bastards.

Fortunately, my job wasn't affected so my life didn't really change.

I think most people are finished with masks.

If you' have a comorbidity, or are a teacher, cop, fireman, emt, hospital employee, veteran, American Indian, or you're over 65 then you're either vaccinated or choose not to be. Many large companies have also purchased the vaccine for their employees. Everyone else should be vaccinated within a month, if they want to be.

We got jabbed a month ago. I have made several of what my husband calls "In-your-face" masks (note that the signs in my area call for "face coverings".) These are home made of 2-4 layers of cheesecloth held on by T-shirt strings - don't fog your glasses and dry quickly when removed on leaving the store. I also observe that social distancing and one way arrows in the store isles have gone the way of the dodo.

I live in a Gulag here in KY. The only Democrat in power is the governor who won the election due to some highly suspicious voting machines. Hmmm... Mask wearing in public is STILL mandatory. My husband and I are starting to regret moving out of Florida nine years ago.
