We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
That’s easy. They all belong to the same political party. They all worship the same god: Big Government. They evangelize with threats, intimidation, and the full force of the laws that pass through the courts. And they are completely committed to their dogma. They will not hesitate to lie and cheat to maintain the pressure of conformity. The ends always justify the means.
But it is "It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma" to me because most of these people are intelligent, informed, it must be as obvious to them as it is to us that the communists have taken over their party and everything coming out of the Democrats is lies and propaganda. Why do they do it? I can understand a politician lying to get elected. I can understand a reporter having a bias. But this is different. The left is trying to take over America and make it the new Venezuela and destroy the middle class just so they can seize all power and rule with an iron fist. This ISN'T your grandfathers Democrat party. If JFK were to come back to life he would reject Democrats and become a Republican. I just don't understand how so many on the left can be sociopathic.
As devastating as Greenwald's charges are, he has more faith and trust in the news media than I. I thought one outlet "sourced" (whatever that meant to them) a story and the other outlets would ask them if the story was legit. Of course they would say yes and there you go! It's verified. A third could ask the first two and then claim that two independent sources corroborated the story.
I remember hearing stories being reported that a high official in the Trump White House said that somebody else in the White House had said something. During the entire reporting of the story, it was clear that nobody ever thought to ask the second person what he said, if anything, even though he was available for comment.
And those people get paid for doing what they call reporting!
