We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. On Cuomo, he's not some kind of magnificent con-man. He's a hack politician whose whole career has been made riding on his father's political coat-tails. He's made up any differences with bullying, and he's gotten away with it, for the same reason. He's got the best defensive line possible, the Democratic Party, with the media as fans in the bleachers. His problem is, the defensive line ain't so sure he's worth taking an injury for, by continuing to protect him. He's declared he won't quit, so they're still haggling over the price of whatever it is they want.

There is no reason to have any rule about eating, except we Americans consume far too many carbs. Learn to eat to live, not live to eat. Eating two small meals a day works for me, as does fasting two days a week.

As so many here have noted, exercise and movement is a necessity, and must go hand in hand with how you eat.

If having three vaccines does not allow us to get back to normal, than somebody wasted an awful lot of money on them.

It doesn't add up. 74 million voted for Trump so one would think at least those people knew about The Big Guy's declining mental abilities, and yet a poll the other day (Yeah. it was probably rigged.) showed Joe with a 60% approval rating.

Is there actually a sizeable number of people out there that truly think Joe is mentally competent? Even on the Left? Really?

I wonder if people on the Left realize Joe's condition but to them an incompetent Joe is preferable to the evil, bad, Orange Man?

I can't imagine they are fooling the rest of the world at this point.

So if that's the case, that everyone sees through the charade, one would think it could go on indefinitely. At some point Old Joe may no longer be able to appear in public, but with a compliant media I wouldn't think that would be too much of a problem.

OTOH, one wonders what's going on behind the scenes now? Will Joe's handlers and puppet masters find favor in a Harris administration or will they lose power and influence if/when Harris comes to power?

A possible power struggle between the Harris and Biden camps could lead Biden's people to keep him in office as long they can.

There have been a lot of columns written about the end of our republic citing some event as the turning point. I would posit that historians will see a stolen election used to install a mentally incompetent POTUS as the end of the Founders' Republic.

No, I don't think so. You have your hardcore Ds who'll vote for a concrete block if that's what the party puts up. You've got the 'Gimme' crowd who'll vote for the D when the promise is good - but I think a lot of them are starting to realize that they can promise but delivery is decidedly optional and what you get may not be anything at all like what you were expecting. (All those college students expecting $50k in loan forgiveness got a real wakeup call. We'll see how many remember it next election cycle.)

Then you've got the folks who believe campaign ads, where Trump was Hitler/Satan incarnate, and voted for Good Ol' Saintly Little-Girl-Sniffin' Joe because he was much more moral and virtuous. Well, you can't fix stupid...

They know Joe's about two, three weeks from a suite in the local Memory Care Assisted Living Facility - but they didn't care.

My thought is that if it'd been an honest election, Biden would be in Memory Care at this point. Instead... well, we'll get what we get.

The underlying problem is that as part of a dying civilization, as an effect of dumbing down the culture Hollywood is now intellectually unable to make an original movie. Everything they do is simply a remake of prior movies. Of course, each one must now be politically corrected in the process.

The GOPe doesn't get it. It isn't about Trump. It's about the 85 million Republicans/conservatives that the GOP has abandoned for years and years. We vote them back in office because that's the only choice we get.

Dammit Graham, open your eyes. Trump is NOT the problem, you and your band of merry men are the problem. The country is in the dumper, we're going down, the big one. It is probably too late to stop it and all the Democrats want to do is accelerate it and all the GOPe want's to do is whine that Trump has more friends/voters.

Trump didn't screw the pooch in the Georgia senate election, GOPe did. They were so anti-Trump that they couldn't get behind him even to get two Republicans elected.

Trump won't be at fault if the GOP fails to retake the House or senate in 2016 it will be the Republicans trying to keep Trump from having any power in the GOP.

God dammit the Republicans are truly the stupid party.

We can justifiably hope for normalcy by Independence Day.I guess I'm a man ahead of my time. Today I flew my plane to another Southern state and met a flying buddy for lunch. None of the line boys who fueled my plane were wearing masks. I haven't been vaccinated but went maskless in the restaurant. Nobody said anything. Most of the staff weren't wearing masks either. Only a few of the patrons were wearing masks. The tables were back to normal separation rather than six feet.The salad bar was open! Life is good!
