Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

I don't know why it is that Conservatives don't start using hypocrisy as an offensive weapon. It's a great way to make your opponent wear themselves out. Gov. Abbot should issue immediate orders that the borders must remain closed because of the pandemic health concerns related to COVID risk - who could argue with that? Of course, he should do this while opening the state north of the border to citizens.
Opening Texas: So easy, a Caveman could do it. (so I read somewhere else) I went to Walmart yesterday and they had a prominent display of Dr. Suess books. Not sure why.
His birthday is 2 March which was promoted by the NEA as National Read across America Day starting in 1998. Until this year his books have always been a prominent part of the effort though the contract with the Seuss organization ended in 2018.
Probably because only 6 of his books have been cancelled, while the censor's gaze has slipped over the rest (for now, citizen, for now). Walmart is probably hustling to move the rest before they get wiped too, and they're stuck with the inventory. They could always burn them, just to be on the safe side, I guess.
It's a feature of the modern outrage culture for the reporters to imply that all of Dr. Seuss' books are being expunged, and an indication of their tone-deafness that having any of them cancelled is outrage enough. The effort to suppress the right is comic and tragic. Comic because instead of convincing people that Biden won legitimately it makes them wonder why the over compensating, what are they trying to hide. We all saw the big steal. We all know the election was massively and brazenly stolen. We know they are lying to us. They know we know they are lying to us. They are trying to force us to deny the truth. It is their last effort to fully subjugate us. If we give in, they win. Put on your mask, stay home, shut up and say out loud that there was no election fraud.
And, the public looks the other way while the DOJ tramples the human and civil rights of those "detained" (NO BAIL) for Jan 6th.
Does anyone have the facts from that day? Me neither. Let's hope they televise this show trial, eh?
Byron York @ByronYork Talked a few days ago about charges against Oath Keepers militia in Capitol riot. Big part of story: They were unarmed -- were careful to observe District of Columbia's strict gun-control laws... 1/5 ...but there was talk of armed 'quick reaction force' waiting in Virginia to help Oath Keepers topple government if things got nasty. 2/5 Problem: Some of the Oath Keepers' communications before rally suggested 'quick reaction force' was actually one guy at the Comfort Inn in Ballston who was too tired to spend the day in the District. 3/5 Now, attorneys for one Oath Keepers defendant say 'quick reaction force' was indeed one person -- 'in his late 60s, obese, and has cardio-pulmonary issues, a bad back, a bum knee, and is in need of a hip replacement.' 4/5 Defense lawyers: 'The Government's fanciful suggestion that right-wing tactical commandos were waiting in the wings to storm the Capitol is one for the ages.' Now, we'll have to hear what prosecutors say. 5/5 End. Assuming Byron York got this right, pass it on.
Make sure everyone knows that this is the investigators idea of tactical support. The DOJ, the media clowns and political gas hags need to be mocked and ridiculed to the end of time. I have colonized my mathroom.
eBay removing all listings of six canceled Dr. Seuss books: Banning books is the best way to sell books to free people. Muppets: Disney shoots itself in the feet with a 155mm Howitzer. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! Majority Of Academics Support Discriminating Against Conservatives...which is why conservatives will discriminate against Academics. Turn about = Fair Play. Why do Biden’s handlers have him back in the basement? He's the loosest cannon in the world!!!! So they HAD to tie him down. re eBay removing all listings of six canceled Dr. Seuss books
My questions: 1) If these books are so awful/evil, why didn't eBay ban the sale of these books 20 years ago? It looks to me that eBay management has been extremely negligent in leaving them up for sale for so long. 2) If these books are so repugnant, why have they been so successful for decades in the market place? If it were about how repugnant those books are, the fact that both Mein Kampf and Das Kapital are available on Amazon and Ebay tells you all you need to know about what their respective managements consider repugnant.
Why have Biden's handlers put him back in the closet? I suspect it's because they're just about done with him. They can't put him out in public because it will then be obvious he has all the intellectual capacity of an acorn squash, he was only useful for signing executive orders and "proving" that he wasn't an acorn squash. Now that they need somebody to step up and take on the actual duties of the office, they're going to have to get rid of him.
Which, as I've said before, is going to lead to leftists asking questions about how long Biden has been an acorn squash and who all knew he was an acorn squash - they ain't gonna be happy about having been tricked into voting for an acorn squash. And that's the real reason for the fence and the troops in Washington, it's not Trump supporters they're scared of, it's the mobs of angry leftists that will be coming for them. Jerryskids,
While I would love to see that sort of mass awakening--and strong reaction--from the lockstep lefties, I think that's hoping for too much. They don't care if they were fooled, just so long as OrangeManBad is vanquished. TDS is a powerful drug, and apparently hallucinogenic. Just a reminder that the most important metric for measuring when the Covid pandemic will shift into an endemic (meaning there will be a slow burning study number of cases that we’ll never get rid of completely) is the percent positive of new tests.
Assuming that the number of tests conducted remains relatively steady, the pandemic will be over when less than 2.5% of tests are positive. Although the public health folks know this, I strongly suspect they will not be advertising this information. Do with it what you will. They shoveled Dotty Joe back into the basement because he keeps asking, on camera, what he's supposed to do next. Nothing highlights mental incompetence more than that.
Biden back in the basement.
After his bombing of Syria I wanted to call President Biden a "Hawk" but he's actually a "Nuthatch". Hmm... the nuthatch always strikes me as a pretty alert, capable little fellow.
Biden back in the basement.
Where's the State of the Union speech that was supposed to have been given on February 23? The failure of that to occur has been totally censored, but you can still find references here and there. https://www.pbs.org/video/watch-live-2021-state-of-the-union-special-zrzv6g/ Watch Live: 2021 State of the Union Special Special | 3m |Video has closed captioning. Add toMy List President Joe Biden will deliver his State of the Union address. Aired: 02/23/21 Rating: NR Trump should sign up to give the SOTU speech. He is the real president after all.
I half thought he was going to do that at CPAC. But of course that has now been censored as well.
China changes Hong Kong election law to insure that Democracy dies and only Chinese Communist Party candidates can win.
Democrats pass HR1 bill to change U.S. election law to insure that Democracy dies and only the Communist Democrat party can win. Geeez... You can't make this stuff up. Take back the initiative, or, in Newspeak: Pushback.
Shake up, and wake up the sleepy "Woke" Stop using the value neutral, Newspeak "CANCELED". Replace with the emotionally charged **CENSORED**. When they do it, they own it, so call them on it "Mostly peaceful" does not mean Peaceful. Looting is not Payback -or- Reparations etc., etc., etc. Shake up, and wake up the Woke. / A "World Obesity' organization looks into Covid cases and "Lo and Behold" they discover that most Covid deaths happen in countries where a majority of people are obese!
https://www.worldobesityday.org/assets/downloads/COVID-19-and-Obesity-The-2021-Atlas.pdf But something else is going on. Most of the countries with low Covid death rates are in interior Africa where if you die the authorities have no idea what you died from. The real problem here is Covid, like so many crisis give people with an agenda and opportunity to use misinformation to their benefit. Does this remind you of Democrat deceptions? This is cute.
https://moonbattery.com/lgbt-propaganda-targets-toddlers/ They grow up so fast, don't they? Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene is going to be a thorn in the side of Democrats.
