We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Call me a tin-foil head, but to me it almost looks like Mr. DeBlasio and his allies are trying to buff his reputation and take out Cuomo to set up a bid for Governor for himself.
Any legal action that does take place should have more of a whiff of enterprise corruption, to whit using government action to further political ambitions. That can mean personal liability with no qualified immunity.
"Um, what is he paid to do?"
Not put America first, that's pretty clear.
In re President Biden: Among the challenges of "we'll all pull together are -- Agreeing on which heading to pull, The drag of "convoy speed", The racing of sierra hotel captains, who break the convoy by making it a dash for personal glory. Fortunately, there are no analogs of these among the nations of the world.
I always try to keep Bill Gates' philanthropic work in perspective by mentally pigeonholing it in Windows Vista 2.0
Regarding the removal of Trump's interview and other YouTube outrage, OK, they've done it again, we get it. There are other platforms available now for YouTube (Rumble) and Twitter (Parler). If the reporter hates 'Cancel Culture' so much, why aren't they publishing links to the alternative platforms in the same article, so as to direct traffic right to the alternative competitor? Seems like if that were to happen enough, then it might just inspire an attitude adjustment by the Content Nazis. People being cancelled need to start fighting back by diverting the revenue stream to friendlier people.
The left. the POC, the grifters are in a racist orgy right now. Everything white is fair game. It's the neo-Jim Crow. It's pretty transparent, they aren't even trying to hide the racism.
"Blue" -- I speculate that, before specific color words, we called things by semblance, like "wine-dark", or "like the sky".
Natural blue pigments are rare, but we see the color in all sorts of things. By "we" I mean everyone in every culture. I can see how it gets categorized as a type of green, and so doesn't exactly get its own name sometimes.
We have long identified red, yellow & blue as the "primary" colors, the basic ingredients for blending other colors. But when it comes time to actually blend colors, look at what any color printer uses as its ingredients: red and blue give way to magenta and cyan. Yellow alone remains!!
Red, Green and Blue are the primary colors of light. Magenta, Yellow, and Cyan are the primary colors of paint.
Look out Coke!
Coca Cola has decided to join the 'cancel culture'. Perhaps they forgot their roots.
The company was founded by Confederate Colonel John Pemberton.
Apologies for being off topic:
The first topic on David Frei and Robert Barnes live stream last night was the dismissal of the charges against Amy Cooper ( controversial encounter with a Black man bird-watching in New York’s Central Park last year). You won’t be surprised to learn that the media narrative left out a lot of facts and details. That's right the gashags on the View led a skeezy pile on.
In addition, Robert Barnes announced that the civil suits against Kyle Rittenhouse have been dropped. Note that the standard of proof in a civil case is much lower than in a criminal case. Recall the Goldman’s civil suit against OJ. This would imply that the prosecution of Kyle Rittenhouse may be in trouble.

I occasionally watch "The Gaggle" on YouTube which focuses on foreign policy from a foreign perspective. They are bemused by the Biden foreign policy. Of course, a lot of Europeans would be happy to belly up to the North Atlantic grift, no problem, but the Gaggle points out many others have realized that restoration of the Cold War World Order is not on.
They did remark on Emanuel Macron, a head of state, being shunted to speak with the VP. Insult, maybe? Oh to be a fly on the wall, it is amusing to imagine Macron's face as he tries to make sense of Harris.
Biden Fires Chicago U.S. Attorney Hot on the Trail of Democratic Corruption
Now it appears, that bringing down corrupt Democratic politicians will be the job of the next U.S. attorney. Along with 56 other U.S. attorneys named by former president Trump, Lausch will lose his job — fired by Joe Biden. “It’s tradition,” said Biden supporters. This is true. But it’s also “tradition” to keep prosecutors in place who were pursuing high-profile cases. Lausch certainly qualified under that criteria.
Biden’s firing hasn’t gone down well in Illinois.
Isn't that the coverup that Nixon was accused of; firing the U.S. attorney that was investigating Republican corruption. Just wait until the Washington Post and Woodward and Bernstein hear about this they will go after Biden...
I don't know anything about blue, but I am reliably formed that black is not a color-- it's the absence of color.
The NFL and the never watched USWNT have decided to stop taking a knee during our anthem. Well isn't that great. I'm guessing after losses of fans and revenue someone read them the riot act. But their attitude and opinion of the U.S. and fly over country has been pretty obvious. I really don't give a shit what they do and it's way too late to apologize. I hope they stew in their own juices and would be happy to see them all unemployed.
