This wouldn't be right up there with getting a DNA test that shows markers that you are susceptible to breast cancer so you get your breasts removed, and then find you have breast cancer. But it does seem to be the same idea.

As so many have pointed out, if it hadn’t been for TDS, most of us wouldn’t realize the extent and depth of media corruption, from the Russian hoax to the fine people hoax……It even reaches the level of pathological. It has crept into everything. The Dems shamelessly presented fabricated, deceptively edited “evidence” in their clown show, oops, show trial, not to mention twice removed hearsay. There was nothing that would meet the standards of evidence required in a normal civil or criminal trial.
I hope we all know how the narrative is gamed, the strategies and the techniques. That said, you can’t give the public a pass. News consumers aren’t passive receptacles; they have agency. We have to face the reality that many people, across the political spectrum, demand and/or are satisfied with lies.
As for the Sicknick story, you have to know that, had it been true, federal law enforcement would have pulled out all the stops. The story would be the top news story for many days. The autopsy results would have been in our face. There would have been a massive public information campaign and manhunt. It would have been Timothy McVeigh redux.

The Farce is strong in her, too. It is in all the Washington Establishment types. It isn't simply TDS: the derangement is older and broader than that. I am reminded of what the adults, particularly the older adults, used to tell me about the McCarthy Era, a decade after the fact. It was a bit heady for a kid in primary school. Some of it is only beginning to.make sense now.

"VDH: Our Animal Farm - The Left’s 1960s dream is America’s 2021 nightmare". I am about the same age as VDH and he puts everything I have been thinking into a great article. The younger twisted minds haven't been through this to understand what has/is happening to our country. Perhaps they have had it too easy and haven't suffered enough to appreciate what this country has offered up to now. IF things keep going the way they are now they may very well get to experience suffering. Our fathers that fought and died for our freedoms would be rolling over in their graves. I am sad and ashamed of what has happened in a very short time and some are blind to see it.

The fix for the NY Times is easy. Every never Trumper, crazy SJW cancel culture jerk has already stood up and claimed their stupidity. Fire them! Then tell the people who are left on staff that it is a newspaper not a sorority house. From now on report the truth not political bias or look for another job.

I thought this very cool. Colonial American history is not my forte. Who knew pirate ships were operating off the coast of Massachusetts? My feeble mind never considered the possibility they might travel north of Chesapeake Bay. I guess my history is influenced by too many pirate movies or something.

But then the article goes on to say this:

IT's a new paradigm - the treasure seeker thinks he can get more investor-underwriters if he makes his story thrilling with woke social-justice themes. Just think! Buccaneers 'experimenting with Democracy' and 'recovering slave wages' as they slit throats and raided vessels under the watchful gaze of their 'benevolent' captain. ...and what does the National Guard do in their normal bailiwick? Respond to emergencies, help out with natural disasters. Let's see, any significant weather events this week (he asked, from Texas where it's present 10°F)?

Won't it be interesting when all of those people in the heartland are frozen into their homes with no power, no water, no sanitation, no food - and no National Guard coverage to help them through it. Washington DC is safe, though.

Here in MT the Republican party was saved by the onslaught of out of staters who moved in last summer. They were running away from terrible states and voted straight down the ticket a large Republican victory.The legislature has been in session for six weeks (+/-). They have total control in both houses and the governor's office. They tried to write a new law that would protect against voter fraud. They negotiated with the losers over and over and here is what they were able to get done. Late registration will cut off on the Friday before the Tuesday of election. OH WOW! That is such a serious curtailment to voter fraud!!!! If that is the best they can do we can never hope for clean elections in this state--
All those savvy smart newcomers who gave them a clear victory have seen exactly what the old time Montana Republicans are made of--not much! This state needs a new party!

Yes, but lets investigate the Antifa and BLM "attacks" over the last year as well. Let's call for impeachment and prosecution of anyone who aided and abetted those criminals as well (for example giving them bail money). The politicians ignored the attacks all over middle class America and only became incensed when it seemed to threaten their ivory tower. Well, we are just as important as them and many of us did actually have to hide from violence (unlike AOC's lies). Let's call witnesses under oath, like Schumer and Pelosi to see what they knew and when they knew it.

This is a call for Republicans to grow a pair and insist that all of the riots/insurrections be investigated and the guilty punished.

You seem to obsess over the New York Times and NYC media in general, based on today's links. If people would just ignore them, their influence would drop, and we would have a lot more time to spend on things that really matter. Unless you are in the Northeast Corridor, the NYT is pretty much "who cares what they say?"
