Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Democrats gloomy over the election...
I'm really starting to think that they had planned for a loss. The Biden/Harris campaign was a joke, and the candidates themselves are arguably the worst the Democrats could have come up with aside from Hillary - but they didn't expect certain lower-end state organizations would go "WE CAN DO THIS!" and crank out hundreds of thousands of fraudulent votes. But now they've got 'em, and it's already looking like a blasted disaster. What have they got to look forward to? If they go full-Left, it'll kill the Democratic party. If they don't, they'll get eaten by their most passionate base. Biden's not capable of being President, and they KNOW that. Harris as President? Oh, lord. Instead of relief that Orange Man Bad is gone, they dread what's to come. I guess not many are taking the trouble to translate what they suspect into how it could have happened. For instance - the professional pollsters are saying that there are too many odd statistical features in this election that don't add up. Inordinate numbers of Biden-only votes, inordinately good Biden performance in red districts. It may be true, but it doesn't matter to me. It can't be reliably proven, although these things are often used as evidence in election contests.
If there were 12 million votes cast wrongfully for Biden, how would that work? Well... Let's assume there were 10 strongly Democratic states that decided to pad Biden votes (we know for sure there were at least 5 that got caught on sheer audacious volumes). Let's assume in each of these states there are 5 cities that are heavily controlled by Machine Democrats. Let's assume the cities have 15 precincts under absolute political control of the polling process. Then each precinct would only have to secure 16,000 phony votes on average, to tally up to the 12 million. They had months to plan the cheat, months to get the absentee ballot franchises in place, months to plan anonymous ballot drops with poor security, and after the election: A steadfast refusal to follow procedures to ensure wrongful ballots were not counted - e.g. bi-partisan poll-counting witnesses, signature audits, so forth. All that had to happen was notional complicity by Trump-hating Republicans and enough dilution to where the wrongful ballots were able to blend in. Chain of custody violations, separating mail-in ballots from envelopes (violation of procedure) made it impossible to audit. Some are saying Conservatives are over-reacting emotionally to a lost election - All I can reply is, where is your insistence on complying with audit and signature verification? Simple compliance with procedures would have caught nearly all of it. If we're over-reacting, then why wasn't this done? Why weren't Republican officials insistent it be done? If faith in election sanctity is important, nothing could be more damaging. I think Democrats are worried that they actually lost badly, and that a huge backlash is building. But I'm not predicting the future. We'll see. " Simple compliance with procedures would have caught nearly all of it. "
Which is why the procedures weren't complied with. Keep out GOP poll watchers and you can do damned near anything with the numbers. Rules are only for the republican middle class that the uniparty is trying to get rid of as soon as possible.
"mantle plume ... appears to be melting part of West Antarctica"
I await the declaration by "experts" that mantle plumes are caused by Climate Change and are accelerated by racists. MAGA TRUMP. I have to admit I thought Trump might just let this bill go through. Most likely this will be the last time you will see any federal level politician working for Americans for the next four years. Now on to Jan 6th.
"Now on to Jan 6th"
I have a feeling Trump has a few surprises up his sleeve for those who stole the election. Not so much that he can actually reverse it (i.e. Jan 6th). But more about exposing it and 'maybe' actual prosecutions of the guilty. I have to say that as bad as I feel that Biden will be our next president even if we prove he cheated I will feel good to see some/all of those who did the cheating and facillitated the cheating go to jail. Report: Democrats feel gloomy over election: I am sooooooooo not bummed. How the COVID relief bill turned into a climate change bill: By MAGICK!!!111!!!! Re: Our Mission is to Redistribute Wealth
The problem with redistributing wealth is that a lot of money would given to people who aren't even supposed to be here. Will the government give money to illegal aliens? Or people with a mile-long rap sheet? Or a drug addict? Or a person in a Nursing Home? You see, there's no way to determine how much "wealth" each person should receive. But you could give them all the same amount. The second problem with redistributing wealth is that 80% of the assets in America are stocks and bonds. Those securities are legally protected, so if the government tried to nationalize the Stock Market, it would collapse. That wouldn't solve anything. The third problem is that the redistribution of wealth would be like pouring gasoline onto a forest fire. Inflation; a huge increase in drug use; refusal to work; and millions of dollars for Lotto and the Casinos. The money would not be spent wisely. You know what they say: Easy come, easy go. And redistributing wealth doesn't solve any of America's structural problems, anyway. We need to get rid of the ruinous Unions, so that factory jobs will come back. We need to get rid of all the illegal aliens, and we need to create a euthanasia program for the elderly. So the great money give-away is just a ploy, designed to relieve Washington D.C. of responsibility for tackling the tough problems. They don't believe their own BS about COVID. Does anyone believe that if they thought for a second that COVID was the Black Death incarnate that they would do the things they do?
Risk their families? We are being played. There is something odd about Covid and what we are being told.
First, if Covid was as bad as our leaders tell us it would have decimated the homeless & drug population in cities where they congregate in mass numbers. It didn't. How can that be possible? Second, if lockdowns and masks worked California (and a few other states with harsh mandates) would have reducing Covid numbers but in fact their numbers are rising dramatically. Third, if reduced mandates been a path to Covid disaster than Florida (and a few other states) would have had dramatically increasing Covid rates but they are in fact dramatically lower than California and the other states with strong mandates. Fourth, (and this one is the strangest) Covid seems to be worst in states run by Democrats AND the economy destruction also seems to be worse in states and cities run by Democrats. I am beginning to think that the mandates is more about politics and control because of an agenda than it is about this disease. Covid, covid, covid is nothing more than an extension of Russia, Russia, Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine. It's there to slow down or derail Trump in order that their lawbreaking goes uncovered. I will still put my money behind 4 more years of Trump.
Gee whiz Brian over at [Atlantic]; counting some votes twice would be voter suppression; less than they count now. You know you vote, I'll count elections. And the San Francisco black turn out was way less than than other groups; and that's because those California votes weren't needed.
