Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

The Dalton School and Harvard...really the self inflicted pain could not happen to nicer, more deserving, institutions.
‘Cultural Context’?
Now that grits are becoming prevalent I demand that they be served with a Rebel Yell. "Romney Baffled"
What else is new? Like Trump or not he performed an economic miracle. The problem with all of the left and many on the right is they believe in a free lunch. AG Barr had a press conference today outlining the evidence and the incredible work of the FBI to determine who bombed the aircraft over Lockabie Scotland. Incredible detail like a fragment of a circuit board made in Lybia that they wewre able to trace back to a single individual. I was impressed
And yet in 7 states a total of just over 5 million ballots were cast that the governments of these states didn't print, didn't mail out and did not receive through normal channels. And the FBI is silent and clueless and AG Barr has declared that he sees no evidence of voter fraud. Interestingly the 5 million ballots are the tip of the iceberg as their are close to a 1000 depositions from witnesses and hundreds of examples of other forms of cheating. How can this happen? The greatest crime in the century and the FBI and DOJ ignore it and worse help cover it up. I understand that the FBI is over taxed with their investigations of ropes hanging from garage doors and breaking down the doors of Trump supporters but WTF? I’ve seen it reported that Obama won 873 counties, 69 million votes. Trump, in 2020, won 2,479 counties with 74 million votes. Biden won 477 counties with 81 million votes.
Earlier this year, Bubba Wallace thought he saw a noose in his garage. Fifteen FBI agents were promptly flown in to investigate the noose. If the Justice department wanted to investigate voter fraud, they would have promptly gone to work collecting evidence. As a first step, they would have immediately seized the voting machines as evidence and done a forensic examination. None of this happened. As far as I know, the Justice department has not moved one single agent to investigate voter fraud. This fix is in. The scale of this fraud is not something we should get over. A Bidden administration will be a disaster for this country. Biden is a potential disaster, on many fronts, yes.
The evidence for voter fraud - or at least more than the usual Democratic putting their thumb on the scale - is not very strong. It is certainly not overwhelming, obvious, unquestionable as many on the right are claiming. Please, all of you, read the conservative sites which question the current craze for believing in oppression. Ann Coulter, Dan McLaughlin, just for openers. Ann Coulter is protecting her job. The election fraud this time was so huge you could see it from space. It wasn't just limited to Trump. It is likely that Republicans took the house and Senate without the fraud assisting Democrats. The "Massive" part of the fraud, some 5 million votes, was necessitated by the massive turnout for Trump. The democrats factored in a 26% of all votes for Biden but even that would have lost him the election. Thus the need for a messy and obvious steal in the middle of the night. I simply do not understand those who are will to roll over and accept this. By doing that they become part of the problem.
I predict this will end in bloodshed. Maybe not in the next few months to years but soon enough as the right is completely pushed out of federal government and the left resorts to passing laws to make conservative thinking and actions illegal. It's coming, you would have to be a fool to not see it, SCOTUS could have stopped this but choose to hide. Pretty soon their will be no hiding. My impression is that there is sufficient signs of significant fraud (widespread is one of those weasel words that really is irrelevant to the issue at hand) that independent counsel should be appointed with subpoena powers.
But whether you believe there was a critical level of fraud or not is immaterial. Roughly half the country believes there was was enough fraud that we cannot believe that this was a "free and fair" election. Enough so that we don't believe there should be a peaceful transition of power at this time. That is a disaster, a deadly cancer on the functioning of this country, and it is being sustained by mainstream media lying and covering up, of mainstream politicians stonewalling (as if we should take their word for anything at this point). If you want to stop that infection, the ONLY thing that can do that at this point is massive transparency and forceful investigations. Blathering heads saying the elections were "free and fair" is NOT going to cut it this time. They have NO credibility. "or at least more than the usual Democratic putting their thumb on the scale" Why do we let them get away with any weighting of the outcome?
I can't read Ann Coulter. 2020 may have just reached peak bizzaro world, if Ann Coulter is the voice of reason. For the last three years, we sat back and witnessed these very same people, try and impeach the President, based on far less evidence than the piles of voter fraud evidence, that continue to be uncovered every day. Even worse, we know for certain that they made up evidence, lied to the FISA court, in order to prosecute the President. These are terrible crimes. And you want to give them a pass on this? I think you're badly wrong on this one, AVI. I invite you to listen to this testimony, about 5 minutes.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1341205643525537794 Over 130,000 instances of fraudulent voting was tracked down - not estimated, not guessed, not hypothesized - tracked down and investigated in Nevada alone. It takes time to track down fraud and cross-check it, but that is exactly what this man's organization has done, in very little time. And it is still being ignored. Of course the clock has pretty much run out, which was part of the successfully proven model - if you don't have time to produce evidence, it didn't happen. I personally would like to see teams of armed Federal Marshalls on standby in problem precincts to act immediately on complaints from poll watchers - a real-time resolution team for Federal Elections, empowered to keep order, empowered to arrest anyone. Where the stakes are as high as controlling the reins of the most powerful nation in the world, and gaining access to some of the sweetest enrichment schemes around, the competition is fierce, and the intrigue, betrayal, conspiracies, and deception is even more fierce.
I think Trump figured he could take on the political system in DC by relying on his preexisting political understanding and trusting his wits and his gut, because these things have served his interests well in making his mark in the business world. But running a big business is not the same thing as wielding the national power of the US. And he had no idea that his worst enemies were already holding him close. Comey, Barr, Pompeo, McConnell, and many others, they all represent the Republican establishment. he has been on his own since Day 1. He just didn't really absorb the gravity of it until the election. Now that's deception. But I don't think he's demoralized. He has plans for 2024 and a lot to do to get there. So does his base. Hahvahd: The STUPID is STRONG in these ones.

Chefs regularly borrow and pay tribute. José Andrés, the renowned Spanish-born restaurateur, grew an empire cooking the cuisines of not only his home country, but Lebanon, Turkey, and China. I'll tell you what's really going on with this story. The Koreans aren't worried about a lady making Bibimbap. Over the last twenty years, an intellectual property battle has been raging, where countries, and cities, and governments claim to "own" the cultural heritage of their respective countries. As an example, the Hawaiian government copyrighted all the Hulu dances, and now wants to charge the hotels whenever they have a Luau. So Bibimbap, and every other food recipe in the world is now copyrighted, and may not be used without permission. In the future, if your kitchen camera sees that you're making a Key Lime Pie, the royalty payment will be automatically withdrawn from your bank account. You can borrow, and pay tribute, but you can't just copy. That would be stealing. Everything is intellectual property. Colors, flavors, recipes, songs, words, phrases, even thoughts. Montana: Move here, but don't change us
That's what my cousin in Montana says. She moved there in the '60s. Didn't try convert anyone to anything- except for teaching her grandchildren to write in cursive. As the schools weren't teaching them cursive, she decided to do it. She told her grandchildren that learning to write cursive was not optional for grandchildren visiting her household. I discovered bibimbap years ago. I love the dish and try to get it whenever I can find it. Since I'm not Korean, I suppose I am culturally appropriating something I don't deserve, and my answer to that is, get stuffed.
re CDC Urging States To Vaccinate Black/Brown People Over Whites…
This could easily be interpreted as, "Let's test the vaccine on the POC first. If it works on them we'll use it on the white folks." It's been tested already, you shit for brains retard.
You must be a troll - regular commenters and readers of Maggies Farm don't post this kind of vitriol. But according to your name at least you admit to being what you are.
Feeblemind thinks you're insulting him. Or would, if that asshat could think.
Is this forum 8814 friendly? I think it is. I think you'll find this forum is decidedly unfriendly to your style of discourse. I don't even disagree with you on the central point of whether the virus's safety has been reasonably tested and established, but I still wish you'd go away immediately.

Nobody sends a kid to Dalton to learn math or chemistry. You send a kid to Dalton to learn to be a member of the ruling class. That’s the business they’re in, and they take it very seriously. They’re delivering good value to the customers.
Powerline: “However, Harvard cannot discriminate on the basis of race.”
Why on earth not? If the courts say they can, the law says they can, and it’s been a long time since a court said anybody couldn’t discriminate against second-class citizens. Schools were opened in September here in Alberta, to the relief of children and grandchildren alike. The grandbrats are all young'uns so they were able to get a full term in before Christmas break. From all accounts, the offsprings did well, particularly the young'un who found himself in a class whose teacher has a soft spot for rambunctious boys. Gather this teacher has her curriculum organized to provide time for the boys' rambunctioning; regardless, grandbrat is loving the class and really learning lots.
It's easy to slag teachers - and a fair few need calling out - but give this woman credit: she enjoys teaching little boys and works with them rather than trying to turn them into little girls. |
