Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

There are always two hidden messages in anything the left says:

1. We want and will take from you your money. We will tell you we want to defund police but what we really mean is we want the power over how that money is spent.
2. We want more power for our special interest group (which by the way is never you).

They will say anything to get these two things. The new voter rights act they want to pass is really a "make voter fraud easier" act. But they learned decades ago that the right title makes their actions good and your opposing it bad.

Well stated, and so true! Prosperity, and the other benefits of civilization, are the consequences of human liberty, not the causes.

Of course, that isn't good enough for people who have a Better Idea.
